5 star service from start to finish. All the girls at touch of charm are amazing! They did the decor & flowers for my wedding last month. I remember the initial meeting and feeling so over whelmed before going in about everything for the wedding. They were so lovely & have so much knowledge to pass on & help you make the right decisions for your wedding. I felt a weight had been lifted once we booked with them. Jayne who sorted my flowers is just amazing! She has a wicked sense of humour & is so easy to get along with. She also knows her stuff when it comes to flowers. Everything on the day went smoothly with the set up & delivery of flowers. The venue looked stunning!! I wouldn’t have changed a thing! We had so many compliments about the decor & flowers. Than you again to everyone at touch of charm decor/flowers!

Recently had the funeral of my late mother and were directed to Touch of Charm florists to arrange the flowers. We would initially like to say a big thank you to Jayne who was very helpful and caring at this very difficult time, she couldn't do enough for us. We had a very personalised service and as my mum loved line dancing, Jayne and the team arranged the flowers in my mums cowboy boots, which more than added to the occasion and complimented her cowboy hat which was dressed with a few small flowers and placed on top of the coffin. To say we were more than happy with flowers is an understatement, they were absolutely beautiful. We would highly recommend Touch of Charm florists for any occasion. Richard & Marney Parkin

Thank you Kelly & Team for creating such beautiful wedding decor for our August 2024 wedding! We used Touch of Charm to style our venue, as well as their light up dance floor for our evening. (Would highly recommend getting the light up dance floor - it really does stand out and light up the room and create a focus on the dance floor) Kelly is an expert at what she does and we pretty much told her what we did / did not like and let her work her magic! Our venue looked magical. Thanks once again, we would 10/10 recommend!

The biggest thank you to all the Grangefields team for making our wedding the most unbelievable day. Our guests were hugely complimentary regards to the hospitality and how incredible the food was. Oh Grangefields! This place was everything and more! We had the absolute best day! When a venue says don’t worry we will take care of it, you think okay that’s good, but when Grangfields say it, it’s absolutely true! Nothing was too much the day ran so smoothly. Each and every staff member was amazing! They all looked like they loved working there! Nothing was too much for them! A special shout out to Victoria and Tim, you guys made our day so much more special! Thank you so much for being apart of it! All of our guests were raving about this venue they couldn’t believe the beauty! And how much space everyone had. The fact that all the rooms are separate was just perfect! Such a hidden gem. This place is stunning. Attended here for a wedding and the vibes were immaculate. The events manager, staff, decor were all on point. I really enjoyed the wedding. The barn is so picturesque. Amazing scenes all around. The floor has under heat layer and it just feels so cozy. The reception/hall is so beautifully decorated. The kitchen has visible glass so you can see the fresh food being made. Would love to come back again.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to the team at the River Mill for making our day so special - we couldn't have asked for a dreamier venue and staff working so hard throughout the day. A particular shout out to Jane who went above and beyond throughout the entire process, she really has been such a big help and made the day run so smoothly. We had our wedding here last weekend and we were absolutely blown away by the service we received. We booked our wedding back in July and from then, we have had amazing support from the event co ordinators. Especially Rach and Laura! On the day, it was just perfect. Rach went above and beyond to support myself with my nerves she helped to set the room up and was a rock. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me with my day. The River Mill is an absolute gem to photograph. The riverside setting, the rustic charm, and all those gorgeous little details make it a dream venue. The light here is just magic, and the team is so friendly and organised—it’s always such a pleasure to capture weddings in this beautiful space.

Well we were just blown away!! We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better day or more perfect venue! Laura and the river mill team were nothing less than outstanding! From that very first phone call, the attention to detail, planning, service, helpfulness and professionalism really were second to none, many guests commented on how the food was the best food they’d ever known at a wedding and how beautiful the venue was, but the outstanding feature has to be the staff, they really do go above and beyond to make sure you have the most PERFECT day ever!!! This was my 3rd stay at Designate @ the gate. My first time was for a hen weekend (12 of us) post covid and we had the most amazing time. Party in the beach garden with great food and drinks. 2nd time with the other half, we had a lovely relaxing weekend and this time with my 2 daughters who loved the quirky/cosy left room. We enjoyed a pack lunch from Kirsty on our walk and ate at The Fishpond and The Remarkable Hare, both recommended. I’ll definitely be back for a 4th time. Love it here xx

