Wylie's Coffee
8 Crown Rd, St Margarets, Twickenham TW1 3EE, UK | Coffee Shop P: Not available
Rating: 4.8 (153) Price Level:
Went here earlier this week. The service is very warm and friendly and I had one of the best flat whites in my life. Perfectly extracted espresso, full of flavour. To me it tasted like passion fruit ice cream. Very sweet, fruity and creamy. The milk was spot on and the perfect temperature. Shame I don't like nearby otherwise this would be my regular spot. The only downside was I came here at midday and they had ran of food completely which is a shame.

Dogs welcome! Can’t wait for Wylie’s After Hours too, looking forward to some wine evenings! Wylie’s St Margaret’s - 2022 Not only is the coffee incredibly good, you've got a range of tasty treats to pick from too. The owners are always super friendly and serve with a smile on their face! If you're looking for an 'Instagrammable' coffee shop, this is certainly one of them - you won't be disappointed. Definitely take a visit to Wylie's :)

A very delightful coffee shop, which a refreshingly unique selection of pastries, not just plain, stale factory made croissants.

Great little independent coffee shop near St Margarets station (opposite St Margarets Tavern). Friendly staff who make awesome coffee. Good selection of food and beans for takeaway and little shop out back selling local items too. Really warm and inviting - the interior fitout, decor and atmosphere all top notch… will be a good “working from home” spot so definitely heading back ☕️

We came here yesterday morning and it was amazing. The place is very cute. The entire staff was so welcoming and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious. I came with my wife and three children under the age of five years old. The staff smiled and were great. We will definitely be back here. I highly recommend coming here!

Visited this cosy cafe for the first time with a friend for breakfast. I absolutely loved it, and I will certainly be dining there again. The menu is brilliant - a mix of traditional English options but also a fab choice of Turkish dishes. I went for the 'folded eggs', which was full of flavour, filling, and cooked to perfection (compliments to the chef!) I couldn't resist a rose latte, which was a really nice twist on a regular latte and looked (almost) too pretty to drink. Friendly service with a smile, and I look forward to trying something different next time I pop in. Thank you!

I’ve always been a fan of Turkish cuisine, and my wife and I usually travel 45 minutes to dine at one of London's top-rated Turkish restaurants. It's a well-known, award-winning spot that never disappoints. However, while waiting for my wife outside a hair salon, I stumbled upon this gem and decided to give it a try—what a fantastic decision that turned out to be! Initially, I was unsure whether they offered their full menu on Sundays, as the website didn’t make it clear. I tried calling a few times but only got the answering machine. Since I was nearby, I decided to walk in, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. We were offered a choice of any available table, which was a lovely touch. The décor was fresh and inviting, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. It’s always nice to see a restaurant that puts effort into its ambiance. One thing that stood out to us immediately was the children’s menu. Instead of the usual nuggets and chips, there were healthier options, which we appreciated. Our little one ordered the spaghetti Bolognese and absolutely loved it—so much so that they tried their best to finish the entire dish! They gave it a 10/10 for flavor, which speaks volumes. For starters, we had the hot mixed meze, which was delicious. My only suggestion would be to finely chop the spinach in the börek instead of using whole leaves, as I think it would be more appetizing that way. Still, the meze gets a solid 9/10, and I’ll be praying for those finely chopped spinach leaves next time! For the main course, we opted for the mixed grill, and it was exceptional. Every piece of meat was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of flavour. I didn’t even feel the need to use the garlic sauce because the meats were so tasty on their own. I chose chips as a side, and they were perfectly cooked as well. A well-deserved 10/10 for this dish, and compliments to the chef! To finish, I had a homemade brownie from the dessert selection. While I usually prefer my brownies cold, this one was served warm, as is typical in most places. It was still quite enjoyable. All in all, I’m thrilled to have discovered this restaurant, and it’s safe to say it’s my new go-to spot for Turkish food, replacing even the famous, award-winning restaurant I used to frequent. The future looks bright for this place as long as they maintain the consistency they’ve shown. One small suggestion: while the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, I noticed that the coffee machine sometimes blocked the view of customers. It’s worth keeping an eye out to make sure no one is missing side plates, cutlery, or a dish they’ve ordered. Small details like this can make a great experience even better. Well done to the team for creating such a wonderful dining experience. I hope you find my feedback helpful, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

