Really good experience with Ben and Elliot from Jordan Carpentry. Although they specialise in historic buildingrestorations, they hung four doors for me and I couldn't be happier with the result. Initially I was given a 5 week lead time due to their current job load, however Ben managed to complete my job within a week of coming round to view the job and provide a quote. Very happy customer! I wanted to utilise the space under the stairs better than the old fashioned cupboard that was put in place when the house was originally built. Ben listened to what I wanted and advised me how best to achieve this. He and Elliott have arrived on time in the mornings, they advised me of each step and communicated well with me. At the end of each day they cleaned the area where they were working prior to leaving and once the job was finished took everything away. I am really very pleased with the end result, the quality of the work is excellent and it is better than I expected. I would strongly recommend Ben and Elliot to anybody looking for carpentry work.

Could not recommend Ben highly enough! He has recently done a fair bit of work for us including transforming our banister, building bespoke under stairs storage, moving a doorway and building a little cupboard to house our fuse box. Everything Ben does is to the highest standard. Nothing is too much trouble and he completely understood my vision and brought it to life! He is also a pleasure to have around, my Labrador has gone into a deep depression because he misses his buddy. Ben always leaves everything clean and tidy and is mindful of the little ones running around. Couldn’t ask for more, thank you Ben!

We employed Ben to install new ceiling joists under a pyramid roof, including insulation board, air barrier and plasterboard finish in our Grade II listed home. The quality of his workmanship is excellent. Ben is conscientious, punctual, clean and tidy and we can't recommend him highly enough. We will definitely be using Jordan Carpentry for any further projects.

We have had Norwood carpentry round our house to do a number of thing but the main thing was our bathroom Mark was very good with his time keeping his cleanliness and and polite the job came just under budget and finished ahead of time witch was great I can’t recommend his enough very pleased with his work 5 stars all the way and I do not use anybody else I have booked him back in to do my media

BM carpentry and building carried out our loft conversion and we really couldn’t be happier. The entire project - from initial conversations - until the final completion was so professional and the end result is perfect. Brett communicated clearly with us at each step and was very patient when explaining what needed to be done at each stage and what we should expect. We felt Brett really cared about our views and whether we were happy and he was fully committed to completing in the time frame he had laid out for us. We had great trust in Brett and his team and have used the company a few times for building or carpentry work and are planning on using them again.

BM Carpentry and Building did some work do or me recently (Sept 2023) at my house, to repair and replace some rotten woodwork around my French door and adjacent windows. Brett and Wes did a great job. They came out and discussed it in detail with me first, then subsequently came out and completed the job in a single day. The work done was of good quality, at a fair price and they left things clean and tidy. I had used their services previously once before, a couple of years ago on a bigger job when I was having my house re-roofed and had the same very positive experience then. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend BM Carpentry and Building!

I am thrilled with the work Darren has completed for me. He did numerous jobs including making made a new wooden front door for me and it's frame. He made the door and painted it beautifully. Darren built some bespoke fitted wardrobes and shelving. Darren offered up a lot of advice prior to the build and came up with some good ideas. He turned up on time, worked hard, cleaned up every day and was a pleasure to have on site. I would recommend Darren, and will certainly use him again when we need some more carpentry done. A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Andy and Pete consistently confirmed that we'd made the right decision when we asked them to build a single storey extension onto the back of our house and a replacement porch. They were not only highly skilled, patient, honest, trustworthy and communicative, they (and their team) were just great people to have around. That's pretty vital when they are going to spend months on your project! They used their vast experience and network to quickly resolve any challenges which arose and have left us with a life changing extension that we enjoy each and every day. The gorgeous extension is filled with light due to an apex roof housing two Velux windows and a complete wall of bifold doors with glass gable end. The Utility Room houses our white goods at a raised level for ease of use and our very swanky porch (!) is rendered as per the bottom half of the entire house. Quite a transformation! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish and the final outcome far exceeded my expectations. Sam was friendly and really listened to what I wanted from my built in wardrobes. He took my ideas and helped finesse them into a final product that worked best for me and the space available. Lewis advised and replaced the bannisters on our stairs. He did a great job and was polite and courteous. I will be using his services again…. The experience from start to finish has been fantastic! I was given a really reasonable quote, and though additional costs were added (due to extra work which needed to be carried out) these were also really reasonably priced and I was kept well informed about it before the work was carried out. I'd also discovered what can only be described as a nightmare of hidden pipework under the old larder (before work was due to be carried out), and though my own worries about this caused delays with the work starting, Lewis was really supportive in addressing this and was really quick to respond to all of my concerns. Garath fitted my new cabinets, moved my extractor fan/boxing, replaced my windowsill and also worked on a few extra areas in the kitchen and I'm honestly impressed with how good it all looks! All his work has been topnotch and throughout the process he was always polite and took the trouble to answer any questions I had. Work was also finished really quickly which was a bonus! My thanks to you both - can't recommend highly enough!

Very happy with our new gaming table, it's solid and robust (glad I opted to have the legs as removable, I don't think it would have fit through the door otherwise!). Each of the four "leaves" fit together nicely. We purchased a plastic cover to go under the table cloth to help protect any spillages from reaching the baize mat. We have had a couple of games on it already and it has the cat's approval for comfort. Communication with the company was good throughout. Would recommend for board gaming enthusiasts!
