My 1st visit as moved to the area and I needed to find a local family ran salon. Warm welcome, mother and daughter, both very lovely ladies. Can highly recommend.

Highlights and a cut with Jo who does the best curly blow dry! Shampooing with the most relaxing head massage. Always arrive feeling welcomed and leave feeling great. Thank you 🙏

I don’t think I have ever had a hairdresser hit my needs 100% until now!! Thank you so much Megan, not only did you listen you looked after me and my hair throughout, I loved how we both got in the zone me working on my laptop and cracked on with my hair. Megan was approachable and asked all the right questions on styles and practicality as well as talking me through the after care of the colour! I would highly recommend Megan especially if you are looking to be comfortable and want your colour done.

Lovely Leigh cut and styled my hair, lovely warm atmosphere, able to chat amicably so friendly felt at home, will be booking again for a trim, coffee and a chat, the whole experience made you feel your the only one there and you can feel relaxed and let them do what they do best, love it all.

This is the first time I have been to Steven James Hairdressing in Canterbury and I can safely say it’s the best experience I have ever had. I had a wet cut with Sarah- Not only am I so pleased with the cut (and the price) but Sarah was absolutely lovely and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I’ve finally found my go to hairdresser and am over the moon. Thanks a million Sarah - I’ll be back!!

Leah was fantastic. It was my first time in the salon and I was a bit nervous explaining what I wanted to someone new following a bad experience in the past. Leah asked me what I was looking for and walked me through all of the steps she was going to take, checking in with me along the way. My experience was lovely and I was very happy with the end result. I will be booking in again in the future with Leah and I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you have any anxiety around visiting a salon!

I visited this salon after seeing positive mentions of Lulu's work online, especially her skill with alternative styles. I booked in for a wolf cut but let her take the lead, prioritising a look that would minimise visible breakage. She absolutely nailed it. The final cut not only tackled my concerns but added structure and shape that suits my face perfectly. On top of her expertise, Lulu was incredibly kind and offered engaging conversation throughout the appointment, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Love this salon. Gill is a fantastic colourist and my hair always looks natural and vibrant after she colours it. Lou is a superb stylist. I love the cut she’s given me and it’s made me look 10 years younger!! You can’t put a price on that!!! Only negative is that I’m always cold in there. I go upstairs and not sure if there is heating up there.

Andy gave me a new colour to enhance the lovely short textured bob by Georgia. They are both very talented and personable; listened to my wishlist and delivered exactly what I asked for. The other staff involved in my wonderful, relaxing experience (I'm so sorry, I can't recall their names) were equally kind, thoughtful, and professional. She is such a lovely and beautiful person, both inside and out. She really understood exactly what I wanted and took her time to cut and style my hair with so much care and precision. I recently moved into the area after having the same hairdresser for 5 years I was nervous to try somewhere new. I really enjoyed the calm, clean and friendly atmosphere at Blakes and found everyone warm and welcoming. Annie did a full head of blonde highlights for me and I was really pleased with the colour. I felt really freshened up and the colour was beautifully done. I definitely recommend a visit.

Wow! Just wow! So happy, my daughter (13yo) had her hair cut this evening and the whole experience was amazing. She loves her cut and the hairdresser took time to show her how best to style it and gave lots of tips to help her maintain the brilliant cut she was given. Would highly recommend the salon.

CASSIE IS AMAZING!! After numerous bad experiences with other hairdressers I had put off getting my hair cut. But after nearly two years it did need a cut so read the reviews and booked with Cassie. Was very scared but OH MY LIFE!! I’ve actually found a hairdresser that listens, did what I asked and advised on what to do in the future. My faith is now restored. Cassie is the best! My hair was looking weird after a box dye and she took me back to a lovely chocolate brown. The girls really look after you, couldn't have asked for more! 100% recommend to anyone and everyone