WOW! This is an absolute hidden gem of a venue. The Sucuk and Eggs is an incredibly delicious disb, the flavours and look of the food was so good that we went back a second time during the week! My brother who lives in Sydney already wants to return, asking if we can come back here as a definite part of his agenda during his next stay. The owner is the friendliest person I've ever met at a cafe, she made us feel like one of the family/regulars and brought out a lottle something extra to try that she had made recently. The prices are great for the quality of taste, portion sizes and service received. It's hard not to want to keep ordering more even if you're full. We have already recommended this venue to everyone we know in and out of the area. Thanks again for being so awesome, hopefully we will be back in again soon for another brunch.

I was here a few weeks ago, for the 1ST TIME!! I haven't tasted cheesecake this good for a very very long time ago! The staff were very attentive and genuinely very nice. My only suggestion is that the cafe needs a little uplift in the ambience stakes....it was a bit bland and cold looking...needs some rustic charm....which I'm happy to advise on... The most important thing is the food and drink though... Tea was lovely...beautiful plates and cups! Well done

I come here with my mum almost every other day and absolutely adore it! The food is unmatched and easily the best I’ve ever had and that’s saying something; the atmosphere is wonderful and the people are so so kind. Reda and the others always put a smile on everyone’s face! They even sung me happy birthday and got me cake! They’re too kind 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Best tasting coffee in Twickenham! I do coffee crawls throughout the Borough of Richmond, and I rank this as no. 1. You can see the coffee being prepared and smell its aroma upon entering the store. The barista is an expert at coffee making, always remembers my order and gives me a wave on my way back from yoga. The aura of the place has a pleasant and soothing casual feel about it. Make it a destination!
Rating: 4 / 5
Solid hipster cafe that was very welcome to an Australian in need of acceptable coffee in Twickenham. Had a well-above average oat flat white made by a young hipster barista. Felt like home. Slight edit - 2 out of 3 times I came this place wasn’t open when it was supposed to be.
Rating: 5 / 5
Great new coffee shop just recently opened in Twickenham. Serving the highly rated Brick Lane coffee and a selection of pastries. The owner is welcoming and engaging and the space is nicely designed with well thought out touches like the terrazzo marble counter. Excellent new addition to the local community. Highly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
The coffee and the texture of the oat milk in my flat white was flawless. I love the interior design and the beautiful cups, plus the staff are friendly and served the coffee with a smile! The location is ideal next to the river, and my dog was welcome too. The only downside is that the tables/ space are quite cramped. I wouldn't recommend sitting in - after all, less than 100m down the road are benches by the river.
Rating: 4 / 5
Really good coffee. And they do the Japanese pour-over devices here, too. When I came in they had a single origin from Rwanda as well as a blend, and both are delicious. The Rwandan seemed quite a light roast. For a cappuccino the milk was prepared more like a latte, but delicious. It's at the top end in terms of prices. The interior is quite scruffy and looks cramped and unfinished. This is a pop up shop which hasn't been here long, but it didn't look very comfortable so I took it out and sat by the river. They do have food options but, as the owner said, they don't sell much food. Also, bagged coffee is available and can be ground on request. Recently they seem to open when they feel like it, rather than conforming to a timetable like normal retail businesses.

These guys really know what they're doing. I had the guest espresso as a flat white and it was nothing short of perfection. Very well extracted and the milk texture was spot on. Barista is super knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

Incredible specialty coffee- always made to a very high standard with a changing selection of beans, lovely relaxed and friendly service. Good tunes on the go as well. What’s not to love?! By far and away the absolute best place to grab a coffee in Twickenham and the surrounding areas.

Really appreciate a down to earth, friendly and independent shop opening. We often come in after the gym and *really* appreciate that Del lets bikes inside, as many other coffee shops don’t in the area. Aside from the vibe, every single coffee I’ve had here has been great, well pulled espresso and milk being perfect!

We recently celebrated our daughter’s 1st Birthday at Cheeky Chops and had a wonderful experience. The team on the day were so helpful, made sure everything ran smoothly and were very accommodating. All children ranging in age from 10 months to 5 years had a great time! Thank you CCPC!

We recently had my son’s 3rd birthday party here and it was lovely. The kids all had a blast and the staff made sure the whole event ran smoothly and on time. The staff also handled food allergies well. Would definitely recommend!

