Where do I even start with this incredible human?! Amanda is the kindest, most creative and inspirational wedding planner, stylist and coordinator. We were lucky enough to have Amanda involved in every aspect of our wedding and we are so thankful for her guidance and support. From our first initial emails, consultation meeting, final meetings and numerous messages (from me!), Amanda was nothing but helpful and supportive. On the day, it was a joy to have Amanda join my bridal prep in the morning, brining a sense of calm, style and humour. She ensured everything was on track and ensured that I was happy and prepared for when we moved to the venue. During the day, we had countless compliments about Amanda's efficiency and how friendly she was. Everything ran like clockwork, with no issues, and I am certain this was due to Superwoman Amanda. She also helped us to achieve the perfect champagne spray photo! The styling... Words fail me. Amanda took our ideas and colours and made it so much more. During our final design meeting, Amanda made detailed notes and offered suggestions for how to syle our venue. We were so confident in her abilities, we encouraged Amanda to do what she does best, and she did! Amanda created the classiest, cosiest, most elegant autumn vibes you could ever imagine. Our photographer, who had worked at the venue numerous other times, said it was the most beautiful she had ever seen it. I truly cannot recommend Amanda enough. She has a heart of gold and I feel so privaledge to have worked with such a creative and inspiring person. We hired Amanda for our Wedding in May 2024 as a wedding coordinator, and by far was probably the best decision we made during our planning. I honestly don’t know how our wedding would have taken place on the day without Amanda. Amanda set up all our props for our Wedding the day before / morning of, and then coordinated our day. Amanda really went above and beyond throughout the day, keeping the day on track and making sure it aligned to mine and my husband wishes. Her attention to detail was outstanding, and she really brought our vision to life. We honestly cannot say thank you enough and would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone getting married. Amanda was truly the MVP of our wedding! From the moment we started working with her, she brought a level of organisation, efficiency, and creativity that made everything run smoothly. Her friendly and approachable communication style kept us all on track in the planning stages, and her attention to detail ensured that every part of our day was exactly as we envisioned. Having access to her beautiful styling collection was a game-changer for the overall look, and she went above and beyond to bring it all together. Where to begin! Amanda really is one in a million. She helped plan our wedding and I don’t know what we would have done without her. Not only is she incredibly good at what she does and thinks of everything she is also a wonderful person. She’s calm, intuitive, supportive and thoughtful all whilst being amazingly efficient. From zoom calls to site visits to being on site days before the wedding, she goes above and beyond to make sure everything looks and runs as best as it can. Having Amanda was one of the best decisions we made - we couldn’t recommend her more and are so grateful for everything she did and helped us with.

Me and my partner, Donna, got married in September 2021 and we can honestly say we couldn't have got married without Laura and Jane's help! Up until meeting them, we found wedding planning stressful and not enjoyable but they were a breath of fresh air. They organised our diaries, booked our appointments, recommended services to use, helped us with flowers, designed and decorated our wedding venue and even tidied up the day after. These are 2 women who genuinely care about their clients and who want to ensure that each person gets the wedding that they want. Fox and Barker provided all the decorations for our wedding in August and made the venue look truly sensational. We were absolutely blown away when we saw our ceremony room and wedding breakfast room for the first time, and as we look back on our wedding photos, we still talk about how phenomenal it looked and how you created the perfect set up for our special day. Jane, we can't thank you and your team enough. You listened to all of our visions for our day and made it come alive. We hired Zest 4 Events & Catering to do the buffet lunch for an 80th birthday party. Helen and Natalie were very helpful in planning the event to provide plant-based and vegan dishes for some of our guests. The food as delivered was plentiful, very tasty and beautifully laid out. Our guests thought it was an excellent spread, particularly as some of it was accessible to those with dietary restrictions. Great value; great service. A pleasure doing business with them - highly recommended.

We just wanted to say a proper ‘thank you’ for the fabulous food that you provided for my Mum’s funeral refreshments at St Barnabas. Right from when I first contacted you, you have been quick to get back to me with answers to any questions I had, and it definitely felt as though nothing was too much trouble. We had so many comments about how delicious the food was, and in particular, those who needed gluten-free/vegan were most impressed by the selection and the taste! We will definitely be recommending you to friends, and look forward to using Zest again the future. Thank you, again, for making a hard day much easier.

Highly highly recommend!! We engaged Zest for catering for our small private house wedding. Both for afternoon tea in the afternoon and then an evening three course meal. In both aspects they surpassed our expectations and offered the perfect culinary solution and experience. High quality food, prepared perfectly and executed to the highest standard. Wonderful communication, flexibility, none intrusive, trustworthy and respectful company, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thankyou guys, you made us foodies very happy!

Helen and Natalie were so flexible and accommodating throughout the process, adapting to the needs of our budget, the venue, our finance processes and dietary requirements. Well we were just blown away!! We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better day or more perfect venue! Laura and the river mill team were nothing less than outstanding! From that very first phone call, the attention to detail, planning, service, helpfulness and professionalism really were second to none, many guests commented on how the food was the best food they’d ever known at a wedding and how beautiful the venue was, but the outstanding feature has to be the staff, they really do go above and beyond to make sure you have the most PERFECT day ever!!! The River Mill have been fantastic from the start of our wedding planning, through to the big day! Laura and the team were so organised and worked so hard to deliver our special moments for us. The venue speaks for itself and is an ideal setting/ location for a relaxed rustic look wedding. However, the real stars are the organisers (Laura) and the catering team who make the moments special and are personable and friendly and helped us achieve our dream wedding! Would not hesitate to recommend this venue.

