100% would recommend Bespoke Weddings to anyone hoping to tie the knot! My fiancé & I had entered one of their competitions for a free wedding venue, and much to our surprise, we won round 1 & bagged ourselves our dream wedding venue - rustic, vintage and quaint suited us down to a T, and this is exactly what we have got thanks to Bespoke Weddings!! Evie Lambert was appointed as our wedding planner, and she’s been fab so far - we cannot thank her enough for all of her help & support! We’re getting married in July 26, so still lots of planning to do but thanks to the competition and our lucky hand at winning the venue, we’ve had a massive weight off our shoulders with one less cost to worry about!! Evie is super polite, friendly and not at all pushy which is what we were initially worried about when chatting to and planning our wedding with Bespoke Weddings - they’ve been fantastic, and I have no doubt in my mind that our wedding day will be absolutely spot on 🥰 thank you so so much again Evie & team!! When I entered the competition in November I never expected to get a phone call to say we had won! Bespoke have made my dream venue a reality and we wouldn’t have been getting married so soon if it wasn’t for this opportunity! Review From the moment we got the call to say we had won round one of the wedding competition to the moment we woke up as husband and wife, Maria and Bespoke have been incredible. There is so much press on how stressful planning a wedding is but for us it has been the opposite, in fact it was rather a magical experience and we only had just over 4 months to get it all done! Maria was there on the day and made sure we had everything we needed and throughout the day she made sure we were happy, she was amazing and it was a blessing to have her as part of our day. Thank you to Bespoke for everything they do for couples getting married, your company is outstanding. The biggest thank you goes to Maria for her professional and passionate approach to planning our big day. She started as our planner but now she’s more like family.

We got married at Ponden Mill in August this year and had an amazing day. Elkie and Francesca who run the show are lovely and chilled and they know what they are doing. Everything went very smoothly in the lead up and on the day which took away the stress. One of the reasons we chose Ponden was because it felt more laid back and friendly than some other wedding venues which felt quite 'stiff' in terms of what you could and couldn't do, as well as being able to set up the day before and stay in the attached cottage. The outside ceremony area is lovely and the inside doesn't need loads of decoration. The food and drinks from The Outside Kitchen were delicious too, many of our guests commented on how great the meal was Would definitely recommend Ponden as a wedding venue!

We had our wedding at Ponden Mill on 13 April 2024 and had the best day of our lives. If you are thinking about booking here as your wedding venue, do it! I can safely say we have no regrets. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, including the surroundings. We didn’t need to spend a lot on dressing the venue because it largely speaks for itself, and the lighting etc. is already there to make it look amazing on the photos. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and that was with very little effort from us on decoration! Elkie was our main contact and was just an absolute dream. I am a perfectionist and hyper organised so I very often don’t feel like people are as ‘on it’ as me, but I never once felt that with Elkie! She is so helpful, responsive and knowledgable. I always really appreciated her honest advice and guidance, and reassurance when we needed it. All of the team are great however. Everyone there both the day before, and the day of were so professional, helpful and friendly. The level of service really needs to be shouted about. I will do a separate review for the Outside Kitchen who do the food, but another bonus of booking Ponden is that they are your caterers and, wow, the food was insane!! We would be forever grateful to Elkie and team for all they did towards the absolute best day of our lives. If we could do it all again, we absolutely would!

We booked our wedding at Ponden Mill Weddings way back in the Summer of 2020. Fast forward to 23rd July 2022 and the Ponden Mill Weddings team were instrumental in making our day as fun and amazing as possible! Elkie and Jamie were on site for our wedding and accommodated us amazingly, whether it was running the bar, making sure our guests were happy or pressing play on our ceremony playlist - they absolutely smashed it! What a fantastic day! The venue is a beautiful canvas for any type of wedding - ours was very much a colourful, DIY festival themed event that came together beautifully. We're absolutely delighted with how everything turned out and could not recommend booking this venue more. Not only will you be booking a gorgeous venue in the heart of the Yorkshire Countryside, but you'll be looked after by the most amazing team! Thanks again, Mr & Mrs Thornton! x

