Excellent service.My elderly Greyhound needed dental work done, and Greyhounds can be at increased risk with anaesthesia. Edit March 2024 - I wanted to extend my review following recent months. It's mainly to say a HUGE thank you to Keith, Bobby, Gemma, Georgia, Helen, Amber and everyone at Hillside for caring for Fudge. He's now crossed the rainbow bridge but during the weeks-months when Fudge's health started to decline he got nothing less than the best care and support from you. Right until his last breath your empathy helped me get through that horrible day when he left me. I'm just relief you're my boys' vets and I'll be eternally grateful for this. Feb 2023- Fudge and Oreo love going to Hillside, from the moment we arrive at the carpark they're pulling me to get in. The reception staff and nurses are so friendly and make a huge fuss which they just love and of course its all the treats...ssshhh don't tell everyone but you need to catch Amber or Beccie on duty ☺️ Firstly it's reassuring to know that the vet seeing you is familiar with the case if it's been ongoing. All vets are amazing. Oreo who needs regular vet visits due to multiple issues sees Bobby or Keith most of the time but soon you get to know them all. They're kind and empathetic. Very friendly and professional. Problems are explained, options and relevant consequences or outcomes discussed. Very recently Fudge had a seizure later in the evening, we rang them to them aware of the emergency, Gemma and Chris made sure they were ready to see him and examine him straight away. Gemma helped me get Fudge, Lab of 32k, out of the car, he was just coming out of the seizure so was very disoriented and Gemma was very caring and loving with him. I really couldn't be happier with Hillside, nothing is a bother. Prescriptions are dispensed quickly, insurance admin is done promptly. Always discussing everything with me and taking their time. Really the best vet practice 🐾❤️

I’ve lost count of the years we’ve been with Hillside Vets. Started with our rabbit Bob who sadly had to have his life ended. Now they care for Trevor our Jack Russell X who is soon to be 13 and Daisy our Chihuahua who is 6. All the staff are kind, loving & courteous and that’s just the owners! 😂 You can tell they love animals and even though Trevor is nervous they are so kind and reassure them both so well. I would absolutely recommend Hillside. They may not be the cheapest but the care and attention they give to both pet and owner is sublime. So thank you Hillside for all that you do for my pets & for all that come your way. You are all AMAZING! 🤩 Merry furry Christmas 🎅 🎄 🎁 xxxxx❤️

Hillside Vets have been absolutely fantastic so far with our puppy. We first took her there at 13wks, and have been there for several visits since then as part of their brilliant Pet Plan. Our pup loves coming here and can't get our of the car fast enough! The staff give so much love and attention to our little girl, and we feel really at ease and confident in using their services for many years to come. The staff are knowledgeable, caring, warm, and just can't give enough every time, no matter how big or small our query may be. Their social media team is also amazing and we love seeing the behind-the-scenes on their Facebook posts! What a fantastic local vet clinic with such a great team.

Have just been to this vet for the 1st time with my kittens. The amazing vet had both kittens so relaxed. Darla had a bad start to life but sang her way through her visit. As for Drusilla she was her ever demanding self, forcing headbutt's and treats. The kitten pack is amazing with a little teddy. The calming towel provided is a great touch and works a dream. I have found this vet to be good value for money. We were not rushed through our appointment and staff members show the love they have for animals.

Always an enjoyable experience for my 4 year old Jack Russell despite her unfortunately having a few trips lately. They referred me to an incredible surgeon for TPLO and now after recovery my 4 year old can live a full and happy life. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and so easy to work with in stressful times.

Recently took my senior dog to the vets and the level of care he was given was second to none. The vet was lovely, helped keep things cost effective and was very complimentary of my dog and his friendliness. My dog was never once stressed about any of the tests. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful practice. All the staff are brilliant - from reception through to vet they are attentive, caring and straightforward. There’s an option for a VIP pet club which gives good savings on vaccinations, medications and treatments. There’s a good range of appointment choices and the emergency response we’ve received in the past has been second to none. Pricing is clear and any queries are clearly explained. Parking at the Kinson branch can be tricky if you need to drive as the car park is used by other businesses. However, there is free on street parking in several roads nearby. Thank you Team Aniwell!

Let's be honest, no-one likes to go to the vets, but if i had to go to Lynwood every week for the rest of my life, i wouldn't be too upset. Sounds weird but let me explain: The team here are fantastic. The phone is answered promptly, receptionists are polite and will do everything they can to accomodate you. They deal with insurance paperwork quickly and take a lot of stress away from the process. They'll strike up a conversation while you wait but will equally respect your space. The vets and nurses will answer all your questions and be upfront with you about costs associated with your options. They all have a great sense of humour (where appropriate) and take the time to make sure you understand everything. Emily in particular is a delight and i trust her implicitly to do the right thing for my pet. The waiting room has lots of useful information posters and separate waiting areas for cats and dogs if needed and there's always parking. They also house the emergency vet clinic so i know i'm covered no matter what happens.

