Brilliant garage, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Completely trustworthy, knowledgeable, and tell you it straight. I had some problems with my car during a difficult time and they couldn't have been more kinder. I really can't recommend this garage highly enough.

We have zero car knowledge in our family which can leave you feeling vulnerable to being ripped off when it comes to car maintenance etc - Steve Byrams garage has been brilliant with all our cars and kids cars. Sometimes with very little charge and never tries to oversell unnecessary repairs. We couldn’t recommend this garage enough.

Just booked mine in to get handbrake looked at as wasn't the best. They found it to be a sticky brake caliper and they cleaned and lubed and tested it stating it may need a new caliper if it gets weak again or it will be fine now it has been freed up and just asked me to keep an eye on it. I imagine they could have said it needed all sorts but they didn't and just did enough at minimum cost to sort it. It is now so much better and it cost next to nothing. Will be using as my local garage from now on with both my vehicles. Thanks guys. Sept 2024. my car broke down on way to work, Honda Civic 2005. Went with a bang and absolutely no power to wheels. Called Steve Byram Garage and asked if I could recover my car there for diagnosis and repair. Not a problem but was told it would depend on what caused issues and business of garage in general as to how long I would have to wait. I was happy with this as I know garages are busy in general. I was also keen to return to this garage after previous positive experience. Well this one was even better. Julian called me that afternoon telling me the car was ready. It was a drive shaft broken in half and they had obtained one and managed to fit it the same day. Can't thank them enough. Unbelievable service, the car is perfect and the cost was surprisingly reasonable for what was a pretty big job. Picked it up from Paul who showed me the part they'd replaced which was totally sheared in half. Thanks once again.

This place was recommended by a fellow biker doing work on our house when he saw my Bonneville in the garage. I booked an MOT and service and was pleasantly surprised to be offered a courtesy car, I was expecting a combination of bus and walk to get back home. Fiona in reception and Mat in the garage were both welcoming and friendly. The work was completed sooner than expected compared to previous experiences but was completely satisfactory and cost less than I expected too. Altogether a very good value for money service. I highly recommend DC Autos to other bikers (and probably all motorists).

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Matt at DC Autos Had a problem with my VW, after speaking to a couple of other garages I spoke to Matt who didn't make a big deal out of the job, explained what needed doing, ordered the part and sorted it, without having to take another mortgage out. Fantastic service from Matt. Very much appreciated. Having had a bad experience at another garage, I can honestly say Matt is at the other end of the spectrum and I wished I’d spoken to Matt before to sort my last car out after it went into a garage working and came out broken. I bought a newer (used) car but I knew it needed some work on it to get it back up to standard and this is where Matt came in repairing and checking everything. Matt went above and beyond to help with this. Fab communication and great customer service from a very knowledgeable man making sure my car was working correctly and replacing parts that needed sorting. Thank you Matt. You have definitely gained me as a long term customer 😊

Took my wife's VW for 2 year service. Very thorough, picked up a couple of things that should have been done by German Auto care on previous service, but weren't and sorted out lumpy running engine. Spotless workshop at the end of a busy day too. Highly recommended and we'll always use them in future. Great job!

Good solid blokes who do a great and reasonably priced job. My only negative would be when they answer the phone. I like a business to announce who they are when I call, not just 'Hello!' Other than that, brilliant. I'd highly recommend them.

We've rarely met a professional mechanic in the motor trade as genuine as Adrian from AV Motors in Skelmanthorpe. We were in desperate need of expert assistance with our vehicle and, being hundreds of miles away from home, we felt anxious that we might not be able to drive back. Adrian offered to help, despite being totally booked up with other work. He truly was our savior. Not only was he speedy, but he thoroughly checked & fixed our vehicle, getting us back on the road with a cheery smile & his great, no nonsense, Yorkshire attitude. Always helpful, Always use Hillam Tyres for swapping over to mine and wife's Winter tyres and they always manage to fit us in even when they're very busy. This time I manage to catch a screw through tyre driving home and lost alot of pressure quickly, called up said come straight over 20mins later I'm back on road. I feel so lucky to have found this place. Honestly, I can not say enough good things about this garage! Tucked away in Skelmanthorpe, it really is a jewel. The customer service is outstanding, everyone is really friendly, and they go over and above any customer expectations. I picked my car up and casually asked about one of my parking sensors not working... a lovely young lad came out and fixed it for me there and then, no charge, just happy to help! I recently had both of our vehicles serviced at Nick Ryden’s for the first time. We dropped off the cars in the morning and were able to collect them in the early afternoon. The staff are friendly, and the rates are excellent. We plan to book in for MOTs next time around and will definitely return for any future car repairs or servicing. The garage is local and offers overall great value.