We got married at Ponden Mill at the start of August and we had the most amazing day we are so glad we chose this venue for our wedding. The Venue itself is beautiful and you could get away with doing very little to dress it and it would still look great but there is plenty of scope for you to put your own style on it. The surrounding Yorkshire countryside is very picturesque, and we were lucky enough to have the weather to allow us to have the ceremony outdoors which we loved. We weren’t looking for a very formal wedding but a relaxed party atmosphere and the venue and the team really delivered on this ourselves and our guests had so much fun! The food and drinks were great genuinely the best I have had at a wedding and I wasn’t the only person who thought so. There were so many options to choose from and you certainly won’t go hungry. The whole team were amazing throughout the entire process and always on hand to answer any questions or deal with requests we had in the run to the wedding and on the day. Really helped us relax and enjoy the day. Massive thank you to Elkie and Jamie who were there on the day but also to wider team for your help in the build up you absolutely smashed. We had the privilege to have Paul & Kelly with us on our special day in November 2023, and I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled we were with the results! Right from the start, they were total pros and showed so much love for what they do. They really took the time to understand our vision and made sure to catch every important moment and detail. Their creative skills and expertise really shine through in the final photographs and our highlight video. Each photo tells its own story and brings back all the emotions and happiness we felt that day. They have a great eye for getting the perfect shot, making sure the lighting and composition are just right, and capturing those spontaneous moments that really bring out the essence of the occasion. And not only were they amazing photographers, but they made us feel totally at ease throughout the whole process. They were so friendly and warm, and it felt like we were hanging out with friends. They blended seamlessly into the background during the ceremony and reception, but managed to capture every important moment. These guys are just incredible and we cannot thank them enough for the photos and video they captured of our special day. Paul and Kelly were so responsive, answering all our questions along the way. The pre-wedding photo shoot helped us feel comfortable with their shooting style and personalities, and excited us even more for the wedding day. On the day, they faded into the background, capturing the day perfectly. How they managed to get the exact right moments of the day on both photo and video we don’t know! We would absolutely recommend these guys to everyone we know!

Paul and Kelly shot our engagement and wedding, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. We wanted fun colourful images that were far removed from the traditional static line up of relatives, and they absolutely delivered. The photos are still my favourites and bring a real smile to my face every time I see them. They captured our special moments perfectly. They are also wonderful people themselves and helped us feel incredibly relaxed and chill. Don’t waste a second longer deliberating - book them now and you won’t regret it!

We hired Sian as our wedding coordinator for the 6wk lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. Her organisation with the suppliers before the wedding was incredible and by making a schedule that we also had access to it made everything much less stressful and smoother. Sian was so approachable and attentive both on the lead up to and on the day and she was also very personable. You could tell that she cared deeply about how our day went and put all effort into ensuring our day was stress-free. She put in so much work, everything on the day ran without a hiccup and we weren't worried for a minute which meant we could just enjoy our day! I would highly recommend Sian as not only can she take the stress off those final weeks when things can get very overwhelming but she also assisted us with ideas on how things could work on the day and was always on hand to answer any questions/concerns that we had. It was a pleasure to work with Sian and we cannot thank her enough for the huge part she played in our beautiful day ❤️

We hired Sian as our day-of co-ordinator for our wedding, and I am so so glad we did. She was really helpful in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding, helping tie all the details together and acting as a liaison for our other vendors which was really useful. Where Sian really shone was on the day of the wedding - we did a lot of DIY elements (bringing in a lot of our own food, drinks, and decorations) and hired in multiple independent vendors, and so there were a lot of moving parts, things that needed co-ordinating and delegating, and things that needed to happen at specific times and in specific areas. And thanks to Sian, it all went perfectly - every single thing we requested or put on the to do list got done (even last minute additions) and the day just flowed so seamlessly due to all her hard work behind the scenes. I cannot recommend Sian highly enough, she was so friendly and accommodating and we had such a fun and stress-free day all because of her work. Thank you!

