The room we stayed in was great, really large, tasteful decor, clean and comfortable. The bed was really large and very comfortable as were the pillows (which can be hit and miss). The bathroom was also huge but with just a shower, no bat, which was fine for us. The room was £150 a night so probably the going rate for the quality of the room plus breakfast but maybe a tiny bit overpriced for the area. When we got there the room was sweltering, possibly due to a problem with the radiator but a member of staff came and the problem had been addressed by the time we returned in the evening. They also offered us an upgrade had the problem not been fixed. Breakfast was included and was pretty good with lots of options. Although not mentioned on their website there is a huge fast charging station at the end of the road, so a definite bonus if you own an electric vehicle. Would definitely recommend the accommodation. Staff were also very friendly.

Exceptional service from every team member, from the check in, to ordering my food, they even kindly delivered my food to my room. Food was fantastic too. I will definitely be returning when I am in the area again. Thank you

I've been going to the Carpenter Arms for 40 years since it was pub The rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is excellent. This occasion was sad because it was for my mothers funeral but Henry made all of our interactions with the team there an absolute joy.

Was a beautiful setting and the hotel, restaurant was absolutely amazing. We stayed overnight after a dinner there before Christmas and it was perfect, we all ate our dinner and it was the best I had eaten in several years at a Christmas meal party. Will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend.

Celebrated a 50th birthday and stayed over. Great food, great pub, excellent staff, everyone was so helpful, lovely rooms, great coffee machine in the room, breakfast was lovely! Highly recommend the pub!
