I always have the best experiences when i take my pets to this vet, and ive been going there for around 7 years. The main vet, Paul, is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind and efficient. The nurses are also lovely. I feel very grateful to have this practice as my local veterinary practice 🙏

My dog never used to like going to the vet but he pulls us in the door now. Loves all the vet nurses and charges in the minute Paul calls him. Always comes out wagging his tail. Paul has always picked up and treated any problems straight away. Very happy.

Got recommended this vets by a friend and we have been so impressed by them. Have been with them for almost two years and I think you would struggle to find more caring and compassionate people who work there. Receptionists are always SO helpful and informative, you get welcomed with such warm smiles, any vet or nurse we have interacted with have been absolutely fantastic and they all genuinely love and care about all animals. Having tried a couple of practices and not been happy I moved all my pets over a year ago (Labrador, cat and tortoises) to Chestnut Vets. I am really happy with the service I have received. Particularly from Chris Snow. He is caring and has a brilliant way of explaining everything so you know all your options and can make an informed decision on a plan of action (when faced with difficult decisions.) All treatment recommended has been made with the best interest of the particular pet which has not always felt this way in the past. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Reception Always friendly and the vets give great advice. Especially recently when i enqired about neutering my dog.

Great experience for both our cat and ourselves. We were all a little nervous as it was our first time at the vets since we took over his care. All staff members were welcoming, warm and proficient. Would recommend without hesitation.

I have been with this vets for over 30 years. As you can imagine I’ve had a number of dogs. I recently got a new puppy, after the death of my springer. I have never considered moving vets. All the staff are friendly, supportive and professional. I can honestly say, I would 100% recommend them.

This vet practice has gone above and beyond for us and our beloved dog, they've been really helpful throughout the whole process, reassuring us when we were very stressed. All the nurses, vet and receptionists have been so lovely and helpful, helping us understanding what is going on and always putting our minds at ease when we had questions and concerns. Amazing communication with us throughout it all, and even with the ongoing vet appointments, explaining everything really well when we struggled to understand what was happening. I have visited veterinary practices over many parts of England. I have to say this practice is the most caring one I have ever been to. ALL the staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff, the nurses, the vets all take time to explain everything in such a kind and caring manner. Thank you so much for looking after Bonnie who wasn’t even remotely afraid to return for her check up. In fact she couldn’t wait to go through the door. This practice is professional and caring with fair prices compared to other veterinary practices in Hatfield. I prefer this practice as a result. Moreover, my best little furry friend and I have been with The Village Veterinary Surgery since our return to the UK in the summer of 2022 and have been met with kindness and respect. My dog's vet is Lisa who is brilliant because her knowledge is excellent, her sweet and gentle way of being with my little dog is perfect, and her advice just great. I feel grateful to be a client of such a well run and caring, professional veterinary practice. I have also visited their practice in St Albans (last summer) which is equally impressive. Always excellent service. I have three cats registered here and have annual checkups. One of my cats is a stray. I am always impressed with the advice and guidance I receive when I call for help. I recently brought in a 16 yr old poorly stray that I called Tiger Tiger. I had found her but wanted advice on her care and possible treatment. I was told she had only 2 weeks to live as she had a heart murmur, end of life liver/kidney and heart disease. She sadly died two weeks later as stated but the vet team showed her love and care above and beyond.They were all so kind to this poorly wonderful stray. Thank you everyone.

Since our dog, Bailey, has been a puppy, we’ve come here for all the treatments and help he’s needed. The whole team is incredibly accommodating and just genuinely lovely people. They have looked after our dog and given him the best care. Regardless of what he’s been through he still wags his tail when we get there and loves all the fuss and attention he gets. In terms of pricing they really aren’t too bad if you compare with other vets. Highly recommend!