After we postponed our wedding a year due to covid, I felt a little overwhelmed by resuming our planning and so reached out to Sian for her on the day coordination and some additional help in terms of childcare for our daughter aged nearly 2 on the later evening. Sian was brilliant coordinating the suppliers, it was a blank canvas venue and so we had numerous suppliers to link in with. Sian helped with last minute plans, picked up our props for the day and coordinated the set up. We couldn’t recommend Sian more highly! We had a DIY wedding at Kirkstall Abbey and a local pub, and we knew from the early planning stages that we’d need an on-the-day-coordinator. From our initial request and first meeting through to the day itself, Sian was approachable, friendly, super organised and professional. Sian’s coordination package is a cut above the rest as she also offers site visits and takes over supplier correspondence from 6 weeks before - this took a huge weight off our shoulders and allowed us to enjoy the run up. On the day itself, we knew we could relax and enjoy our special day because everything was in Sian’s capable hands. Sian was present when we needed her but working away (very-hard!) in the background, and everything ran smoothly and all the moving parts happened seamlessly. A huge, huge thank you!

If you’re looking for a wedding planner, look no further! Rosie is not only an incredibly organised, knowledgeable and professional planner but she’s also an absolute babe. She’s like having a best friend by your side every step of the way who knows all the good tips and tricks. She listened to exactly what we wanted and helped us create the most magical day. She was invaluable in the run up and even more so on the day. It was such a joy to have her as it meant we could just enjoy the day and not have to worry about anything. Rosie has been completely amazing throughout the wedding planning process and beyond. She is professional, reliable, proactive, and responsive; I genuinely don’t know what we would have done without her! She planned our wedding at Elmore Court in December 2020 and guided us through not only the process itself but also the fact we had to adapt from a 160 person wedding to a micro wedding with 16 people. We felt completely safe in her hands and I could not recommend Rosie Green Events highly enough!

We met Rosie through family friends who highly recommended her services. After getting engaged in December 2020, mid pandemic, we felt we needed an expert on board to guide us and hold our hand through the wedding planning process. Rosie provided exactly that and more. She took the time to understand our vision, kept a close eye on the budget whilst being personable, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Ordered the Zandra Rhodes biography from here as I prefer to buy from an independent book seller. Wow, what a lovely service! The book arrived beautifully wrapped with a handy bookmark and some info about the store's events. Wish I lived closer, I would attend some! Totally understand why this amazing bookstore won the prize as the best in the north as it’s wonderful. It has a wide collection of books and ode to literary giants, it has heartstopper pins and sassy shirts about witchcraft, it has a sapphic section and wide collection of Jane Austen merch. Also if you are a bronte lover a place to go. The owner was lovely and items were decently priced. Would recommend!

As part of my 70th birthday celebration, Greg and his wonderful Royal Blue Bristol coach gave my guests two delightful rides round Bradley, Skipton, Gargrave and Broughton. Everyone enjoyed the experience and the coach was in immaculate condition and rode very smoothly (unlike many modern buses). Thank you for a great experience.

Great addition to our wedding for a quick and easy transport for our guests from each venue- I know the ladies in heels definitely appreciated it! As the bride, I didn't actually go on the bus as we had a car but from the pictures, it looks like our guests had fun! It also got our friends and family chatting and sitting with people they didn't know so it was a good vibe all round! We must mention and commend the driver who steered and turned the bus around in a very tight spot of the street- all without power steering! Thank you for being a part of our day!

For are wedding 14/09/24 we had a royal blue single decker 1948 bristol ....made are day extra special, everyone loved it. The driver was a true gentleman the bus had a wedding banner on it, looked amazing ....Greg and his team kept me informed, although I may have been panicking slightly as it was are Big day ... it was perfect . Great customer service and communication thorough out from Greg. Thoroughly pristine vehicle. We couldnt have been happier with the vintage bus (1947 Albion) that we chose to carry our wedding guests to our wedding venue. It had been a surprise for the family and to see their faces was spectacular. Made us feel very special, so a huge thank you.

