I love this salon. I've had my eyebrows done by Emma and I love looking in the mirror to see them!!!!! She's done exactly what I wanted. I'm very proud of my eyebrows😇. I'll definitely want to visit Emma at Søsta again.

Have been going here for years now by Sinead but I have had my hair bleached, toned and cut by most of the girls at some point. They are all experts and I would not trust my hair with anyone else. The environment is lovely and everyone is kind, helpful and genuine. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a salon with expertise in looking after your hair!

I had my first visit to Sosta last week for my Brazilian blowout and trim. Really lovely salon, welcoming and chatty staff and I've just had my first hair wash since having my blowout done and I'm super happy with the result - it's taken so much of my usual frizz out, tamed my waviness and it's super soft and shiny! Will defo be returning for my future treatments x

Sarah does my hair (and has done for about 2 years now) and all her girls are Professional, caring and welcoming, relaxing atmosphere and I come out feeling like a new me no matter what treatment I have had!! Leah was fantastic. It was my first time in the salon and I was a bit nervous explaining what I wanted to someone new following a bad experience in the past. Leah asked me what I was looking for and walked me through all of the steps she was going to take, checking in with me along the way. My experience was lovely and I was very happy with the end result. I will be booking in again in the future with Leah and I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you have any anxiety around visiting a salon!

Sooooo very happy with my hair for the first time I have been to a hairdresser, and I am 60yrs now, took a while!! Jo listened to all my hair woes. She checked my previous layers and dry ends. She was careful to make some suggestions but wanted to wait until it was washed. She was able to adjust the cut to a similar style but included solutions to heaviness problems and somehow my parting had moved, which she was able to sort. Its lovely now, Thanks Jo .🥰

Had my first appointment with Shelly today for a set of BIBA gel nails, she was lovely and made me feel relaxed immediately she has a great choice of nail colours including glitter ones. The beauty room atmosphere is very relaxing and the room is very clean. I came home and immediately booked again to have my nails and lashes done.

Highly recommend Shelley - she is so lovely, very friendly and immediately puts you at ease. Very professional service in pristine, comfortable home salon. Shelley has an eye for detail and took care to check we were both happy with results. After care advice given and helpful recommendations for other products I may find beneficial (and have since purchased and been very impressed with) with no agenda/pressure. This was my first lash lift/tint and I love the results. What a great find to discover such a brilliant independent salon practically on my doorstep! I visited Shelley for the first time this week following a friend buying me a gift voucher for my 40th birthday. I booked in for a fine line tattoo and went the day before for a consultation and patch test. Shelley was incredibly thorough, professional and friendly. I felt immediately at ease. When it came to the tattoo, she went through different options with me and I did not feel rushed at all. The tattoo was using my sister’s drawings and my Mum’s handwriting which Shelley did so carefully. My Mum said “it looks just like my handwriting!” I’m so happy with the finished result. Thank you x

My fiancé got her nails done today from the wonderful Shelley, ready for our wedding day on Sunday. Friendly service and made her feel very comfortable and welcome. Would definitely recommend and also she has plenty of other services she offers.

Claire is brilliant and I have been going to her for years. She is the best by far for nails plus lashes and brows . Don’t tell everyone I won’t be able to get an appointment! Everything is spotless. Fantastic service.

Claire is great at what she does. Always a lovely warm welcome and prices are good. I always have shellac put on my nails and unlike other places Claire doesn't ruin my nails by grinding the gel off. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Canterbury Nails & Beauty for a few years for shellac, acrylics and waxing. Claire is so talented and she does the nicest nail art. I’ve tried other places in Canterbury and no other places do gel nails that last so long. I’d never go elsewhere. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went to The Chair 2 weeks ago and left not entirely happy, as I found many split ends after the appointment. When I left an in-depth review (3 stars) they contacted me asking if I was available for another appointment for a free cut & blow dry to fix the problem. Today I came back for my appointment and they were lovely. They really cleared up any miscommunication between me, the client, and my Hairdresser, Amber, and Amber did a beautiful job. Katie, the owner, also came and talked to me to make sure everything went well and I left with no visible split ends and a gorgeous hairstyle. Thank you so much for your great customer service The Chair!!

Thank you, Thank you to my amazing hairdressers…..they have worked so hard to get my hair to the ‘right’ blonde for me. I am really fussy and find it hard to get the right colour but they are truly fantastic at what they do! I can’t thank you enough….I LOVE IT!!!