Booked Designate at The Gate for my Mothers 90th birthday party. We also booked the three adjoining rooms for some of our family to stay at. Could not have booked a better venue. Kirsty and her partner were so accommodating and could not do enough to ensure the event was memorable! Went out of their way to help us in any way they could. Perfect venue for a family occasion and the outside area is fabulous as were the indoor facilities. The buffet provided by Kirsty was perfect with plenty of choice. The bar was well stocked and carried and extensive range of drinks. Everyone young and old loved the venue and the food . They also felt very welcomed by the hosts. We have organised many family events and this one could not be faulted in any way. 100% recommend!!

This was my venue from the minute I turned on the drive. Its just stunning. We managed to have great weather so married outside, the kids spent hours playing hide and seek in the gardens and football in the field. Every guest said how beautiful it was. The staff are all incredible, nothing was too much trouble, the food was 100% I will never forget this place or the team that helped put my dream wedding together. I'm just sad I only get to do it once.

We had our wedding at Shottle on 23.08.24 and it was the most special day. The house and gardens are beautiful, the staff were amazing and the day couldn’t have gone smoother. Our wedding coordinator was Holly and from the get go she was amazing at communicating with us, sorting any queries and helping us plan. I was quite stressed up till our meeting where Holly calmed all my anxieties and put me at ease, and on the day she made sure it all went smoothly! The food was gorgeous and we had compliments from everyone on the venue & the food. Every detail was thought of and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Thank you to the team at Shottle Hall!

Absolutely stunning venue that we stayed at while celebrating a friend's wedding. The only recommendation that we could make is that the venue could do with putting black out blinds in the family bedrooms as our little one woke up with the sunrise at 4am. But otherwise delicious food, beautiful scenery and wonderful experience.

Thank you for providing a memorable party for my daughter’s 21st. Disco, Kareoke and selfie booth. So professional, could not do enough to make our evening special. Took all the worry of needing to understand all the technology. I was going to just hire a Kareoke machine, I am so glad I didn’t. The night was just perfect. Would highly recommend!!

Had these for my wedding in November amazing came in the afternoon to set up I didn't even know they'd done that as they didn't disturb the wedding bfast very accommodating with the music. They contributed to me having an smazing wedding day. If I have any further events they would definitely be my first call. And what can I say about price they can't be beaten.

Very professional service and great DJ, everyone got up dancing. Very relaxed an easy going and took requests, I have had lots of compliments from friends and family telling me how smashing you were. A.S. Party set up our wedding decor, providing table centre pieces and chair decoration. They helped us pick what would look good and came in to set it all up before the wedding. They made the venue look even more incredible than it already did. They also supplied the DJ who was great; he really listened to what we wanted to play and kept the guests up and moving until closing time. We would really recommend them. Thank you guys.

Our Wedding Day was PERFECT, partly because we had Imagine Event's style it! They really listened to exactly what we wanted and it was just perfect. It looked amazing, we had massive artificial flowers and not one guest knew they wasn't real. They honestly looked amazing. Their replies are also so so fast and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I don't even know where to begin!! I was absoloutely stunned at how amazing Sophie and the team did on our wedding day. The decorations were beyond beautiful and you guys worked so hard and even in the hottest day on record!! I had no idea what I wanted when I first came to your studio and it's like you guys were in my head and created this vision that was perfect. Even the moongate (with the last minute alterations) was absoloutely amazing and I loved it even more than the original plan! Everyone was so impressed with how the venue was decorated. I cannot thank you guys enough for all your hard work!! ❤️

I used imagine event design for our wedding decor in March 2022, they made our venue look just as I described, they are super supportive even after so many emails of ideas, and they truly go above and beyond to get your vision to come to life. They came in and set up seamlessly we had zero stress on the day as they were so quick and professional. I recommend them to anyone who asks about our decor on the day and I won’t hesitate to use them again for an event in the future! Quiet is standard here and it's truly peaceful, there is a bar, restaurant on site, an indoor swimming pool and outdoor tennis facilities. The air is truly fresh due to the location and despite that it's remarkable close to Matlock and Bakewell. The log cabins are excellent, warm and clean and I would have no hesitation in recommending this place for a family break or tranquil retreat.
