Great find this very small South Indian restaurant in Chertsey. We tried chicken 65, onion dosa and Malabar fish curry. All excellent and great value.

Amazing indian restaurant with immaculately authentic south indian cuisine along with fantastic north india cuisine as well. Tasting the food here took us on a virtual trip to India. After tasting the food, I told my wife “I am having happy tears”. We have been frequenting here for about 2 years from when they were in their old place in gogmore farm park. They have a large selection of meat, vegetarian and vegan and South indian (Tamil) cuisine has got so many dishes that are naturally vegan. They have lots of options for curries with meat or paneer and even veggies. Every curry that we have tasted here was simply awesome! We have also had snacks like pakkoras and bajjis and north indian chat like samosa, etc., which were all fantastic. Most of all the people are all so kind, friendly and polite and the service is lightning quick. Top must try: Podi dosa or literally any variety of dosa Idly vada Sambar vada Poori masala Parotta kuruma North Indian: Paneer butter masala Garlic naan In the desserts, don’t miss out of gulab jamun with ice cream, it is such a delicacy! Parking tip: if you are unable to find parking on the side of the roads, just head to sainsbury that is in the opposite street, it has free parking after 6 PM everyday and Sundays full day free. Other days you get to park for half hour for free.

Gluten free & dairy free options. Really pleased to have a good authentic Indian restaurant on the Chertsey high street and meets Indian standards too :p The lamb biryani was lovely - not oily (unlike many restaurants) and appropriately garnished with a boiled egg, cashews and fried onions…the way it’s made at home in India, with attention to ingredients and quality. Tasted great too! Good quantity, did not skimp on the meat and the lamb was tender. Only tried the biryani this time but will try more of the menu next time. On a previous occasion we had the dosa (a South Indian savoury pancake with accompaniments and a favourite comfort food for South Indians) …and it was done perfectly with the correct accompaniments (sambar, chutney etc) while being spot-on flavour-wise . The prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants and the quality is very good…hope they will stay consistent with the quality. Overall very happy- Will be back!

Flavours true to the South India. Idli was fresh, and chutney flavours were amazing too. Dosas were spot on. 4 tables for dine in option. Quick service. Will definitely be going back.

I’m worried in writing a great review as there’s going to be no seats in future as it’s so great. I loved this small restaurant. Authentic, crispy and tasty dosas and the masala chai is really good. Honestly it felt like I was eating in Tamil Nadu, India. Thank you for opening so close to home. Now I feel right at home!
