This establishment ranks highly among my preferred dining venues. The level of customer care is exceptional, particularly thanks to the proprietor, Isaac. He possesses a commendable demeanor, demonstrating familiarity with all patrons and engaging in daily conversations, exchanges of pleasantries, and the like. Such kindness is truly unparalleled. The ambiance, the assortment of freshly baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, not to mention the pistachio ice latte and cinnamon roll, all contribute to a delightful experience. I extend my sincere gratitude to Isaac for his gracious hospitality.❤️

We originally just popped in for coffee. Then our teen tried the hot chocolate. The best hot chocolate ever. Now refuses to get it anywhere else. (We like the hazelnut chocolate also). The avocado on toast is absolutely delicious. This is our favorite spot for Sunday mornings (and other mornings for a takeaway). Oh and the other teen love love loves the bubble tea. Again, won’t get it anywhere else now.

Hands down the best spot in town for specialty coffee! The attention to detail in every cup is incredible, and the pastries are massive and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying some quiet time. The customer service is top notch—it’s no wonder this place is loved by everyone in the area. Can’t recommend it enough!

Excellent coffee and super friendly staff. When we first went there to get some takeaway a younger man of 18 or 19 was running the espresso machine. He made some really good coffee and I had a nice chat with him while he made my order along with a female employee who I think was a sister or sister in law. It was just a friendly atmosphere with really well made coffee. When my wife did the coffee run the next day they remembered me and she had a good chat and also came back singing their praises. After that we made sure to pop in and get a coffee there on most days for the remainder of our trip to the UK and said goodbye before we left. We'll definitely pop in whenever we're back in St Margarets

Without doubt the best coffee and pastries in the area. Where’s there’s not a shortage of coffee venues Isaac’s stands out for its quality, atmosphere and value. Warm welcoming vibe and attention to detail from bean to cup. Hamza and his team have created a real family feel, always interesting and interested in those around them without being intrusive. Perfect place to chill or grab a coffee before the train to work.

Really lovely specialty coffee shop tucked away towards the end of Twickenham High Street. Friendly staff, high quality roasts and great toasties. They have alternative milk options as well as vegan friendly toasties and occasionally gluten free food too. The chocolate banana loaf is one of my favourites from their pastry selection. I'd recommend their iced mochas here, especially in the hot summer weather! The café atmosphere is perfect for those wishing to pop in for a quick coffee and sit down, or bring a laptop to work a little! ☕✨

Located in the heart of Twickenham, this specialty coffee shop is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. The aroma of freshly ground beans, expertly crafted coffee, and a diverse selection of single-origin beans make it a standout destination. The cozy ambiance enhances the experience, and I must add, my morning overnight oats were delicious. A must-visit for exceptional brews and breakfast delights in Twickenham.

Water Lane Coffee

1a Water Ln, Twickenham TW1 3NP, UK | Coffee Shop
P: 020 4568 6997

Rating: 4.9 (87) Price Level:

The coffee and the texture of the oat milk in my flat white was flawless. I love the interior design and the beautiful cups, plus the staff are friendly and served the coffee with a smile! The location is ideal next to the river, and my dog was welcome too. The only downside is that the tables/ space are quite cramped. I wouldn't recommend sitting in - after all, less than 100m down the road are benches by the river.

Great new coffee shop just recently opened in Twickenham. Serving the highly rated Brick Lane coffee and a selection of pastries. The owner is welcoming and engaging and the space is nicely designed with well thought out touches like the terrazzo marble counter. Excellent new addition to the local community. Highly recommended.

Best tasting coffee in Twickenham! I do coffee crawls throughout the Borough of Richmond, and I rank this as no. 1. You can see the coffee being prepared and smell its aroma upon entering the store. The barista is an expert at coffee making, always remembers my order and gives me a wave on my way back from yoga. The aura of the place has a pleasant and soothing casual feel about it. Make it a destination!

Solid hipster cafe that was very welcome to an Australian in need of acceptable coffee in Twickenham. Had a well-above average oat flat white made by a young hipster barista. Felt like home. Slight edit - 2 out of 3 times I came this place wasn’t open when it was supposed to be.

Really good coffee. And they do the Japanese pour-over devices here, too. When I came in they had a single origin from Rwanda as well as a blend, and both are delicious. The Rwandan seemed quite a light roast. For a cappuccino the milk was prepared more like a latte, but delicious. It's at the top end in terms of prices. The interior is quite scruffy and looks cramped and unfinished. This is a pop up shop which hasn't been here long, but it didn't look very comfortable so I took it out and sat by the river. They do have food options but, as the owner said, they don't sell much food. Also, bagged coffee is available and can be ground on request. Recently they seem to open when they feel like it, rather than conforming to a timetable like normal retail businesses.

This coffee shop has got me hooked, I haven’t had a Starbucks or Costa since as they just don’t taste as good! The cheese and wine event was absolutely a great idea, which my mum loved tasting the different cheese and wines. The host was very knowledgeable on the cheese on the cheeseboard and wines, which he experienced the background and why he chose them. He was very kind and helpful with any questions we had about the cheese and wine on offer. From our experience, specifically my mum, we recommend visiting the cheese and wine event pop shop at SOUL cafe while it is still open. My mum would love for the host to open a shop because we would definitely visit in the future. 🧀🍷♥️😍🙏😋

Some good plant-based options. We had the jackfruit burger and the mushroom burger was veganised for us. Both delicious. The place doesn't have good ventilation so the air was very pungent with oil & odours from the kitchen, which clung to our clothing for a long time and made it slightly difficult to breathe for me. We will likely return to try some of the other plant-based items. To the owner: please consider your animal victims and your impact on our planet, and make the logical choice to go fully plant-based, or, better yet, be vegan.

They welcome dogs and they can grab a pup cup. We don't own a dog but it's lovely that our 4 legged friends are considered part of the community. The cafe itself is clean and comfortable. Lots available for all they cater to vegetarian and vegan very well so that's nice being a vegetarian most places don't have such a verity on the menue this place had lots. My husband and son eat meat and again very well catered to. They really have thought of everyone here. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back soon.

The ambiance, the music, the calm, the peace, the view is something I always strive to find but always get disappointed but this Cafe has it all, can’t believe it sometimes. But now i always go and try their menu and God the food is beyond impeccable it’s so mouth watering and delicious that I always recommend people to try their menu and just so you know I went yesterday and they told they are gonna upgrade their menu and gonna add whole of things and they had this mini avocado toast for people try and it was good I want it on the menu asap.
