We had a great experience using Phil and his team at Oaks C&C in particular the skill of the carpenters. They were also very responsive when the inevitable snagging issues arose. On budget and within the agreed time frame despite the weather!

Phil has done a few projects for me at home but this was my first experience of working with him on a client project. He built an incredible bespoke pool house in a very tricky steep garden in Sevenoaks. The finish is just great, exactly as I hoped it would be. It was a challenging build as it is integral to the retaining walls in the garden. The finished structure has a generous lounge area, shower room and separate toilet which makes it super practical when my clients are enjoying their swimming pool. We have skylights, and charred timber cladding so although it is quite a substantial space, it does not dominate the garden and has made great use of an overgrown previously unusable area of the garden. This project was turned around Incredibly quickly despite very challenging winter weather conditions. This means my clients have had full access to the pool area for the whole of this summer. Exactly what you want from a builder. We decided to build a kitchen extension on our house as the existing kitchen was small, turquoise and not consummate with the rest of the house. We live in a conservation area and wanted something contemporary yet in keeping with the house. We had several firms around to quote and looked at architects who project manage and main contractor style builders. Brothers Phil and Darren run the firm. Phil was the one to come around and ended up managing the build. We discussed options and sketched up high-level plans together. Phil then quoted on these high-level plans, so we had a good ballpark figure to work from. Everything was broken down and very clear on the quote, and they worked to a fixed price, which took away a lot of worry. We decided to go with C&C. Phil guided us through the process and had great recommendations for an architect and drain surveyor. Communication was excellent; it felt like a genuine partnership. C&C have a great set of trades they work with regularly who take pride in their work. We have been so pleased with the process and the quality of the extension. Even though it was a fixed price, there was no scrimping on the quality of products to enhance profits. For the kitchen, Phil introduced us to an excellent fitter, and we were super pleased with the result. Everybody says having building work done is stressful, but C&C made it a relatively painless experience for us. I can’t recommend them enough—good people, trustworthy and experienced.

Oaks C&C took on a complicated project and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome, Phil is brilliant, we really enjoyed working with him. His team are lovely, from the builders, carpenters, electricians and plumbers, all were always on time, polite and kept our house immaculate through all the works. Given building works can be stressful at the best of times, we throughly enjoyed this project, done with efficiency and came in under budget!