I recently celebrated my son’s first birthday at Cheeky Chops, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The soft play area is spacious, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept the little ones entertained. The layout is thoughtfully designed, allowing children to explore and play freely while parents can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee, some cake, and even some prosecco or wine! The staff at Cheeky Chops were absolutely fantastic! They went above and beyond to ensure our party ran smoothly, offering helpful suggestions and attentive service throughout the event. Overall, I highly recommend Cheeky Chops for any family event or just a fun day out. During my maternity leave, I used to visit at least 2-3 times a week, and it was always a highlight! It’s a wonderful place for kids to play and for parents to unwind. We’ll definitely be back soon!
Rating: 5 / 5
Fantastic set up with two play areas and excellent coffee. The owner, Mike, was phenomenal. I’ve never seen a friendlier host, making the children feel welcome, checking in on everyone, even chatting away in Spanish to one parent - it was a masterclass. There’s an efficient storage area for buggies, healthy snacks which are still enticing for kids, and delightful children’s books which are written by the owner. This place is an exceptional find!
Rating: 5 / 5
I take my LO to cheeky chops 3-4 times a week. He is 8 months and absolutely loves it! I have been taking him since he was little and now we feel part of the furniture. Once baby is 7 months old you have to pay, so we opted for the 3 month membership (because we are there so often) and it’s definitely money well spent! Amazing staff, coffees and cakes. I now invite all my other friends with babies and it’s always a hit! Especially over there cold and dark months, it’s been so useful! Highly recommend a visit!

Isaac’s Coffee
Lower ground, 120 St. Margarets Rd, St Margarets, Twickenham TW1 2AA, UK | Coffee Shop P: 07809 629613
Rating: 5 (238) Price Level:
Excellent coffee and super friendly staff. When we first went there to get some takeaway a younger man of 18 or 19 was running the espresso machine. He made some really good coffee and I had a nice chat with him while he made my order along with a female employee who I think was a sister or sister in law. It was just a friendly atmosphere with really well made coffee. When my wife did the coffee run the next day they remembered me and she had a good chat and also came back singing their praises. After that we made sure to pop in and get a coffee there on most days for the remainder of our trip to the UK and said goodbye before we left. We'll definitely pop in whenever we're back in St Margarets
Rating: 5 / 5
Without doubt the best coffee and pastries in the area. Where’s there’s not a shortage of coffee venues Isaac’s stands out for its quality, atmosphere and value. Warm welcoming vibe and attention to detail from bean to cup. Hamza and his team have created a real family feel, always interesting and interested in those around them without being intrusive. Perfect place to chill or grab a coffee before the train to work.

We originally just popped in for coffee. Then our teen tried the hot chocolate. The best hot chocolate ever. Now refuses to get it anywhere else. (We like the hazelnut chocolate also). The avocado on toast is absolutely delicious. This is our favorite spot for Sunday mornings (and other mornings for a takeaway). Oh and the other teen love love loves the bubble tea. Again, won’t get it anywhere else now.
Rating: 5 / 5
Hands down the best spot in town for specialty coffee! The attention to detail in every cup is incredible, and the pastries are massive and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying some quiet time. The customer service is top notch—it’s no wonder this place is loved by everyone in the area. Can’t recommend it enough!

This establishment ranks highly among my preferred dining venues. The level of customer care is exceptional, particularly thanks to the proprietor, Isaac. He possesses a commendable demeanor, demonstrating familiarity with all patrons and engaging in daily conversations, exchanges of pleasantries, and the like. Such kindness is truly unparalleled. The ambiance, the assortment of freshly baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, not to mention the pistachio ice latte and cinnamon roll, all contribute to a delightful experience. I extend my sincere gratitude to Isaac for his gracious hospitality.❤️

Really lovely specialty coffee shop tucked away towards the end of Twickenham High Street. Friendly staff, high quality roasts and great toasties. They have alternative milk options as well as vegan friendly toasties and occasionally gluten free food too. The chocolate banana loaf is one of my favourites from their pastry selection. I'd recommend their iced mochas here, especially in the hot summer weather! The café atmosphere is perfect for those wishing to pop in for a quick coffee and sit down, or bring a laptop to work a little! ☕✨
