Simon and his team were beyond amazing for our company’s Christmas Party this year in York. Every single one of my colleagues expressed how much they enjoyed each different aspect of the day, from the mini golf, basketball and other arcade games, the Grinch and Santa costumes (albeit the Grinch was terrifying!) and finally The Great Christmas Gameshow! The best venue you could possibly book for your wedding! Mark and Deborah are just amazing, from 18 months ago meeting them for the first time right up until the morning after the wedding they could not be more helpful and friendly. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they will make sure you have everything you want for your special day. The venue is amazing, they have thought of everything you could possibly need. It absolutely poured down all day for our wedding but Mark really went out of his way driving the bridal party around in his car to make sure none of us got wet getting down to the ceremony. They made sure the venue was properly equipped for such bad weather so that no one even cared about the weather and didn’t ruin the day what so ever. Jennie was also amazing running the day for us, she was always so smiley and so friendly for the whole day and kept checking in with us. She didn’t stop all day making sure it was the perfect day for us and made sure we both had a drink in our hand at all time, she’s an absolute credit to the venue. Every member of staff that worked on the day were so friendly and nothing was ever too much bother. We honestly had the best day ever.

Mark, Deb, Chantelle and the whole team at the SWF have created the most amazing wedding venue and made our wedding day in August 2024 so magical. They helped us from the very beginning, providing advice and guidance on how the day could run, recommended suppliers and were always a text / call / email away. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they made the planning process seamless. The venue itself is gorgeous set in the Saddleworth Hills and we had full rein of the venue for the full weekend. We could decorate it how we like and could make any finishing touches. They make you feel part of their family (by welcoming you into their home) and this made the whole experience more personal and less stressful for us. You can tell they are proud of what they do, and have created, and want you to have the best wedding day possible. You couldn't ask for anything more from the SWF!

We got married here in July 2024 and it was an unforgettable venue. The views over the hills were stunning and so many beautiful sites for photos. Great for kids as they were running round feeding the sheep and playing outdoor games. More than that, Mark, Debra and Jennie were fantastic. They took the time to really understand us as a couple and get us exactly what we wanted. They went the extra mile to help to create our perfect day - from hanging extra ‘green hangy things’ to driving us in a golf buggy up a hill for the best wedding shots. We held our wedding at the Stables Wedding Farm in Summer 2024 and everything was perfect from start to finish! Working with Deb and Mark on putting the day together was our highlight and we miss heading up to the venue for a catch-up and to discuss plans. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we often joked that we could have told Mark that we wanted a UFO landing on the marquee roof and he would have gone above and beyond to help out! On the day of our wedding our (thought to be) worst nightmare happened and it absolutely bucketed it down as guests arrived and during the ceremony. However, Deb, Mark and the team had worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly and we can honestly say the rain had no impact on the day. We didn't believe this would be the case but it was honestly true! The biggest compliment we had was a guest said "you have managed to hold the wedding that everybody wants to have but are too scared to plan". This wouldn't have been possible without such an amazing and flexible venue. We wanted a relaxed day full of fun and little of the usual tradition. The venue meant we could decorate as we wished and have any food we could possibly want. We would recommend the venue to anybody, whatever the style of wedding you are looking for. We can't imagine another venue ran by people who care as much about your day as Mark and Deb and this honestly makes all the difference!

As a wedding videographer, I wish every wedding I captured had a Victoria! Having someone like Victoria to go to with questions and check ins made the day run so much smoother than I’m used to! Victoria is the kind of person that is so on it as well and thinks of every little detail but is so creative and flexible in how she works to help and assist with whatever you need throughout the day. Not just for the couple but for the suppliers too! I would urge people to hire her and highly recommend Victoria as the lovely person she is and for the great services she offers!

My husband and I were doing a very DIY wedding in a village hall, and wanted something different to the dozens of weddings we’ve been to recently. But without Victoria behind the scenes it would have been utter chaos. She and her assistant were powerhouses on the day - getting stuff done so efficiently and smoothly that sometimes I barely even noticed that they’d moved/changed or updated things! That’s a sign of a great on the day coordinator! Victoria was also a very calming person to tie in with in the run up as she was so organised and thorough. I am an obsessively organised person, so helping me on my wedding day could have been someone’s idea of a nightmare as I can be pretty inflexible in my ideas, but Victoria was so willing to just go with my flow, whilst also bringing great ideas and gently nudging us on things we might have otherwise forgotten that made the day go more smoothly. We hired Victoria for the wedding day management for our wedding, and I can't say enough positive words. Even from the start during our intro call, to coordinating with vendors, to the final day wedding celebration, she exceeded our expectations. I was hesitant to hire someone for the day of coordination because I am a planner myself, but Victoria checked every box and she allowed me to unplug and really enjoy the day with my family and friends. Highly recommend her because of her organization skills, professionalism, and how pleasant she was to work with!

