The care and compassion that James, Kat, Sophie D, Sophie, JB, Hollie F, Sam, Freya, Louise, Sarah, Leigh and everyone else working within this practice is beyond anything I have ever experienced. (Those named are the people I dealt wirh personally).
My cat Missy was a patient there for 2 years, starting with a full dental due to having calici virus, then her regular check ups and then her final months with Kidney Disease. Everyone rallied round to try and find solutions, treatments, anything to help. We were often at the practice twice a week. Unfortunately Missy became anaemic and there was no cure so we had to say goodbye to her in September last year. The staff were clearly upset too.
During the 2 years that we were there, communication was always faultless whether it was a WhatsApp message, email or telephone call.
There's nothing that I can fault and we will be back visiting soon with Princess Leia, our recent rescue.
I really cannot recommend James Horner practice enough.

We recently changed our vets to James Horner for our young cavapoo Blue. It was a big decision for us to make but we needed help. What a wonderful vets they are, all the team from front of house reception, nursing staff and vets were lovely. It was a real breath of fresh air. Holly, the vet that looked after us and Blue was exceptional, kind, caring,compassionate and professional at the same time. She put us at our ease and listened to our concerns and made a real effort to get to know Blue. A real independent vets with the personal touch that is so important. We highly recommend James and his team. It is the small touches and details too that set this veterinarian practice apart.

Thank you so much to Kat and the rest of the JH team for the compassion and patience shown to us as a family this week when we sadly had to put our dog to sleep. He was handled with such care in his final moments by Kat, and throughout the past 6 months by the whole team since we registered him with this practice. You all have made a truly horrible experience so much more bearable, we can’t thank you enough!

We cannot thank James Horner Vets enough for the incredible care and compassion they have shown towards our beloved dog. From the very first visit, it was clear that the team cared for his wellbeing, showing patience and understanding for his anxiety. Their sensitivity and professionalism ensured that his passing was as peaceful and dignified as possible.

James Horner Vets is a truly exceptional practice, and we are forever grateful for everything they have done for our dog and our family. Kat and the team are a credit to their profession, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, expert care for their pets.

Having had a cat that has had problems for several years now and not been sorted out, I changed vets to here and have had such good care for my girlie with diagnostic tests explored and explained fully by the lovely committed vet Megan who spent time and effort trying to solve the issues my cat has and not just prescribing medications to mask the real cause for her discomfort and distress at times.
I’m very happy and my cat is more relaxed here than she has ever been at a vets surgery before. She isn’t meowing on the way there in protest anymore and coming back hungry and happy after a consultation.

An update is my cat has had further tests including a scan on her abdomen and X-rays which sadly have revealed a problem with her liver which unfortunately cannot be cured.
I and my beautiful girlie have had support and compassion from the team including James.
Very sad but thankful for a local vet that opens Saturday morning too as I had to go in for emergency medication.
Would definitely recommend them.
