My mother hadn’t been to a hairdresser for a while, as she was living abroad. She used to have dark blonde/honeycomb highlights but we couldn’t find a decent salon where we were, so used box dyes instead. Just this Tuesday we’ve come back and gone to Toni & Guy Sevenoaks, who said because of her hair from the box dyes, they would have to do strand tests, bleach it, come in for 6 months of treatments to be blonde again at £150 a pop, that her hair would look worse before it looks better and then tried to upsell lots of expensive, unnecessary treatments. She left feeling very despondent and anxious about her hair. We walked along the street, only a few stores away and found this wonderful salon, where my mother had an instant consultation with Matilda. My mother came into the salon today to have her full head highlights, a cut and blow dry and her hair is reset back. No problems at all and my mother could’ve even went blonder, but she was very happy with the tones. A fantastic service from Matilda and her husband, meticulous attention to detail and very friendly. T&G really had my mother thinking her hair was beyond help and nothing could be done about. If anyone wants a great colour, cut, blow dry with no fuss at all - see Matilda!
