Beautiful hidden gem if you hadn’t heard of the cafe, it is one of this that isn’t stood out very well but my aunt brought me here today. I ordered one of the specials and my compliments to the chef as was beautifully balanced on spices and portion was bigger than expected. Enjoyed very much. When I asked if had cream - I thought pouring cream so ordered a coffee with cream, had an americano with squirty cream but did work just as well. Staff were fantastically friendly and I recommend visiting here.
This really is the best experience in Croydon for lunch or just a coffee anytime. The food is exceptional and the cakes delicious. Above all the staff are very helpful and friendly. The Manager is always on hand to assist with any problems and sorts it out immediately. The food arrives very promptly at the table so there is very little waiting. The restaurant is in a historic and beautiful building where natural light floods in through the glass ceiling which was first used for the central station built on that site in the 19th century. Overall a very lovely, enjoyable and restful experience, whether with friends or alone, with art covering the walls from local artists.
