Just want to share how amazing Emily has been. Emily coloured and cut my hair my hair to hide and blend in my greying roots for years, finding the right colour (browns) and giving fantastic advice and support as I started my 'curly girl' project...and then.. after covid... as I had been unable to access my lovely hairdresser (all of us!) I started to embrace my greys and began the transition to full natural grey...Emily worked so hard on my hair supporting me and advising me through the process. Highly recommend :)

My first visit there today after moving to the area. My hair was difficult but Lauren was AMAZING. She listened to me and she knew exactly what she was doing. I honestly feel like a new woman.

If you have anxiety and a child but need a hair cut this is definitely a place for you. I usually get my hair done in a smaller place but unfortunately my baby sitter wasn't available so I needed a place bigger to do my hair. I found one 4 hairdressing and the reviews and photos speak for themselves so I booked and used the description box to explain my desperate need for a cut but I have a toddler. I walked in the hairdressers and was met with smiles, and an introduction to who would be cutting my hair. I worked in customer service before my son came along and I've never been made to feel so comfortable in the first 2 seconds of walking into somewhere except my family. I had a lovely lady and hopefully I can be reminded if I get a reply to my review so I can ask for her next time. We spoke about our dogs and the ladies want for children, she made me smile and my son smile too. Can't ask for anything more perfect in customer service. Thank you, I'll be back!

I never usually write reviews but always read them, however I felt the need to write One4 a truthful, great review. It is so difficult to find an honest, trustworthy and reliable hairdresser but I finally feel reassured that my hair is in safe hands. Sophie was great at discussing all elements of what I wanted, whilst providing valid and useful (brilliant) advice. There was no ambiguity and I knew exactly what to expect as a final result. In addition to a real sense of expertise, there was such a friendly atmosphere within the salon from all staff members. Thank you so much for the great experience - I will be back!

Thank you, Thank you to my amazing hairdressers…..they have worked so hard to get my hair to the ‘right’ blonde for me. I am really fussy and find it hard to get the right colour but they are truly fantastic at what they do! I can’t thank you enough….I LOVE IT!!!

Having struggled for years to find a suitable hairdresser who can manage my mixed race hair I finally found The Chair. They are simply the best! They work their magic on my hair every time and make me feel well and truly pampered whilst I'm having my keratin smoothing Brazilian blowdry. I have a regular wash cut and blowdry in between treatments and my hair is now in such good condition since becoming a customer of theirs. Hair magicians! 🪄 Thank you 💇‍♀️

Edit: Further to me posting this review, the lovely owner got in contact with me to talk through my points and offered me compensation or a free haircut and blowdry. The owner really obviously cares a lot about her business and staff and this wholly translated through this phone call - she's a really lovely lady who wanted to make things right, so I've added a well deserved star. I wholeheartedly appreciate the compensation provided to me, thanks so much for listening to my genuine review. I did want to reiterate that everyone I have had contact with at the Chair have been so lovely, my hair stylist included, and it seems I just had a rare bad experience, via miscommunication or other. Thanks to everyone at the Chair for genuinely caring and making things right. Original Review: Unfortunately I won't be coming back. My stylist was a really really lovely person and did a fabulous job on my bangs but I asked for 2 inches max off my length and at least 3-4 have been cut off my long hair. 2 inches was all I wanted at a maximum because I have very long hair and struggle to feel myself without it but wanted a refresh. I also asked for small beach waves for styling and got a princess curly hairdo instead- not me and not what I asked for at all, and I had photos in tow as an example of what I wanted and just wasn't what I got. I ended up going home and restyling it myself. The cut itself is nice (barring the extra length cut off which I'm not happy about) but for £78 I can't fathom that what I got is what I paid for. A pity, as I came here after having a few bad experiences too.

I went to The Chair 2 weeks ago and left not entirely happy, as I found many split ends after the appointment. When I left an in-depth review (3 stars) they contacted me asking if I was available for another appointment for a free cut & blow dry to fix the problem. Today I came back for my appointment and they were lovely. They really cleared up any miscommunication between me, the client, and my Hairdresser, Amber, and Amber did a beautiful job. Katie, the owner, also came and talked to me to make sure everything went well and I left with no visible split ends and a gorgeous hairstyle. Thank you so much for your great customer service The Chair!!

