Such a lovely warm inviting experience at this place. The service is friendly and attentive. Our meal was so tasty and the cocktails were the best we have had. He even serves normal drinks with a attention to detail. We'll be back.

My partner and I visited this lovely cafe for lunch, wanting to try somewhere a bit different, and we were absolutely over the moon with our experience! The decor is stunning, with a boutique-style ambiance that feels both glamorous and cozy. The bar, with its wide range of drinks, immediately caught our eye. The atmosphere was perfect—relaxing music and charming board games on the tables added a delightful touch! The customer service was exceptional. We were served by a very lovely gentleman (who we believe might be the owner), and he made us feel so welcome, catering to our every need with genuine warmth. We opted for the ciabatta sandwiches, paired with coffee. We enjoyed our time so much that we didn’t want to leave, so we treated ourselves to cocktails afterward—they were absolutely irresistible and so refreshing! This cafe is a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent customer service. The best caramel cake and cocktails. I loved the ambiance as well, neat, calm and homely.

So glad we stumbled across this little gem on our visit to Dorking. Delicious home cooked food, great drinks and super attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended 👍🏻

I had the best brunch dish I’ve ever had here on Saturday. The duck and waffle is a must try on the menu! It was so delicious, I even enjoyed the kale and I normally hate kale! The service was excellent as always, flat whites were so good my friend and I ordered a second one each and just a lovely atmosphere in there. Great brunch spot with parking round the back!

What a beautiful place! My husband and I popped in for breakfast, and every part of our meal was fantastic. The ingredients are really topped quality, and cooked with such attention to detail. Service was fabulous.

One of my absolute favourite places, and can't believe I haven't written a review before! Fabulous food, both brunch and pizza. We always feel very welcomed and whenever the menu changes it's super exciting to find out what absolute genius meals they've come up with again! (Although I do miss the Mexican eggs, so crossing my fingers they'll be back this summer!) If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

Favourite place to eat by a mile! I frequently visit and they are always consistent. Exceptional quality, exceptional staff, (they pick their staff carefully and it shows) imaginative seasonal menu, fair pricing (cheapest place for takeaway coffee), and a warm, friendly laidback atmosphere with great decor. Always top of my list to recommend ✨

Great little cafe on the town centre. Not a huge menu, but everything is perfect! Lovely attentive and friendly staff! Will be coming back!

Lovely small cafe, quite busy often find there's not enough seating to the amount of customers. However the food standards are brilliant 👏 the staff are welcoming and friendly. Recommended for a nice cuppa and breakfast if you get a chance.

Lovely decor in this place, bright and fresh. Friendly and polite service. Food was lovely, nice cup of tea as well.
Rating: 5 / 5
A specialty cafe with a healthy menu, calming décor, wood tables, local merchandise, smiles of the servers. My sausage sarnie came with red onions in it of which its sweetness went well with the pork, the sourdough freshly moist, the meat freshly juicy. My wife's avocado on toast was wholesome but the avocado was cut in halves though garnished with red pepper. I would prefer it being smashed and seasoned.

The Plucky Pheasant

Rating: 4.6 (718) Price Level:
We stopped by for breakfast and I tried the Plucky Breakfast. It was delicious, and the bacon was definitely the highlight, it was perfectly cooked, which is rare to find these days. The staff were warm and attentive and the cozy atmosphere was just the cherry on top!

We had a great experience here the other day. This cafe restaurant was busy so we had to park a newlands corner across the road. The staff were friendly and even though it was busy the service was quick. We both ordered burgers for lunch, which cost £16 each. My own burger was the plucky pheasant beef burger, with cheddar and chilli jam. This was a mighty burger, that had a great taste, texture and was filled with toppings. It came with crispy french fries and a salad. Loved this burger! My other half ordered the Southern fried chicken burger which was also good, though not as epic as the beef burger. Worth knowing this is a dog friendly cafe, and at busy times like this there were about 10 dogs in the tented area where we were seated. All well behaved and a joy to see 😀 Updating based on our second trip here, as ever great atmosphere and place to get some excellent food. This time around I had a Moroccan lamb sandwich which was superbly tasty, my other half had the chicken panini which she wasn't too impressed by. The salad dressing looked a bit strange but worked well flavour wise . We sat indoors to order lunch, it was cosy, the staff were friendly as usual and food arrived promptly.
Rating: 4 / 5
Great up-market cafe. It was pretty busy when we arrived although there were tables available inside and some more in the attached marquee. The food was very good and filling. The atmosphere was good too. Definitely worth a visit.

Emailed to book for lunch on 30/12. Responded quickly confirming our booking. As ever the welcome was warm, the service excellent and the food delicious. Highly recommended as ever. Wild & Green Kitchen

We went for lunch today on our first visit and were really impressed. The coffee actually tasted like coffee and the hot food was equally tasty. The menu was eclectic and made a change from the usual panini. Also, very good value.

