I took my car in for an MOT and they said a rear brake caliper had seized and that it had to be replaced. They also said that the control arm bushes needed to be replaced. I then got a call back from them saying that they couldn’t get a particular bolt off and that they would need to drop the sub frame to replace the bushes. The quote was £900! I then thought I would get a second opinion and I took the car to Felix at New Kings garage as a relative had recommended him. He managed to get the infamous bolt off, replace the bushes, fix the seized caliper and do the MOT for only £250. It just goes to show that it pays to get a second opinion.
