My daughter has been doing Maths and English at the Shirley Kumon center. Kumon lays a strong foundation for the basics of Math and English. I can see how much she has improved in her mental Maths and in English expanding her vocabulary. It has massively enhanced my daughter’s academic ability, confidence, and joy to learn. She has excelled beyond her age group in her school. All the credit goes to the instructor Dr. Ivy Man and Alistair, both are supportive, approachable, and very responsive with students and understand their weakness and work on to improve in those areas. Both are very dedicated and hardworking. I have had weekly feedbacks following her class and progress reports once she completes each level. I would highly recommend Church Street Kumon center to anyone that looking to supplement their child's learning with additional Maths and English.

My son has been doing Maths at the Shirley Kumon centre for for about a year and a half. He feels his mental maths has got stronger and he is certainly ahead of his class. Kumon lays a strong foundation for the basics which are needed at every step. My son feels confident in calculations and Kumon has assessed him as 2 years ahead of the level for his age group. Maths is definitely his favourite subject. We have been to different Kumon centres, but this centre is by far the best. All the credit goes to the instructor Dr. Ivy Man, who is one of the best teachers we have met. She takes a keen interest in all her students. She is very dedicated and hardworking. I have had a progress meeting with her followed by a detailed report for my son and regular e-mail updates, which I have never had in any of the other centres. My son feels that she is very patient and answers all his questions and believe me, there is never a dearth of those in his mind! I strongly recommend St James' Park Kumon centre to all my friends.

My son started Kumon in Shirley at the start of the pandemic and it is one of the best things we have ever done! His mental agility is very good and he is very confident in maths. Ivy and Alistair are brilliant, both with the students and their parents, supportive, approachable and very responsive if you ever need to contact them. Strongly recommended.

My eldest has been doing Kumon for about two years now and I've seen a massive improvement in his abilities in both Maths and English. He went from someone that was average in Maths to one of the top students in his class at the moment. The effort has certainly paid off and he's far more confident with numbers now than he ever was - often doing most if now all calculations in his head! 😮 My youngest now has also started and he's also making really good progress. I would highly recommend Kumon to anyone that thats looking supplement their child's learning with additional Maths and English. Ivy and her team are really great and have often been very accommodating from reducing/increasing work, to start times and also making sure the children have everything they need to be able to complete their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

My son has been attending Kumon for three years now and I am very pleased with the progress he has done so far. I am also very pleased because Kumon is more than a tutoring school, Kumon teaches resilience and perseverance that are keys to succeed not only in Maths or English but in any subjects, and maybe in many aspects in one's life. We are very fortunate to attend Kumon Shirley that is run by Ivy Man who is a wonderful skilled and patient teacher. I like the fact that Kumon works hand in hand with the parents and the child to reach the same goal. Finally I must admit, I love Kumon because their homework are on paper and not on computer !
