As soon as we decided we were going to have a 1940’s style wedding I knew the only place that could deliver the vintage hair and makeup I was looking for was Lipstick and Curls. Kate came out and did a makeup and hair trial for me, and we sat for ages trying different styles and colours, she was very patient. On the day, everything went smoothly, my make up didn’t budge, and my bridesmaids hair stayed in for 2 days!

Had a great experience with Lipstick and Curls. Had a bridal makeup trial and the person didn't really listen to me, so wasn't happy with it and chose to find someone else. Came across Lipstick & Curls and they were great. Good price, the makeup trial was done at my house so was super convenient. Good communication too. Emma the stylist was really nice. I have 0 idea about makeup, but she was very patient and helped understand my vague explanations and turned it into what I wanted. She also came prepared on the day with what we discussed, and was really open/fine about small changes that I wanted to make. Small improvements I would recommend, when you book you don't get to choose the stylist, it's allocated based off availability. I had to specifically request photos from that particular stylist once it was allocated to make sure I was happy. I would recommend having a place on the website that showcases the different stylist's work. Also, the photos were not amazing, they look more like photos from the wedding albums, and some were black and white which were really not that helpful! However, my experience overall was great so it's still 5* from me!

Lipstick & Curls come highly recommended- they came to do my makeup, hair, and my maids of honour/bridesmaids on the day of my wedding, arrived promptly, and were total pros the whole morning: calm and friendly. It really made the day extra special and the looks were fabulous. They came out for a trial beforehand to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and we were able to discuss things like exact lip colour and adjustments to the looks to get them as we wanted. I can't say enough about Lipstick and Curls. They were absolutely amazing in transforming me for my wedding day. Despite booking them at the last minute, they accommodated my needs with such grace and professionalism. Amanda was my make-up artist on the day. She was really patient and friendly. The bridal makeup was flawless. It held up perfectly throughout the day, even under the hot summer sun. The colours complemented my dress and skin tone. As for the hair, it was equally stunning. The curls were bouncy and full, and they stayed in place all day. Her attention to detail and expertise made me feel confident and beautiful on my special day. I highly recommend them to any bride-to-be looking for a talented and reliable team.

I am so glad that I chose Lipstick and Curls for my wedding day. They were super responsive to any enquires and understanding when I had to change my wedding date last minute. Our stylist, Kate, was friendly and so so talented... I really felt amazing all day! I can't recommend Lipstick and Curls enough.