A group of six friends visited this fascinating house/museum. The written explanations were very clear and the curators there were really welcoming and well informed. Jenna, in particular, was very immersed in, and informed about, the lives and writings of these famous sisters through her masters study of Emily Brontë. The printed timeline about the family was very helpful as background context. The gift shop was good too and we bought a DVD called "To Walk Invisible: The Lives of the Brontë Sisters". This was a film telling the story of the whole family. The film, the curators and the house/museum layout itself really brought the family to life. This is a tourist attraction and I was impressed that there were printed descriptions of each room in various languages. It is worth also looking at the former gap in the wall at the bottom of the garden (now with an engraved slab) showing where the family walked down to the church, as well as the Old School House nearby. We spent an hour and a half in the museum, because we were really interested in it and spoke to the curators. The short lives of these young writers were truly remarkable. Highly recommended.

The jewel in the crown of Haworth. This small but perfectly formed museum showcases a reverent glimpse into the day to day lives of celebrated authors Ann, Emily and Charlotte Brontë, (and their family). It is run by a dedicated team of welcoming people, who quietly give you space to view, contemplate and learn while walking the same hallways as the Brontë family would have walked. If you admire the work of the Brontës, come to Haworth. Visit the Parsonage and take a stroll down Main Street, hike across the moors or ride a steam train. There really is no better place, (but I’m possibly biased)!

For a small place, this really holds a LOT of history, stories, objects, etc. It was immersion, informative & we thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a car park outside. I recommend taking cash in £1 and 50p if you can. There is an app to pay online but it was fidly. Your tickets to the museum will also grant you access for 12 months.

As a longtime fan of Charlottes Brontë, especially, I was excited for the opportunity to see the home in which she spent her life. They’ve done a good job displaying important items from all the family members, and one gets some idea of what life was like for them. I get the sense more is known about the family than can easily be displayed; I’m keen to explore a little deeper.

I recently stayed at YHA Haworth with a large group and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The grounds were spacious, perfect for a big group like ours, and the beds were comfortable, providing a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. While the site may not be luxurious, it had everything we needed for a large group and we had an enjoyable time surrounded by beautiful surroundings. Despite a few minor issues such as hot water occasionally not working and some problems with the filtered water system and ovens, the team at YHA Haworth handled them promptly and professionally. Overall, we had an amazing time and the small hiccups did not detract from our overall enjoyment. I would not hesitate to book with YHA Haworth again in the future. Thank you to the fabulous team for making our stay memorable!

Absolutely amazing place, and great value for money for exclusive hire of the entire hostel, so close to Haworth parsonage and Haworth village, great walking trails and hiking. Also enjoyed an afternoon tea, they also provide group activities such as Archery, Abseiling, Canoeing etc. Highly recommended for a lifetime experience.

I just recently had a brilliant stay at the YHA Haworth. Me and Several members of our family had the pleasure of staying at YHA. We had a brilliant experience to say the least. We booked out several rooms, to sleep in, and also threw a party in the newly renovated entertainment room. We were lucky to have some good weather, which made my experience just that much better. The building itself is beautiful, and the stained glass windows, and the spiral staircase make for some amazing pictures. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place any more. We all loved our experience, and were treated extremely well. The service we received was brilliant, and we were treated very well. It was great fun for the family, and the children too. The games room allowed for the children to have their fun, while the sitting room allowed the older kids and the adults to relax. Brilliant stay, and I will for sure come again. Couldn’t recommend it any more. Definitely a stay worth making.

My time at the YHA Haworth was beautiful. I went there with a few of my friends and stayed there for some time. We all agreed that the building looked wonderful along with its decorations. An agreement to come back in the future was made straight after our trip had ended. The services provided were beyond our expectations and really shocked us.

The Old School Room, under the ownership of the Church of England with support from a few charities/trusts, serves the community with space for functions and community activity. The building sits between Bronte Parsonage Museum and the splendid church along a lane which joins High Street within a minute's walk.
