I now have a new favourite pub. Staff is friendly and professional, food is great and the atmosphere very cosy.
I had a good meal with a traditional prwn cocktail and avocado starter and a halibut fillet sitting on a home made mash potato with asparagus. The criticism would be the small quantity of fish for a 25.95GBP dish.
Food was good, although the chicken wing portion is very stingy for the price, mains were nice, good portion size. Friend had bruschetta, which it wasn't.. cherry tomatoes cut in half with basalmic vinegar on ciabatta bread.. My main gripe was the service, it took 20 mins to take our starter order (pub was virtually empty) received them nearly an hour after sitting at the table.. The young ladies serving were polite and friendly.. easily fixed, to make a better experience for next time.
food was excellent ,well worth a vist.😊real onion rings and the kids fish fingers were nice bits of cod in batter
The Queen's Head is an absolute gem! The food is outstanding—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.
