Working in the area staying in the hotel next door. Liam has looked after us really well. Made us feel welcome. No complaints at all. Top guy and a really nice pub. Will definitely return
The Red Kite is beautiful inside, very warming, and there are plenty of places to sit. There were 2 reasons why we only gave a 4 star, which were Service Speed and Price. Service was a little slow, and we did end up waiting for a good 20 minutes before we got any orders in and over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. We went on a Sunday (See Sunday Menu Picture) The prices are quite expensive in comparison to others around the area, you can make your own judgement. The food, though, was cracking! (See pictures) I ordered the Signature Burger with halloumi as extra. It was juicy, succulent, and mouth-watering. The plate of Sunday dinner was from the kids' menu, with a great portion size. The other meal pictured was pie of the day (ham and cheese pie) All the food was decent. You do get what you pay for here, but you will need to dig deep in your pockets. I would recommend coming here for special occasions. *Top tip* If you download the Vintage Inns app, you can get £20 off your first meal.
Andria served us, how lovely and professional she was. Made our breakfast extra special. Fires roaring. Food was good, will never give 5stars unless its outstanding, that's my opnion, and it has to reflect in price. Service makes the visit worthwhile. Well done and thank you!!!!
Fantastic time at The Red Kite today. We took our 9 year old Labrador with us and the staff were so friendly and welcoming not just of us but of our dog also. They have a dog friendly area near the bar with an open fire, water bowls and blankets and a doggy menu. The food was amazing and didn't take very long to come. Great pub especially if you are looking for somewhere to come for a meal with your dog. We will be back again soon! :)
