This is a proper old boozer. Old fashioned in its decor but I like that. The service is always quick and staff are friendly. Nice outside seating area too. The menu has something for everyone and the food I had was quick and really lovely. The menu is well priced too. Lovely village pub

Love this pub. You can go out to villages and pop into a pub and have an over priced beer with gastro pub pretence. Or you can come to the eagle a very welcoming old school village pub. Good food and good character.

We popped in from the street seeing that it was a typical English proper pub, we were made so very welcome by Lorraine, we felt at home, the locals were engaging, the drinks delicious and a fair price, there was good banter and we stayed much longer that we planned to. We were invited to join a friend for Sunday lunch, hadn't been before. Pub looks a bit unprepossessing on first impressions, but the staff were friendly and our roast meal was delicious, as was dessert. Reasonably priced and we will definitely return! 😊

The food was nice. Staff very helpful. As I am disabled the staff kindly brought my tray over to the table. The space between the tables was actually of a good size. I thought that the price was a little high. However, It is important to acknowledge the recent price increases.

I've been to a few Boswells previously and the food has been horrible. To the point that we swore we wouldn't visit another. Well, 5 years later and needing to stop somewhere to feed my 11 month old and we stopped in this Boswells. The food was so hot and tasty. The tables were clean, tidy and spacious. The service was exceptional, especially from Austin and Eleanor. These two are a credit to the company. I would try Boswells again just due to this establishment. Thank you so much 💓

Went today and didn’t expected it to be that busy. Ordered vegetarian breakfast and must say we loved it. Decent prices as compared to other places and considering inflation. Special shout out to staff,they were swamped with customers & still offered top class service respectful, polite and helpful. Keep up the good work and thank you👏