We had our wedding here last weekend and we were absolutely blown away by the service we received. We booked our wedding back in July and from then, we have had amazing support from the event co ordinators. Especially Rach and Laura! On the day, it was just perfect. Rach went above and beyond to support myself with my nerves she helped to set the room up and was a rock. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me with my day. The venue is stunning, I hope to come back soon to reminisce about our special day. Thank you again to everyone at the River Mill for making our day so special!

The River Mill is an absolute gem to photograph. The riverside setting, the rustic charm, and all those gorgeous little details make it a dream venue. The light here is just magic, and the team is so friendly and organised—it’s always such a pleasure to capture weddings in this beautiful space.

This was my venue from the minute I turned on the drive. Its just stunning. We managed to have great weather so married outside, the kids spent hours playing hide and seek in the gardens and football in the field. Every guest said how beautiful it was. The staff are all incredible, nothing was too much trouble, the food was 100% I will never forget this place or the team that helped put my dream wedding together. I'm just sad I only get to do it once.

Absolutely stunning venue that we stayed at while celebrating a friend's wedding. The only recommendation that we could make is that the venue could do with putting black out blinds in the family bedrooms as our little one woke up with the sunrise at 4am. But otherwise delicious food, beautiful scenery and wonderful experience.

We had our wedding at Shottle on 23.08.24 and it was the most special day. The house and gardens are beautiful, the staff were amazing and the day couldn’t have gone smoother. Our wedding coordinator was Holly and from the get go she was amazing at communicating with us, sorting any queries and helping us plan. I was quite stressed up till our meeting where Holly calmed all my anxieties and put me at ease, and on the day she made sure it all went smoothly! The food was gorgeous and we had compliments from everyone on the venue & the food. Every detail was thought of and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Thank you to the team at Shottle Hall!

This was my 3rd stay at Designate @ the gate. My first time was for a hen weekend (12 of us) post covid and we had the most amazing time. Party in the beach garden with great food and drinks. 2nd time with the other half, we had a lovely relaxing weekend and this time with my 2 daughters who loved the quirky/cosy left room. We enjoyed a pack lunch from Kirsty on our walk and ate at The Fishpond and The Remarkable Hare, both recommended. I’ll definitely be back for a 4th time. Love it here xx

Booked Designate at The Gate for my Mothers 90th birthday party. We also booked the three adjoining rooms for some of our family to stay at. Could not have booked a better venue. Kirsty and her partner were so accommodating and could not do enough to ensure the event was memorable! Went out of their way to help us in any way they could. Perfect venue for a family occasion and the outside area is fabulous as were the indoor facilities. The buffet provided by Kirsty was perfect with plenty of choice. The bar was well stocked and carried and extensive range of drinks. Everyone young and old loved the venue and the food . They also felt very welcomed by the hosts. We have organised many family events and this one could not be faulted in any way. 100% recommend!!

Had these for my wedding in November amazing came in the afternoon to set up I didn't even know they'd done that as they didn't disturb the wedding bfast very accommodating with the music. They contributed to me having an smazing wedding day. If I have any further events they would definitely be my first call. And what can I say about price they can't be beaten.

Thank you for providing a memorable party for my daughter’s 21st. Disco, Kareoke and selfie booth. So professional, could not do enough to make our evening special. Took all the worry of needing to understand all the technology. I was going to just hire a Kareoke machine, I am so glad I didn’t. The night was just perfect. Would highly recommend!!

I would like to say a huge thank you to A S Party for making my Daughters wedding at the Fox and Goose on the 8th September very special, we had a couple of last minute changes for the evening, and they saved the day by finding, and playing a couple of very specific and slightly obscure songs, they also provided the disco for the evening which went well. I would highly recommend the Ice Cream bike, along with popcorn and candy floss, this went down extremely well with our guests. Excellent service very highly recommended.

A.S. Party set up our wedding decor, providing table centre pieces and chair decoration. They helped us pick what would look good and came in to set it all up before the wedding. They made the venue look even more incredible than it already did. They also supplied the DJ who was great; he really listened to what we wanted to play and kept the guests up and moving until closing time. We would really recommend them. Thank you guys.

Our Wedding Day was PERFECT, partly because we had Imagine Event's style it! They really listened to exactly what we wanted and it was just perfect. It looked amazing, we had massive artificial flowers and not one guest knew they wasn't real. They honestly looked amazing. Their replies are also so so fast and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I used imagine event design for our wedding decor in March 2022, they made our venue look just as I described, they are super supportive even after so many emails of ideas, and they truly go above and beyond to get your vision to come to life. They came in and set up seamlessly we had zero stress on the day as they were so quick and professional. Sophie and the team went above and beyond for our beautiful wedding day. I changed my mind multiple times with colour, decor and a huge delay due to Covid was partly the cause for my decision changes. Regardless, nothing was too much for Sophie and the team, they were always professional and friendly, even on the night before when I realised I had missed off the order chair seat robes for the ceremony chairs and had only accounted for the wedding breakfast chairs, Sophie saw how upset and stressed I was and sent a member of staff the following day (wedding day) to arrange this for us at no extra cost which was amazing.
