It was a nice place with really good food and fast service. It also had a lot of food and drink options to pick from and I found the aesthetic very soothing and comforting and all of this was for a very fair price. I would love to recommend and revisit this place!!

Rating: 4.9 (108) Price Level:
Probably THE best coffee I have had in a long time and I know my coffee. The husband and wife hospitality with a natural welcoming customer service was so nice to experience I'm looking forward to going back to Brixton market just for a coffee and a slice of homemade cake.
Rating: 5 / 5
We stopped by for a cup of coffee and it was one of our favourite cuppas we've ever had! Ethiopian coffee served by a very kind man, alongside two glasses of water - proper way to serve coffee in very cute espresso cups too. The espresso itself was perfect - nice strong taste from beans that had been roasted to perfection. The atmosphere and interior are also very warm and homely. There were some interesting food options too but we had no space in our stomachs for anything besides coffee. Next time :) 5/5 would recommend

Incredible coffee and lovely place & service. We felt very welcomed, the homemade cake and cookies were delicious and it was comfortable and pleasant to have our afternoon stop there. As vegetarians I feel that we have to come back to try the food too! We had Ethiopian coffee, without milk of course... Wow!

Lovely coffee â shop in Market row, Brixton. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. My partner had coffee that is from Ethiopia. I had tea. The atmosphere inside and outside the coffee shop is amazing! The music fits in well with the decor and matches the personality of the owner. Definitely a must visit even if it's just the take in the smell of the incense frankese that he burns in and outside the shop.

This brand new cafè has just opened locally to me and itâs INCREDIBLE! Theyâre super quick in service but not only that they hold space for you for a quick coffee or a sit down vibe. Genuinely one of the best coffee Iâve ever tasted!! They have wrap and the best one is called âThe Dogâ with all its trimming and extras! Really hospital and anyone who is in the area must visit! Thank you for Farah and Pedro for making my day & doing customer service right đĽ°

Deserves its 5 star rating for the great coffee quality and excellent bread offer
Rating: 4 / 5
Coffee is always superb, definitely the best and my favourite in Brixton. Unfortuantely the same canât be said for the stale croissants, perhaps just a one off but just be wary.
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing coffee and sandwiches! The pastries could be better considering the quality of the rest â¤ď¸

Great coffee and selection of bread - the sourdough loaf is next level. There is a small seating area but we also take away whilst on our dog walk.

Cafe Tana

Rating: 4.8 (282) Price Level:
Love this cafe. Had a very good coffee and a delicious BLT sandwich all for very cheap price. Was made quickly and fresh. Service was super friendly. Menu had lots on it. Very decent cafe. Outside was clean and nice seating. Definitely head here for a breakfast or cafe, rather than the posh gentrified hipster cafe in Brixton.

Love this place. Delicious freshly made falafel prepared by a wonderful staff. Top it off with very reasonable prices - what more could a boy want?
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely very chilled and relaxed place with super friendly staff and a very affordable menu. Super nice place to spend a while and have breakfast during the weekend. Tana is super lovely and the items on the menu are excellent value for money. The smoothies and juices are đđť and Tana's coffee is my favourite

I've been here few times already and every time food is so fresh and tasty! Fantastic! Juice also absolutely fresh. Healthy pure food. And very friendly staff

Gorgeous little spot. Amazing service, food was delicious. The roast chicken salad was dressed to the nines if a flavour could dress that well. Really good value for money and I loved that this was a cute family run business that looked after and interacted with everyone in such a caring way. 10/10 recommend

Rating: 4.8 (150) Price Level:
Great coffee, matcha, and delicious ice creams. Interesting flavors of ice cream and definitely some of the best Iâve had in London. Lovely stop before a little walk through Brockwell park.
Rating: 5 / 5
Calm and stylish coffee shop. Just stopped by for an ice cream today and the selection looked superb. The scoops I had - including a very seasonal hot cross bun and a birthday cake special - were delicious. Good prices and a cute spot outside to sit in the sunshine.
Rating: 5 / 5
2 days have passed and Iâm STILL thinking about this delicious pear ice-cream. It was refreshingly yummy and I highly recommend! Also, many thanks to the friendly waitress who was NOT stingy with the scoops. đ
Rating: 5 / 5
Very nice relaxing location with friendly customers and customer service, I ordered a peppermint tea but was surprised by the selection of different types of coffee, chocolate, teas and herbal teas. The cookie, cake and ice cream selections were out of this world, found it very difficult to choose so I left it to Gavin who did an excellent job of finding a mixture of ice creams i would enjoy.. WOW WOW WOW!! I will be back and I highly recommend everyone try Koala's out, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Gavin and team for the beautiful experience..
Rating: 5 / 5
After hearing other reviewers praise the hot chocolate, I decided to visit this caffe. My expectations were already high, but the hot chocolate exceeded them. Itâs the best hot chocolate Iâve ever had. Ginger cake was also tasty. Additionally, the female staff was incredibly kind, with warm smiles that added to the experience. If possible, Iâd rate it 10.