The owner really obviously cares a lot about her business and staff and this wholly translated through this phone call - she's a really lovely lady who wanted to make things right, so I've added a well deserved star. I wholeheartedly appreciate the compensation provided to me, thanks so much for listening to my genuine review. I did want to reiterate that everyone I have had contact with at the Chair have been so lovely, my hair stylist included, and it seems I just had a rare bad experience, via miscommunication or other. Thanks to everyone at the Chair for genuinely caring and making things right. Original Review: Unfortunately I won't be coming back. My stylist was a really really lovely person and did a fabulous job on my bangs but I asked for 2 inches max off my length and at least 3-4 have been cut off my long hair. 2 inches was all I wanted at a maximum because I have very long hair and struggle to feel myself without it but wanted a refresh. I also asked for small beach waves for styling and got a princess curly hairdo instead- not me and not what I asked for at all, and I had photos in tow as an example of what I wanted and just wasn't what I got. I ended up going home and restyling it myself. The cut itself is nice (barring the extra length cut off which I'm not happy about) but for £78 I can't fathom that what I got is what I paid for. A pity, as I came here after having a few bad experiences too.

Went to The Chair today for the first time. My daughter has a very sensitive scalp and is always in a lot of pain when going to the hairdresser. I can’t remember her name, but was a young brunette young lady, my daughter’s word is the best experience she has ever had at a hairdressers. Customer service is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ she was so sweet, nice and gentle with my daughter’s scalp and she smiled all the way home because she was so happy with her hair cut n dry. Freyja, what a fabulous woman she is with nails. I went in there wanting a light blue this time but didn’t know what shade, she gave me all the colours she had and fell in love with a different shade of blue. We had such lovely conversations whilst she did my nails and they were gorgeous. Thank you for my nails, totally recommend!!

Booked a last minute deal for a wash, cut and style with Thea. Thea did a pre-cut consultation to ensure she knew exactly how I wanted my hair to look. The cut was perfect and looked amazing one my hair was styled. The products used were fabulous. My hair felt and smelled incredible, so much so that it still smelled wonderful 2 days later. I called the salon and asked to purchase the shampoo, conditioner and oil and Thea popped a complimentary mousse product in the bag for me. Honestly, this is the best salon in Canterbury. I return time and time again and have never been disappointed.

Used Stone Hairdressers for the first time today (well my partner did) I had booked for my partner to get her hair done as a birthday gift. From the moment we stepped through the door the girls were extremely welcoming! It's a beautiful salon, well kept and clean. Each staff member in there was very approachable and attentive to everyones needs. Finally - the finish look my partner had done was absolutely GORGEOUS. A huge thank you and shout-out to Chelsie. I was booked in for my birthday, straight from the get go, the ladies at front of desk were welcoming and attentive, checking your needs before you sat down. My stylist was Chelsie, she did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable and eased any anxieties I had about being in the hairdressers. She talked me through her processes and the reason she worked the way she did. Chelsie was super fun and bubbly! She also did not gate-keep her secrets to luscious hair! Very friendly and professional. It’s taken me a few attempts to find a good salon in Canterbury and now I’ve managed it. I think I had Jess and she was lovely and so professional. I love my hair thank you! I usually don’t book at the end of a cut but this time I have as I know I’ll be returning.

I highly recommend Oliveira. I have finally found my hairdressers and Venia is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced hairdresser. My hair is more complicated, so you need to know your stuff with thick/curly hair! Venia was very attentive to what I wanted to do with my hair and patiently gave advice on what would suit my hair the best. I started with dry and lifeless looking curls and color and finished with beautiful bouncy curls and a stunning glow to my hair, and I always get compliments. The salon itself is very welcoming and fun, and I always come out feeling taken care of.

Cannot recommend this salon highly enough! Excellent stylists who listen to what you want and recommend suitable products for your hair. Was over the moon with the cut and colour I was given by Eudu… since using the products recommended by him, my hair is in so much better condition! Very warm and friendly welcome … and delicious coffee! 😊

Asked for Jean Seberg circa 1960 / Winona Ryder circa 1994 hair and got a pixie cut completely tailored to me. Good coffee and conversation made it a very enjoyable afternoon! I've received many compliments and it's only been a few hours since I left the salon, thank you :)

I haven’t been to a professional hairdresser in years so I was very nervous but the hairdresser was so nice and so accommodating!