We hired Tor to help with our wedding in July and really cannot thank or recommend her enough. Our wedding was held at our family farm, and whilst this seemed like a great idea, we also had so many possibilities of things going wrong on the day. As soon as we had Tor’s input into the wedding, she gave us every bit of confidence that the day would run as beautifully as it did. From the week leading up to the wedding, all of our suppliers couldn’t believe how relaxed I was and this was definitely thanks to Tor. Tor was there at all hours to answer any questions, help me make decisions, and make suggestions that I definitely wouldn’t have thought of (without being annoying ha!). On the day of the wedding I was able to have such a lovely morning with the bridal party, and throughout the day knew everything was being taken care of which resulted in being able to actually enjoy our wedding day without any stress (which a lot of couples don’t get to do). Tor is such a lovely person and so easy to get on with, even if it wasn’t wedding chat we would still have a laugh.. we had so many comments from guests about how incredible our wedding was, how smooth the day went, and how fab Tor was behind the scenes. We have said from the start, hiring Tor was the best decision we made…we are also convinced she could plan a wedding on Mount Everest and it run smoothly. This company has exceeded my expectations and been absolutely incredible in every single aspect. I don’t leave reviews often, but credit where it’s due! EVERYONE was in awe, including the hall staff - they described the decor as ‘on a completely different level to anything done at the hall before’. Honestly, I was very nervous when looking for decorators and booking as there was no way to be sure. But Yousaf had really good communication with me from the beginning. He did everything to keep in touch with me and talk through everything with me every step of the way. It began with a consultation at their warehouse, I was shown all the options and even walked through their warehouse to see what they had. I wanted red and bold and regal/elegant theme. He regularly contacted me and sent ideas on whatsapp. Yousaf even sent me his own ideas of what could look good things which weren’t done before. I was regularly sent the package/set via email documents which had clear price through out, and exactly what I was paying for. I booked them for my baraat day at an english hall. Yousaf made effort to travel nearly 2 hours to visit the venue and measure everything and see what they could do. Everything was custom and made to measure. It was obvious that thought had been put into making decor for THAT hall rather than just a standard set that had been used in my hall before by previous decorators which always looked drowned out. They had the hall ready at the exact time that was promised (within about 3 hours from scratch!). My friends have even told me how much the team kept asking if they’re happy with what they’re doing, and consulting my friends through the wedding morning as they were setting up. My friends also told me that as the team were doing the walk way, they took care to even take their shoes off as they went on it so that it stays completely clean. Not a single piece of decor was moved or cleared up before I (bride) had exited the venue, as requested and promised. They team stayed at the venue and so patiently waited until the event was fully finished before moving anything. Everyone has praised the decor and it was worth every single penny that was invested. Majorly down due to the great communication that I received and how much thought and detail they put in. I have have added a few pictures of my wedding day for anyone else planning their wedding at the moment! 🥰

venue looks amazing and the team and owner are all extremely helpful and provide you with pretty much anything you would need. The food was amazing and everyone including myself was shocked at how good it was as it’s not your typical wedding/catering food. Will definitely use them again in the future as it’s nice to have someone you can trust. A big thank you to the owner and the amazing team present. Another thing to note is the experience the that comes with this service from the owner/team which will help your event/wedding run smoother as they can give the best advice so you don’t have to worry about anything and can sit back and enjoy the day.

Lovely litte place for functions like birthdays, the owners are great. Good food, although not cooked at site. But very clean and tidy. Nice decorative touches and car parking on sites till not fully renovated as they are still working, but everything was brand new.

I had my son's walimah here a few weeks ago. Shahnaz took care of us and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and was always available to answer questions regarding our booking. The venue was beautifully presented and my guests all commented on how delicious the food was. We asked for some dishes to be extra spicy which they complied with and the service provided by the waiters was excellent. They met all our requirements save for the flower wall which they promised us would be blue but this was a minor issue. We went the night before to drop some items off and staff were setting up. We had 400 guests and the venue comfortably seated our guests spaciously. We had fresh jalebi and kashmiri tea as extras which the guests enjoyed. My only criticism was that on the day my guests were not aware of the outside area and this could have been conveyed to them better as I was too busy to tell people and although it was announced on the speakers many guests didn't hear it. Everything else was perfect and my guests told me it was a very relaxed and enjoyable evening.
