My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the rethatching of our whole roof in autumn 2021. A beautiful work-of-art in the traditional Dorset style, exceptionally well constructed, that has been admired by many visitors and passers-by alike …., including chartered surveyors. Matthew and his colleague, Ollie Kennedy, are a star team. They were a joy to have on site, polite, respectful and reliable. They were hard-working throughout long hours, irrespective of the weather, and stayed on our project alone until fully completed. The job was carefully and properly explained from the outset. Contractually the terms were clear and straightforward, and the fixed price was reasonable and maintained ......., with no ‘extras’. I cannot recommend MP Thatching more highly.

Matt and his team are punctual, hardworking and professional. The quality of workmanship is of the highest quality. We were updated on progress on a daily basis. The site was kept clean and tidy and at end of job everything was left in perfect order. Our roof is now looking thr best it has ever been.

Mathew was highly recommended and three years ago did some patching for us. We then booked him to re thatch the roof and were happy to wait knowing we were in good hands. He kept in touch as promised and arrived as scheduled mid March this year, 2023. He has an excellent work ethic, always prompt with time keeping, responding to calls etc and has an unflappable approach where nothing seems too much trouble. Matthew, Ollie and Luke were totally professional from the outset, keeping us involved with their progress and any unforeseen problems were seamlessly resolved. Their enthusiasm regarding their work was carried out with pride, professionalism and to an exceptionally high standard. This has been commented on by many passers by whether walkers or drivers who stopped to watch and admire our beautiful new thatch. We cannot recommend them highly enough. They were a joy to have around throughout the whole process, very appreciative and respectful, a very happy harmonious team.

Matthew and his team did a brilliant job replacing the ridge and carrying out general repairs and cleaning to the thatched roof of our cottage in Wiltshire. They arrived punctually at 7.00am every day and worked solidly throughout, completing the job in 2 weeks to our great satisfaction. With amazing skill the roof now looks immaculate and is a true credit to the Conservation Area. Well done!

Matthew and Ollie were always punctual, considerate, polite and had attention to detail. The site was tidied up daily and thoroughly cleaned at the end. This was a complete rethatch and stayed within the very reasonable quote. They worked quickly and efficiently and to the time stated (three weeks), there was some bad weather so we were really impressed. They have done a really good job and neighbours have made very positive comments about it. In all ways, we feel we made the best decision in using MP Thatching and would recommend them.