Popped in for Sunday brunch. Great food and service was good. I had the avocado on toast with poached egg and bacon and it was delicious. Not a great fan of the coffee but that's more to do with personal taste. Atmosphere was good and we had plenty of space including a child buggy and high chair.
Rating: 5 / 5
First time popping into Wild & Green as just moved into the area. Really lovely inside and great service. The only sad thing is that it’s not that easy to see from the road so need to redesign their balcony area to make it more inviting. We are looking forward to coming back for their Friday and Saturday evenings!

The Dabbling Duck
Middle St, Shere, Guildford GU5 9HF, UK | Cafe P: 01483 205791
Rating: 4.5 (1223) Price Level:
First time came and amazing village… we had latte and duck (which is full)breakfast which was very delicious. What amazed me was the breakfast was hot till half way through as I ate slowly… lol. Anyw, that was super tasty for me. The whole experience was lovely and we planned to come back again some time in the near future.
Rating: 4 / 5
Had a lovely breakfast at the dabbling duck. The staff were all very friendly and service and food could not be faulted. There was only one fly in the ointment. We sat inside the cafe as did a lot of dog owners. My friend has allergies and is a bit wary of dogs so it was a bit off putting to her. They were also all a bit over excited and ‘talking’ to each other which made it hard for us to converse. I’ve no objection to well behaved dogs but not everyone feels the same for various reasons and they are not necessarily just being intolerant. The Dabbling Duck has a large heated marquee outside as well as covered heated outdoor seating. Would it not be a good compromise to welcome dogs only to these areas and keep the small inside seating area pet free. Other than that small niggle it was a lovely brunch before a bracing walk in beautiful countryside surrounding Shere.
Rating: 4 / 5
Lovely dog friendly cafe in a beautiful village with lots of outdoor seating. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They have a good selection of lunch options. The only critique we would make is that the coffee and walnut cake had little to no coffee in it. But lunch was delicious.

Cafe with quite a large garden area (partially covered - they have a heated yurt!) which is well done up and nice to sit in. Good selection of cakes and drinks with table service. A bit pricey though!

Bart's Café
Unit 9 Cobbett Park, Moorfield Rd, Guildford GU1 1RU, UK | Coffee Shop P: Not available
Rating: 4.6 (11) Price Level:
Friendly service. The cakes were delicious, highly recommend the pistachio slice! The 'white hot chocolate' on the other hand tasted merely of boiled milk, topped with cream and marshmallows. The only seating area we could use was right in front of the ladies washroom, which isn't ideal for obvious reasons...and also the constant foot traffic.
Rating: 5 / 5
Sandwiches were big and really good. Staff friendly. Cake was great and good selection. Cafe is open sided so you can watch the climbers. Worth a visit
Rating: 5 / 5
Went to grab something to eat based on reviews whilst my car was being serviced. WOW you lucky climbers! I admit I turned up famished but this was genuinely one of the best sandwiches I have had in a cafe ever. I had chicken, bacon and avocado; husband had ploughmans and equally raved. Anyone who works in the area should find this little gem. Thank you

The Abinger Hatch
Abinger Ln, Abinger Common, Dorking RH5 6HZ, UK | Pub P: 01306 730737
Rating: 4.4 (1026) Price Level:
Lovely tucked away countryside pub with good and quick service, consistently good food.
Rating: 5 / 5
Oh my gosh. Such an incredible pub - food was amazing and next level, service was absolutely brilliant too. Everyone was so friendly. I cannot recommend the crab on toast enough - the bread was (not kidding at all) the best bread I’ve ever had. Fish pie was also amazing. 10/10. Great food, energy and dog friendly so even better after a long dog walk with our puppy!! Will definitely be back!
Rating: 5 / 5
Great old pub, fish and chips were perfect. Also had the Scotch egg and Cider, and for dessert the sticky toffee pudding with double cream is a must, so be sure to save room!
Rating: 4 / 5
A lovely off the beaten track pub that's a clear hit with the locals. The trio of roasts was great, a good portion, reasonably priced at around £20, but would recommend adding a few sides. Only let down was the children's portion sizes-cost. The pictured sausage and mash.....£8.50. Far too much for a single sausage and meager scoop of mash.
Rating: 4 / 5
Nice country pub serving food. Suday lunch was good. Sounds like the vegetarian/vegan option is a wellington but the contents of it changes by week. When I visited it was curried sweet potatoes with some other vegetables inside. It was delicious with just a subtle curry spice that went well with the traditional trimmings. It's always a bit disappointing to find that the sides - stuffing, cauliflower cheese etc don't have a vegan alternativebut otherwise the food was good!
