The service was smiling and efficient. We had onion soup, skate wing (generous) and steak. All were delicious. A pleasant atmosphere. Tables not too cramped and surprisingly well patronised for a Monday night, so probably best to book.
Had a really lovely meal at Table Du Marché in Finchley. Wife had Honey roast beetroot with Roquefort cheese, walnuts and cauliflower to start while I enjoyed scallops, pancetta for starters then she had seabass and I tucked into duck breast. Finally we had a lovely apple sablé with salted caramel ice cream. Truly a gorgeous meal and served by nice friendly staff. Restaurant decor was pleasant and fairly quiet but it is a Sunday. Everything was extremely tasty and nothing was left behind. Deffo a great find and highly recommended
Came here to help celebrate my mother’s birthday. We had a delicious lunch with all the family. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and the service was excellent too. Thanks for a lovely time. We will be returning again soon.
Dined at Table Du Marche as we were in the area. It was lunch, so the Prix Fix menu was offered so we ordered: Gravalax, avocado, pickled fennel, rocket, sour cream. Steamed mussels with garlic, shallots, parsley, white wine & cream Pan-fried calfs liver, caramelised onion & red wine jus, chive mashed potato Portions are big compared to other French restaurants and I found their food to be on the buttery and heavy side especially for the creamy mussel sauce and the mashed potatoes. Other than that, it was all good except the gravalax contained the grey part from the cut and some of the calf's liver was near the arteries which made it chewy.
Had such a lovely experience here at this small bistro in East Finchley - extremely friendly and attentive staff. Lovely setting. The fixed price menu (£22 for 2 courses/£25 for 3) provided excellent choice. Good range of wines by the glass, 500ml carafe or bottle - reasonably priced. I would really recommend it but you would definitely need to book. Very busy but didn't feel the need to rush which was great. So good I forgot to take photos of the food!!! 😄
