The Best Cafes in Nutfield, Surrey, United Kingdom (2025)

We stayed for three nights between Christmas and New Year in a superior double room. The room was spotless and beautifully appointed, very comfortable bed. I had an issue with the evening servicing of the room which was only carried out once during my stay. The breakfast was disappointing. The cold selection was limited and very portion controlled. Service was slow and the hot food wasn't very good. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and again the food was poor and our order was muddled up resulting in meals arriving at different times. The staff were friendly and tried hard to give good service but they were let down by the chefs. It was expensive and I didn't feel that it was value for money. However I would stay again and it is in a beautiful location and well maintained hotel.

I regularly stay here for work and it's always a pleasure. The team go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. Rooms are lovely, clean and spacious. The touch I appreciated today was the lovely lady on the front desk taking note of how cold I get (I'd asked for extra blankets) and suggesting to add to my preferences for winter to put me in a warmer room if possible. I didn't even know that was possible but it's such a lovely touch! Thank you again team!

My partner and I received a Christmas gift for a Luxury Spa Day with treatment and afternoon tea and we booked it in for Monday this week. We received a very warm welcome from Jack who explained everything to us. We both had a full body massage and we both said it had to be one of the best massages we've ever had. I had Kaitlyn (my partner can't remember the name of his therapist). We took time to enjoy the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, and then had our afternoon tea which was delicious. Lovely little details like herbal teas and fresh pastries to nibble on if getting peckish. It really was a fantastic quality day. Thank you

Absolutely fabulous! What an incredible place with incredible people. The best service, and hospitality in England. Jamie at the front desk to the wonderful restaurant staff who stayed late and made us a five star dinner, beautiful and fresh sea bass with an amazing steak 🥩, breakfast this morning didn't disappoint either. Overall, an impeccable place with top people, love the history and the wine. Well maintained. Our room was stunning with beautiful views. Can't wait to come back. Wow - What a fantastic organisation- Everywhere was busy however all the staff we met were amazing and very helpful and with a smile on their faces. Many organisations need to learn their secret formula. It is very difficult to keep everyone happy but I can say our experience was exceptional. In particular we had an excellent service from the old gentleman who showed us to our table and the lady at the till as well as Christina who was very helpful and professional. Even the team who guided us to a parking slot in the pouring rain also managed to smile ! The food was excellent quality and well presented. Well done all. We will be back for sure !

This place is beautiful! Loads todo for the kids and each season the walk is themed. (Ticketed). It took us about an hour, so will definitely tire out little legs! Buggy friendly even if a bit bumpy in parts. Food in the cafe is expensive for what you get (the breakfast pictured was £11.50! But you are a captured audience so... ) There are picnic benches by the lake so a picnic in the warmer months may be a better shout. When we went it was really busy but that didn't matter, it's really well run, plenty of space and didn't feel over crowded even though the car park was full to the max. Standard garden centre and a farm shop too - prices as you would expect. But all in all a really lovely day out for the whole family.
