I looked for an essay writing summer tutor for my children as I feel the English system does not focus on teaching children how to present analytical thinking in written form but rather mainly on content. It seems to be assumed that the children will find their way to writing good essays (and clearly many do). However, coming from the American system, in which the process of HOW to write a good essay is taught almost as a standalone subject, I felt that my children would be best served going into a writing task with the strongest possible toolset so that the ideas and ultimately what to write would become their only challenge. How to write would be second nature. I contacted Tania at Uber Tutors after a lot of research and, via her incredibly personalised interview approach, she matched a fantastic tutor with my children. Over the course of the summer, they learned how to structure, present and write an argument. They also learned how to incorporate evidence, be it literary, historical or data driven. Not only do they now approach every school essay confidently (dare I say enthusiastically?) but their teachers have mentioned their writing skills to me across the curriculum. I cannot thank Tania and Uber Tutors enough.

Uber tutors helped my son to improve from year 8 level(when he was at year 10) to year 11 within one year. They have a very good system that starts by assessing the the level of the child and then recommended the lessons required. However it doesn't end there. They also consider the child's personality and meticulously find the best tutor who would mach with the child. Prior to Uber tutors we tried a few other companies but none had a proper system in place. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful. There's clear and effective communication between the teacher and parents and a detailed feedback provided at the end of each and every lesson. As a result, our son passed his GCSES with very good results. Thank you Uber tutors.

The tutor matched to me was very helpful. Her essay writing course contributed to my first year history average going from a mid 2.1 to a high 1 in second year. I have consistently used Uber Tutors for my child since year 5, elevating their potential at different stages of their State and Comprehensive schooling. Uber Tutors coached my child through their dyslexia diagnosis, immediately understanding their needs and instilling confidence. My son has been working with Justin since disappointing GCSE mock results. He is dyslexic and struggles with articulating in a way that will help him through exams. Whilst this is at the heart of our flawed education system - we have no option so I specifically looked on the British Dyslexia Association website. Justin has been a revelation for my son - he connects immediately, makes the sessions engaging and interesting and dare I say it, my son actually looked forward to his sessions. Justin works closely with parents, communicates openly, is creative about revision materials and approaches. Kavita Arif is an excellent Math teacher. She has been tutoring my son for a few weeks, and her teaching method is very interactive. She keeps her students engaged continuously and works them through any sticky patches they might encounter. She is brilliant, and I highly recommend her. Safiyyah is an excellent Biology, Chemistry and Geography teacher. Kevin is an outstanding and naturally gifted tutor who was able to put my daughter at ease from the 1st lesson. He understands the teenage brain and works very well in nurturing his student with versatility and consideration of their current mindset. I attended fine tutors the King’s Cross branch for GCSE’s and with the amazing teaching from my maths teacher Ismail and supervisor Abu Ismail I have achieved a 9 in maths. The incredible English teachers (Ahmed and Sanjida) have also helped me to get a 9 in English language and literature as they continually put hard effort into making sure I understood everything and gave me high level knowledge and vocabulary to stand out and get those top marks. On top of this the supervisor Ms Saffa has always allowed me to be with my chosen teachers when I used to continuously change my timetable see to fit my timetable.

I attended PrimeTutors while studying for my A-levels. They helped me gain confidence in the subjects I had studied and they provided lots of resources to guide me through studying my A-levels. Our son has been working with Sarah for approximately 18 months now. Initially this was for 11+ prep but we have continued with his sessions post exams to prepare him for secondary school. We were delighted when he was offered a place at our first choice school recently and Sarah was an incredible support helping our son to get through the process. Our son loves his tutoring with Sarah. He is always happy to jump online for their calls and he really enjoys the time they spend together. Sarah has been amazing at building his confidence and working in a way that suits his learning style. She has developed a great rapport with him and been creative in the ways she has managed to get him to engage and learn. They are very well connected and the Kensington address helps with high calibre clientele. Their international work can be varied and payment issues are not unknown with some clients. However, their accounts team and management are very personable and genuinely act as agents for their tutors and clients rather than faceless middlemen adding little value. Sophie is excellent and comes at this from the background of tutoring herself so just gets it. Dion works very hard and is a very empathetic member of the team, understanding clients and tutors' perspectives very well.

Very happy with help we have received from Simply Learning Tuition. The communication was clear, fast and easy. They helped us to find a wonderful tutor ( Elizabeth Campbell) for our daughter to help with her preparation for Cambridge interview, as well as throughout overall admission process. It was really helpful to see monthly reports on what was covered in each of the sessions.