Took my dog Clyde to vets today.Nurses were very good and professional, and caring towards Clyde. Lindsay the vet was very caring and professional. He took time to examine Clyde and try to reassure Clyde, as unfortunately Clyde gets very anxious. Lindsay explained everything very clearly and carefully to me. Excellent care for my anxious Clyde. What looked like being a major stressful visit, turned out the opposite ! Our 2 x kittens first visit to vet for jabs, microchips, check up etc. They were obviously scared but stayed still during everything and even fell asleep in reception, waiting for me to fill out the forms. The whole atmosphere there is calm and Pedros was so calming for the fur babies and handled everything beautifully. Am happy now that follow up visits will be fine 😻

10 years plus, Two Cats and One Dog and I have nothing but high praise for Lindsay and his team. Unfortunately the most recent trip, just under a week ago was to say goodbye to our dog, Alfie, who had a tumour removed in December 2024 and passed away on 30/05/25. Throughout his treatment we have had, in my opinion the best care possible from Lindsay and his whole team. They are all so caring and understanding and Lindsay is so passionate about the animals its almost as if they are all his own, amazing vets. The same goes for all our animals that have had to receive treatment form Medivet Cheshunt, whether it be from the normal yearly inoculations or to things more serious, the care has always been of the highest order. Yes we did once have an issue with a locum who had to fill in whilst the regular vets were away, but after informing Lindsay of our concerns, he was never to be seen again. So thank you so much Medivet Cheshunt for your excellent service and long may it continue. R. Page.

We joined Medivet’s a few weeks ago and have visited a couple of times already for puppy vaccines etc. Lindsey is amazing and you can see how much he loves his job and animals. Always been informative and gentle with our puppy who is not anxious at all in his hands. Staff at reception are helpful and always at hand to help with any questions. Really lucky to have such an amazing vets on our doorstep. Thank you

It's not an easy experience getting my cat to the vet as she hates leaving the house but the vets we have seen over the years have all been very good.

Absolutely outstanding practice. The staff are so friendly, helpful and kind with humans as well as the animals! It’s a brand new location and is so bright, spacious and easy to get to. I’ve found it hard to find a local vet that’s good with cats as most of my local veterinary practices are Goddards and I had the absolute worst experiences with them so am more than happy to travel a bit further to go to The Pet Vet! Couldn’t recommend them more for how lovely they’ve been with my kitten, Pearl, from the nurses, students, vets and front of house team. All vets practices should be like this ♥️

Love this vets, the receptionists are great and the vet was so helpful. Went in to disuss my dog's stomach troubles, we worked on a plan that wouldn't be too expensive for me and my dog got anti-inflammatory meds that helped her enormously. She's now right as rain!

Been going to the vet now pet vet Waltham Forest for a long time. They were marvelous with our previous old English Sam who we lost in December 2023. and now can't fault them with the new edition Miley. Alba and Sharon especially and the whole team are very supportive and helpful in what has been a stressful time with our rescue dog. Can't thank them enough. Would definitely recommend.

Our lovely Holly was very scared of the men and vets but she was always treated with love, care and patience. The time spent with us supporting her with her medical condition that we had no knowledge about was so appreciated. She had 4 lovely years with us, supported by you. At the end you offered us reassurance that we were making the right decision for our lovely Holly. On those last appointments we were shown genuine care and love and Holly was treated with so much dignity she was always the most important thing. We hope to see you all again one day. X

Words cannot express how wonderful all the staff are. I have been coming to the vets for as long as I can remember. First when it was Happy Pet then Medivet. Timba our beloved dog, had to be put to sleep. She lived an amazing life. 15 years, 5 months and 25 days to be precise. I would like to say that on the day, I didn't have my usual vet Lorenzo. I had Isabelle. She was kind, caring and talked me all through the proccess. Lorenzo came in through the proccess too. The after care and the thoughtfulness from all at this branch was second to none. Thank you so much for everything you have done for Timba over the years. Love from The Kouri Family

We unfortunately had to take our boy Frankie to an emergency appointment last night where we sadly had to say goodbye to him. The team were honestly absolutely amazing, kind and caring. Our vet lead us through every step with caution, understanding and patience. I cannot express how thankful I am to how you all treated us through out the process and for the care and instant love you gave to our boy. Thank you all so much.

Recently had to put my baby Marley to sleep. He was 16 and half years old. The team were very compassionate, patient and dealt with Marley and us with the utmost care. They made a very difficult situation more bearable. The aftercare and collection of his ashes was again dealt with sensitively. Thank you so much!

Helped my best pal Rufus ( a giant of a dog in every respect ) immidiately when he became seriously ill today, treating both him and me with immense care, dignity, empathy and respect.
