My favourite cafe given the great options for food and drinks. The staff are lovely, and work hard as they can even when there is a line out the door. If you don’t mind being patient then it’s worth the wait on the busier days :)
Rating: 4 / 5
The coffee and pastries are great. The staff is ... well extremely slow to serve. It seems that whatever they are doing is done in slow motion. The location is great. Coffee prices are fine too. Recommended if you have time to wait in line for a long time on busy days.

Great tasty food, toasted sandwich, tea and sausage roll great to support this cafe when at work Also in a great location with views across to Canary Wharf

A really lovely little cafe with a view of the Thames, and attached to a small city farm. The outdoor seething is nicely space, with beautiful surroundings. The space inside is a little on the small side, but it doesn’t matter, because the service is quick. The staff are friendly and patient, he explained the food when we asked questions. All the food is really fresh and looks so good, with generous portions. I got a bottled fruit juice that had carrot and ginger in, and the plain sausage roll, which was actually full of flavour, and good quality Cumberland type meat. The staff member accidentally knocked it and straight away grabbed a different sausage for me, without me having to even ask, immaculate hygiene and attention to detail, an extra bonus, if I could give 6 stars, I would. I was really tempted by the cakes, they had all my favourites. This is a great location for lunch, or to sit whilst waiting for a friend. It’s family friendly and there’s vegetarian options. I will be back again.

Amazing place , amazing staff and I love coming here. Have been there before as well. This time reached after 3 pm so food options were limited . So we tried hot chocolate and scones and loved both. Fruit Scone was really really nice. Next time I will try the cheese scone :)

Lovely location and decor. We had a sandwich and ploughman's, they tasted great and we loved the service.

Stopped here on a charity cycle ride from London to Poole. What an amazing pitstop for 15 minutes. Internally, the cafe is incredibly cosy, with a quintessential English feel to it, in a quiet, bucolic setting. When it comes to cakes, they offer all the classics, and by the taste of the granola bar I ordered, I reckon they have the recipes bang on. I also noticed a wide selection of teas, which I will have to try next time. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area and “gasping for that cuppa!”

The menu is AMAZING. The prawn toast (in my pics) is my absolute fave - really delicious. I had a birthday brunch here a few days ago and asked for a table for around 15 people and for a small restaurant they made some accommodations and it was one of the best birthdays. Really lovely place and as an ex Aussie i appreciate all the snacks! Tim tams and all!

First of all, the food is really good and tasty. We went there for the breakfast. Unfortunately the coffee is 50/50: flat white is ok, but cappuccino has unusual proportions: it’s mostly milk and you don’t really feel the coffee. The staff in restaurant was friendly and we felt very welcomed. Be sure: you need to book the table in advance (especially during the weekend), otherwise you would need to wait until a table is free.

Pear Tree is a newly opened cafe hidden behind the main street. They serve a delicious selection of dishes; my table ordered "Duck Hash" & a chicken dish with chips (forgot the name) - served with a tomato sauce & salad. Their food is fresh & every bite is delicious. Cafe is quite quiet and spenny in fact; the portions sizes are not that big either. I recommend coming here if you would like a fancy lunch or dinner. You can even dine in and work too! With more improvements - quality & quantity to complement the price of each item - The Pear Tree would be a spectacular spot for locals. Rating 4-5 stars, supporting local business.

Just visited for the first time whilst walking my dog....so fab that a coffee place is open this early (7.30am) that I can grab a hot drink and go for a dog walk at the same place before work. Lovely coffee, pastries and very friendly staff

Lovely small soft play with an area for little babies. We like this place because i can see my child at all times when she is climbing. They do decent coffee and tea. Good access for wheelchair users and buggies.

First time here for breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and did all they could to make my visit a pleasant one. Food was very good and tasty too. The menu is good, with breakfast being served daily. Other food options are available at other times. Definitely a place to return, for the food alone, as I’m not a gardener.
Rating: 5 / 5
Breakfast has a number of options available including full English, plant based, light, pancakes with various sweet toppings and breakfast sandwiches. Wait staff were both polite and well informed. Was asked if I had a food allergy as had opted for a soya milk coffee. Hot drinks included tea, a selection of coffees and hot chocolate. Food and orders were taken in a timely fashion. The average price for breakfast was around £9.99 Lunch and afternoon tea are also available during the day. The cafe is spacious and airy with plenty of natural daylight. Very relaxed and welcoming vibe in the restaurant. The garden centre has a small selection of craft items, plus a pet supplies section, gifts, cakes, indoor and outdoor plants and accessories plus home items. These are quite pricey.

Lovely place by the river. Had the fisherman’s breakfast which was good, only I thought that the hash brown was lacklustre and the toast was missing butter. Service was good, nothing to complain about considering how busy they were. Atmosphere was great, packed to the brim on a Saturday afternoon
Rating: 5 / 5
Only 4 for service as it was quiet but they forgot my tea. Would imagine it'd fab when busy but lovely sitting by the river first thing. Had cake to take away - Victoria sponge 🧽 which was lovely. Will return and take friends too.

The last time I visited the experience wasn’t great, they were understaffed, food arrived before our drinks, took over an hour for us to get any food and by that point we were done. However, we tried it again and everything was perfect - staff were friendly, food was delicious (and didn’t take long) and the atmosphere was far better. We will be returning!

I’ve always wanted to try this spot since I’ve been living in the area, and I finally had the chance. We only stopped by for drinks, a cheese platter, and dessert. While the food wasn’t particularly impressive, the overall vibe of the place was quite cozy and inviting. It’s the kind of spot that would be nice to unwind at if you’re a local, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must-visit for anything beyond convenience. Still, the atmosphere makes it a pleasant place to relax for a casual evening. And I will definitely go back to try the food!

A lovely spot for a family lunch. The set menu was good value, food fresh and tasty. Impressed by the really amazing, accommodating service from friendly staff. Service was slow on the day we went but we were a large group. A super experience!
