I am a year 11 student. My name is @@@ My parents decided to home school me, as they felt it would be better for me to be taught by private tutors. When I was in high school last year, I felt I was not taught well. The teachers did not really help or guide me. When we googled for private tuition the first centre that came up was Prestige : The Tuition Centre, my mum and my dad showed me some of the views and said let’s visit it. My dad told Bano that he was more than happy to leave me with her to teach me fr my GCSEs. I feel that being homeschooled is the best choice ever. There are other children here being homeschooled, and I have another yr 11. We have become great mates and support each other. I also feel that we have so much respect from the tutors We have both 1:1 sessions and group sessions. We have sports in the park, football and basketball ball. We have shared lunch once a week with the tutors, and it makes it a great experience. All the tutors, Bano, Adibah, Rupasi, Khiresh, Adham, Angelina, and others, make it a great place for us to learn. My predicted grades are between 7-9. My parents are so happy we picked the right place for my home schooling.
My son has been coming here awhile now and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Great, friendly tutors. A structured educational programme to suit each students aims. My son got into Manchester Grammar school with his and the tuition centres hard work
Bano is an amazing English teacher. Before learning with her, I had never studied GCSE English before and was struggling, only achieving a grade 3 in my exams. As someone who speaks English as a second language, I found it difficult to improve on my own. However, after just one and a half months of tutoring with Bano, I managed to achieve a grade 5 in my resit GCSE! Bano taught me a lot of writing skills, especially how to structure my answers to get higher marks. She also helped me improve my creative writing by showing me techniques to make my writing more effective and engaging. Her teaching was clear, and she always made sure I understood how to apply what I learned in the exam. Thanks to her guidance, I became much more confident in my writing and overall English skills. I’m very grateful for her support and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to improve their English.
I’m a Year 11 student who has been home-schooled at Prestige :The Tuition Centre since September 2024. When I was in a private fee paying high school, I felt like I wasn’t being taught well—there wasn’t much guidance or proper support from the teachers. My parents and I knew I needed something better to reach my potential. When we found Prestige: The Tuition Centre online, we really liked the reviews. As soon as we stepped foot in the centre, it felt like the right place straight away. My parents trusted that Bano understood exactly what I needed, and they didn’t hesitate to enroll me. Looking back now, in February 2025, I know home-schooling was the best decision for me. One of the best things about Prestige is the balance between focused study and a supportive environment. I benefit from both 1:1 sessions and group sessions, which helps keep learning fresh and engaging. We also stay active with sports like football and basketball in the park, and when the weather isn’t great, we switch to table tennis indoors. This enhances us to stay fit and enjoy fresh air and it is also a very sociable activity. The tutors—Bano, Adibah,Tony, Khiresh, Adham, Alli, and the rest—make learning enjoyable and supportive. My predicted grades are between 7-9, and my parents are really happy with how everything has turned out. Prestige was definitely the right choice and i would strongly advise it to anyone looking to home-school their child.
STAFF REVIEW I had the privilege of working as a mathematics tutor at the Prestige Tuition Centre, Manchester for the 2022-23 academic session. The centre truly stood out for its outstanding work environment, dedicated staff, and a kind, supportive centre director, Ms. Bano. The centre’s approach to learning was both personalized and rigorous. Every prospective student began their journey with a diagnostic test for the subject of interest, while the director and teachers engaged with parents or guardians to gain a deeper understanding of each child’s background and unique needs. This thoughtful process laid the foundation for crafting tailored weekly and monthly study plans. Weekly tests, culminating in a comprehensive monthly assessment that covered four weeks of material, allowed the centre to closely monitor and celebrate the student’s progress. Parents received regular updates, ensuring transparency and a shared commitment to the child’s academic growth. From the outset, tuition sessions were designed to build mastery from basic concepts, without any assumptions about the student’s current school level. Encouragement, rigorous practice, and regular revisions helped transform initial uncertainties into a confident ability to tackle challenging math problems. Whenever a student solved a particularly difficult problem, the achievement was celebrated—teachers, the director, and fellow students would collectively acknowledge the success with applause, reinforcing a culture of positive reinforcement. At the same time, any areas for improvement were handled discreetly and confidentially by the teacher and director, safeguarding the student's dignity. Inclusivity was at the heart of this learning environment. Every student, regardless of social or racial background, was welcomed and encouraged to learn from one another. The centre offered two modes of tuition: personalized one-to-one sessions and energetic group study sessions. I especially enjoyed leading group sessions, where the healthy sense of competition spurred students to excel. In these sessions, progress was diligently noted and confidentially evaluated, allowing for tailored guidance that addressed individual needs without disrupting the collaborative spirit of the group. Sessions typically commenced with a concise explanation of key concepts, followed by student practice, with teachers readily available to assist and clarify doubts. The centre’s commitment to excellence was evident in its willingness to adapt pedagogical approaches based on feedback from both students and parents. This continuous refinement ensured an ever-improving, efficient path to student progress. My time at the centre was an enriching experience that not only deepened my teaching skills but also provided me with invaluable insights—many of which I continue to apply in my current role as an Assistant Professor of International Politics. I wholeheartedly recommend this tuition centre as a model of excellence in education. -Dr. Shafat Yousuf Former Maths Tutor, Prestige Tuition Centre, Manchester (Former Graduate Teaching Assistant, University of Manchester) Presently Assistant Professor International Politics (IR) Symbiosis International University https://www.ssispune.edu.in/faculty.php Google Scholar Profile: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=RWDIIpYAAAAJ&hl