Otter Chaos
Arch 22 Atlantic Rd, London SW9 8HX, UK | N/A P: 07830 251910
Rating: 5 (380) Price Level:
We visited this board game cafe and had an amazing experience! Our host, Seamus , was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service with both the food and drinks. He even let us stay past closing time to finish our game, which was so appreciated. The atmosphere was lovely, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and welcoming spot to play games. Canât wait to return!
Rating: 5 / 5
So as others have said, this is a fantastic new addition to the mix and match of places to visit in Brixton. The sheer amount of game choice is unrivalled AND we picked something we hadnât played before and the wonderful person who was serving came across and offered to explain it whilst taking our food / drink order. The only tiny downside weâd report is that the loaded chips were a bit underwhelming. Whilst thereâs a wide range of flavouring, it was just a bit dumped into the chips. Plus, with no salt, mayo or ketchup the chips were a bit dry and unflavoured. The pizzas were fab đ Weâll definitely be back!
Rating: 5 / 5
Despite living on the other end of the Victoria line, we love coming to OtterChaos! There are so many different games to play, the food is great and portions are super generous, but most importantly their amaretto sours are DELICIOUS! The owners are so nice and friendly, and would be the first to recommend you some games if youâre not sure on what to play! If youâre into board games, drinks and pizzas, Iâd definitely recommend this place! :)
Rating: 5 / 5
Excellent board game cafe, intimate, quiet and friendly vibe, great food, incredible selection of board and card games, family friendly and the owner Seamus is an absolute babe!!! We WILL be coming back very soon. Thank you for making my friend's bday so special!! PS we loved the hot chocolate. Suzy xx
Rating: 5 / 5
Happened upon this lovely place by chance with a friend - and cannot wait to revisit! Incredibly friendly Seamus and his lovely colleague kindly greeted us and gave the best warm service you could want at a games cafe. They had time for everyone. Having stayed for 2 hours with a drink each, loaded fries (which were great!) and 3 games - which were all kindly explained to us - we ended up not breaking the bank whatsoever with the bill! Thanks for such a lovely time! An absolute gem of London :)

Iâve been coming to this cafe for about 3 months now this food is great! Especially the chicken wrap. My Morrocan friend has been here too and said itâs one of the best spots for good home cooked flavour.
Rating: 5 / 5
The best Full English breakfast in the area! This is a Halal cafe and my generous breakfast was made up of; 2 fried eggs, Turkey bacon slices, chicken sausages, hash browns, beans, mushrooms, tomato and toast. Cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Delicious, fresh coffee. The people here are always friendly and welcoming. They also have a loyalty card: buy 9 cups then 10th free. đ¤â¤ď¸

Cute cafe serving a delicious fresh orange juice. It was so good I ordered two! Lala stays open a little later than most coffee in the area, which makes it a good place to catch up on emails. The bathroom was super clean.

Beans & Beats
179 Ferndale Rd, London SW9 8BA, UK | Coffee Shop P: Not available
Rating: 5 (77) Price Level:
As a non-coffee drinker, I tagged along with my wife. Not having a clue what to order, I followed the suggestion of the owner and had a flat white with oat milk. Had a little chat with nice music in the background. Beans & Beats, he knows what he is doing! Perfect way to start my Sunday morning!
Rating: 5 / 5
Such a hidden gem in Brixton! Really cute independent coffee place with so much character, and hands down best latte I've had in London!
Rating: 5 / 5
The best coffee and matcha shop in Brixton! Winston is excellent and knows his thing about coffee and authentic matcha. He even makes his syrup, which is to die for. Please open a branch in East London
Rating: 5 / 5
We are so lucky to have this lovely place in Brixton - such a community vibe and I've loved my hot drinks there (the chai and dirty chai lattes are soo good). Winston is an absolute gem and his joy is infectious. I've even found myself chatting to other customers on my visits, which is a real breath of fresh air in London. Special mentions for the fun word of the week and the top tunes too. The world could use more of this â¤ď¸
Rating: 5 / 5
What an incredible place. Winston has established a business in the heart of Brixton that doesnât only serve some of the best coffee in London, itâs also the most welcoming. We can always count on the staff to brighten up our busy days and Iâm certain this gem of a venue will continue to flourish through the incredible food, drink and service that Winston has cultivated.

Door - Coffee Bar
244 Ferndale Rd, London SW9 8FR, UK | Cafe P: 020 3876 0876
Rating: 4.9 (29) Price Level:
One of my favourite coffee shops. One of my favourite London suburbs, Brixton. Door Coffee serve the coffee brand Volcano, and coffee is in the blood of each and every member of the Door team, from owners to Baristas. The nicest people, this place has a free, yes free, coffee day every quarter, as well as coffee and team making masterclasses on regular occasions. For the love of coffee, get over there!
Rating: 5 / 5
Quiet and cozy space located just off the main road in Brixton. Perfect for working. The baristas were professional, and the flat white was decent.
Rating: 5 / 5
Remarkable new coffee spot in central Brixton run by the masterminds behind Assembly and Volcano roasters. Door is a very approachable specialty coffee shop that welcomes both commuters and full fledged coffee hobbyists, allowing all patrons to dip their toes in as far as theyâd like to the the specialty coffee experience. Love the seating at the bar and the fairly priced retail section. A neighbourhood gem.
Rating: 5 / 5
Behind an unassuming door is a wonderful coffee shop. One of the best coffees I have had. ÂŁ3.50 oat milk flat white which is good value compared to High Street prices and you get a far better coffee
Rating: 5 / 5
If you think you've had the best coffee of your life, go to Door. In a 'new-chique' part of Brixton (near Canova Hall and some other recently formed bars) Door appeared, immediately establishing itself as one the best coffee shops in London for three reasons: the selection of beans, the choice of filters and most of all incredible quality coffee. The service is excellent too. If you are sad about losing Federation and enjoy going up the hill to Stir, the coffee here will make your day, or week, or year.