Phoned the emergency vet as I was very concerned about my puppy. Lynwood ate the emergency vet and they agreed to see me immediately. My puppy made a miraculous recovery within a few minutes of being with the vet. They were very kind and did not charge me for the visit. Have had dealings with Lynwood over the years. I just wanted to say how absolutely amazing this practice is! But particularly Nurse Leanne who my spaniel Darla absolutely adores! Darla ended up needing to come in for bandage changes every few days which she wasn’t keen on at first, but after meeting Leanne she went from trying to pull me out the door, to being the wiggliest spaniel ever - excited to see the nurse for her checkups! You made the whole experience great, thank you!

Took my kitten in to get a check up and have her weighed. There was no charge and everyone was so helpful. The nurses all had a cuddle (not with me) and you can tell that they really care about the animals here. Booked in again for the week after for shots.

Needed to use Cedar as an out of hours emergency for our dog who took a turn for the worst over night. From Alice on reception to Katherine the vet, I cannot thank either of them enough for how professional, caring and empathetic both of them were from start to finish. My experience with vets over the years hasn’t been great however these guys have restored faith. Molly took a turn for the worst over night and needed to see a vet ASAP. We got her into Cedar where she was seen by Katherine who carried out a thorough examination and gave us all our opinions, with either starting treatment to get some more time with our Molly of 16 years and to see how she went or discussing options of putting her to sleep. There was no pressure on options, just pure professionalism and honesty. Sadly it was in Mollys best interests to be put to sleep. After this was carried out I looked to settle the bill before leaving and was told to sort this at a later date/time. A lovely gesture during a sad and upsetting time. Highly recommended! Again, a big thank you to the Cedar team!

Rosebud is on the mend after having major surgery, mark rosebuds vet has visited at home since to make sure that she is doing well, the staff have all gone about and beyond to make sure rosebud was well cared for, highly recommend this veteran practice, truly care about our loved ones 🐶💕

Our Tommy stuck a spikelet up his nose as we were queuing to get on the ferry back to France. We arrived at the clinic and everyone was absolutely superb with him and with us. Tommy is quite an excitable young dog and can be snappy when scared. No one judged him or us for it. They got his spikelet out and gave us clear instructions that they adapted to our ferry journey the next day. We are truly happy to have had our Tommy sorted by this team of very helpful people. This veterinary practice is not my usual vets (we are registered with one about 15 miles from home) but I needed my 13 year old dog to be seen quickly so took her locally to Vets4Pets Holes Bay. We saw a vet named Dan (NOT the owner, another Dan) who was absolutely brilliant. Very sadly, our dog was PTS but Dan was brilliant, before, during and after. We spoke at length, he didn’t rush me, time wasn’t an issue, he understood my concerns, he listened and advised with compassion. Absolutely brilliant vet. So on this one occasion we needed this surgery , the vet we saw was exemplary. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Vicky Effemy the vet nurse and also the receptionist (don’t know her name) I spoke to that morning, were incredibly comforting for which I am very grateful.

Dan Makin is an exceptional vet, we wont go anywhere else - Max our cat has been described as well behaved and easy to handle by Dan - but this is down to Dan understanding Max and his needs because he is not like this with other vets we have used prior to moving to Dorset. Max is a large cat nearly 14 years old and knows who he likes and who he doesnt like but when Dan holds Max in his arms, Max is calm and I have never seen a vet handle Max in this way which re assures me that Max is happy during and after any treatment. Dan and his team care go the extra mile for the animals and owners, we are not local to Poole about a 30 minute drive from the practice but we wont go any where else for his treatment and care. Thank you Dan for being so caring to Max and to his fussy Mum - you are so understanding and exceptional in your role of being a Vet - we are lucky to have you as our vet

Love spring corner, have been bringing our cats here for years, and even through some tough visits, the whole team has been extremely welcoming, empathetic, and showing real care and concern for animal and owner. Some very slight downsides are a lack of seating in the waiting area, and it can get really busy and noisey around the reception area, especially for later in the day appointments so maybe avoid these times if you have a shy or nervous pet. Also, the phone lines can get very busy, be patient, as the desk team is working really hard to help as many people as the can. That aside, we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Our puppy Chase had an overnight stay at Stokewood vets and I cannot tell you how thankful I am for all the wonderful staff, especially Adrian. It is a privilege to have Chase at Stokewood. All of you did your best for him and provided high quality care and love for our Chase and I cannot thank you enough for that. These challenging times are hard for everyone but I am so appreciative for all of the staff members as it is no different for all of you doing your day to day job at the very best you can for all the pets that come your way. So thank you. I am so glad we have gone with this vets and from the bottom of my heart am so pleased with the care you gave my puppy and will forever be thankful for it. It is so surreal with everything going on but for these amazing staff members it is no different seeing as they are still working. I am so grateful their are people like all of you in these world.
