We've been there a number of times in the past and chose to go today (Boxing Day) with the whole family to have a lovely meal and save ourselves the trouble of cooking and having to clean up. We weren't disappointed, great service and fantastic food. Will defiantly be going back again

I recently dined at Nags Head and was thoroughly impressed by the wonderful service and delicious steak. From the moment we walked in, the staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, flavorful, and simply melted in the mouth. The accompanying sides were equally delightful, complementing the main dish beautifully. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly stood out. However, the calamari was a bit of a letdown, as it was overly cornstarchy, which detracted from its overall flavor and texture. This was a minor hiccup in an otherwise excellent meal. Overall, Nags Head exceeded my expectations with its top-notch service and outstanding cuisine. We broke down on the M62 and AA took 8 hours to reach us so this pub was a saviour for us. They welcomed us in, provided a complementary cup of tea and kept us warm, dry and satisfied. The staff were incredibly understanding and kind and the food was lovely. Placed to charge our phones, nice music and warming fires. This place completely saved our sanity and I don’t know how we would have managed without! Many thanks to all of the staff.

Ordered a 3 course meal, after waiting 20 mins between main and dessert, asked the waitress.....it gets put 'on hold' till you actually ask for it.....not a problem if you are au fait with this rule.

TLDR: Lovely, dog-friendly and homely place to drink and eat from an ever-popular Vintage Inn brand. Great food and drink and a lovely atmosphere. Away from the main roads, but next to the motorway (so you can hear the hum of that when outside) is this lovely pub! Step in and you feel like you’re in a modern Yorkshire pub. There’s decent ales, cocktails and wines on offer, lots of choice. Theres bar snacks aplenty and then there’s the main food. The layout is comprised of three main areas: Bar with ample seating, casual dining Mid restaurant near an open fire (closer to the bar, more casual) Main restaurant in the converted barn (slightly more formal, but still casual) The food is superb, especially for the price. Expect around £20-£30 a head with a simple drink (don’t be saying I didn’t get the average right when you’re buying a £10 cocktail too 😂) The Arancini is a lovely starter full of flavour, and so is the garlic button mushroom dish. The penang curry with chicken or whatever you like actually is flavoursome, fruity, and floral with the jasmine rice. Steaks are always cracking quality for the price, as is gammon and fish and chips. For desert, we’ve had brownie, crumbles, ice creams…all of them actually. The flower pot is fun and novel and very tasty too! Don’t forget to get the app and collect rewards; they are good (like £10 off food after two visits!) Hopefully you found this helpful!