Leah was fantastic. It was my first time in the salon and I was a bit nervous explaining what I wanted to someone new following a bad experience in the past. Leah asked me what I was looking for and walked me through all of the steps she was going to take, checking in with me along the way. My experience was lovely and I was very happy with the end result. I will be booking in again in the future with Leah and I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you have any anxiety around visiting a salon!

Angelina was brilliant with my daughter who is quite shy. She put her at her ease and chatted to her throughout, so friendly. My daughter was super pleased with her har. Thank you!

I'm so glad I found Ohana Hair and Beauty! I needed to find a new hairdresser after about 7 or 8 years, and saw them recommended on a page on Facebook. As soon as I got there for my consultation Kara asked me exactly what it was I wanted, as well as giving me some ideas and advice about my hair. The salon itself is lovely and both Kara and Lucy are so welcoming! I absolutely love my new hair and would recommend Ohana to everyone - thanks girls!

Had a jellyfish cut done by Ben and I’m incredibly happy with the results! The length and style is exactly what I wanted and I really felt listened to about my wants from the appointment. Highly recommend him as he was very kind and accommodating and gave me a great cut :)

I booked a last minute appointment with Elise for my 10 year old daughter yesterday and she had the most wonderful experience. It was her first time visiting a salon and she was thoroughly pampered and absolutely thrilled with her haircut. We will definitely be back and cannot recommend Elise enough.

Had a haircut with Elise today and cannot recommend enough! Best haircut experience I have had. Elise carefully listened to me and did my hair perfectly, and exactly how I wanted it. This was funny because where I have gone somewhere else before, they have said I couldn't get a fringe because of my cow's lick, but Elise proved them wrong and gave me the perfect wispy fringe. What made the experience even better was how she talked me through it the whole time, making sure I was happy with the cut throughout, this was really nice because most hairdressers don't do this. Overall, Elise is the best person I've gone to for my hair and I will definitely be going again. I walked out feeling like a total new me, which I loved.

I have been visiting Mirage Hair and Beauty for a couple of years now. All the staff are lovely and attentive. They have helped my daughter who has special needs to have a haircut. I highly recommend this salon to anyone. 5*

This was the first time I've used Peppers hairdressers, I have to say I was impressed. Hollie cut my hair and did an excellent cut, I'm really pleased. They are following every rule regarding covid and I felt quite safe in their salon. Hollie and the other staff are very friendly and I will be returning there to have the next cut.

Brilliant SEN haircut experience. We moved here in July, and my autistic toddler needed the dreaded hair cut. I really didn't want to travel back to Essex for his cut so finally found Mirage and from the first message on facebook they have been absolutely brilliant. Reassuring, Kind and incrdibly gentle and sweet with my boy. Normally it is absolutely traumatising and he thrashes about which i forewarned, but although he cried non stop, he sat so well and very quickly stopped once his hair was done. (approx 10mins) Charley was AMAZING with him, very calm and serene, which Ralph gravitated towards her. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! you made something which is very traumatising for both me and my boy very easy and calm. and the cut is amazing!!!

My experience with this salon . Makes you welcome and comfortable. They have a consultation before doing anything with your hair. Makes sure you understand about the colours you want and if it will take on your hair . And if a style will suit the shape of your face. I trust the staff fully in this salon. Gina has been cutting my hair 15 years plus now She does an excellent cut each time All staff are polite friendly and engaging You are offered a hot drink and biscuit during your time at the salon I always try and support local hard working businesses such as Ginas and whole heartedly agree with her cash only policy as this ensures she doesnt have to pay extortionate amounts of bank charges to have a card reader/machine installed and operating in her salon.

I love this hairdressers.I actually travel 30 mins to get my hair done here, over anywhere local. They are very friendly and welcoming and they are always happy to advise and talk you through different styles, colours and treatments. I always leave a satisfied customer.
