Having bought a 100 year old house that had it’s original leaky roof, we asked Surrey Roofs to retile the entire house and renew the liquid rubber roof on a flat area of the kitchen. The team fitted new batons to the roof where needed, repointed chimneys and brickwork, and completed the work on time and on budget. The guys were doing such a good job that we asked for their advice on other areas of the house, and added in installation of a replacement velux window, three sun tunnel skylights in the roof, and three roof lanterns in the kitchen. Again all were done within agreed timeframes and budget, and the work carried out was to an extremely high standard. Finally we agreed some painting of the property, including the fascia and soffits, and the roof lanterns in the kitchen. A huge shout out to Pete who’s a whizz with a paint brush. As you can see we added a number of items to the original spec, that’s because Surrey Roofs really know what they’re doing, are excellent communicators, and are a great group of guys to have around. Szymek and Adam were an absolute pleasure, a special mention for Connor who went above and beyond regularly. Martin and Jack have built a fantastic family business, and we won’t hesitate to use them again.

The work done was very much needed, and included spray foam removal. The foam hid some problems, which was anticipated, but the extent of them was unknown, hidden by the foam. The team handled problems upon discovery in a very transparent manner, providing photos and excellent explanations of the issue and plans to fix them. All this was done while honouring the price quoted, which was fair and slightly reduced to maintain competitiveness with the prior mentioned quotes received. The guys put on a new roof (on our 3 bed detached house) along with all new soffits, facias and guttering. The service and workmanship was first class from start to finish. Ryan did a fantastic job tilling the roof on a new build project I’ve been doing. Fairly large with lots of detail, he fitted 8 Velux windows and a Velux Cabrio balcony window. We have used McCarthy Roofing for a number of jobs. One job was patching up our roof in various areas and installing a new flat roof. The job was done on time, on budget and with no disruption to the business. Jamie has also attended an emergency call to fix a leak we had during a storm, Jamie fixed the problem immediately and with no fuss. Excellent all round service - quick to respond to emails when asked to quote, provided a sensible quote, work completed to a good standard and on-time. When asked them to quote for a few pieces of work it they said our flat roofs had another 5 years of life left in them so didn’t need doing. Nice guys too! Would definitely recommend.

Needed to repair leaking roof on lean-to outhouse which also required a wall to be rebuilt due to frost damage on brickwork and a need to widen external door for wheelchair access with new lintel tied into house wall. Most other roofers we're comfortable with the extent of brickwork required whereas general builders wanted to knock it all down and start again at considerable cost. Paul could see the roof structure was sound and also offers bricklaying services so provided the ideal mix of skills at a good price. All completed in quick order with new Firestone rubber covering on new OSB using existing timber frame tied into rebuilt and considerably more solid wall with Paul spending time to find the same brick of the original 1950's structure. Very happy with result. So impressed have asked Paul to do some other works (Patio). Very much recommend.

The world of Zinc roofs can be a daunting prospect for anyone new to it like I was. So if you are considering a zinc roof I would just like to say - "do it" they are the best for the weather conditions in the UK - no more moss ridden tiles and they look the absolute business. The second worry I had at the outset was "installing a zinc roof is a specialist skill so i don't want to go with the wrong company" - Salmon Solutions were utterly superb from the communication and engagement throughout my job to the quality of the workmanship. Salmon Solutions are also an accredited installer for my chosen VMZinc roofing system. My new zinc roof looks stunning and it makes me happy every time I look at it. Over the years I have used numerous contractors for large and small works and its not often that one comes across a company that one trusts. But Salmon Solutions is.
