Aidan has treated several of my pets over the years, always with genuine care and compassion. His knowledge and expertise is outstanding, he is friendly and kind, yet professional. Aidan treated my 48kg Hovawart dog for T-Cell Lymphoma and we saw him weekly for chemotherapy. My dog was always pleased to see him, despite the needles and drugs, and greeted Aidan with wet kisses at every opportunity. My dog was a great judge of character, so that has to be the sign of a good vet! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ferndown Family Vets. The furry members of your family will be in the safest of hands, that's for sure.

I recently took my dog, Max, to Ferndown Family Vets, and I am beyond impressed with the care and attention we received. Max is usually very anxious, especially around new people and in unfamiliar environments, but the team at Ferndown Family Vets made a world of difference. When we arrived, we waited outside to help Max stay calm. The staff were incredibly understanding and accommodating, allowing us to avoid the waiting area. Shortly after, a friendly team member came out to greet Max. They approached him slowly and gently, which really helped to put him at ease. The clinic itself has a calm and soothing atmosphere, which further helped Max relax once we went inside. Aidan and the Team were fantastic. They took the time to approach Max with patience and kindness, ensuring he felt safe and secure. Their compassionate approach was evident throughout the entire visit, and they even had some treats on hand to help build Max’s confidence and trust. During the examination, Aidan explained everything in detail and made sure I understood each step of the process. Their dedication to providing a stress-free experience was truly remarkable. They also gave us some great tips on how to manage Max’s anxiety during future visits. I highly recommend Ferndown Family Vets to anyone looking for a veterinary practice that prioritizes a stress-free environment. Max and I are so grateful for the exceptional care we received. Thank you, Ferndown Family Vets!

Have used Natterjacks Vets Bournemouth for many years now. Really great vets. Staff are friendly and helpful. Took our two cats Lily and Honey recently for their yearly health check and vaccinations. All went well although Lily had a little accident in her carrier on the way there bless her. The lovely vet I think her name is Katie was so good about it and cleaned her up. She was lovely and gave them a good check over. Lily has some gum disease and Katie recommend a toothpaste for her. Honey was a bit naughty which is unusual for as normally she is brilliant at the vets. Katie was so good with her and patient. Would recommend this place although I think they are fully booked I'm not surprised as they have a good reputation.

We have been visiting Natterjacks for years with our pooch. Fortunately for us, we don't have to visit very often as our dog is strong and healthy but when we do, we always find them to be professional, kind and most of all caring. Our last visit was for annual vaccinations, our appointment was on time, our pooch was put at ease and didn't appear to realise he'd had an injection. I can't recommend Natterjacks enough, a brilliant Vets

I've been a customer of Natterjacks since 2012 with my first greyhound. In the years since I've taken not only my own dogs there but many others for friends and family. The practice is well organised and well staffed with huge knowledge in the vets, nurses, and assistant. They retain the 'family' feel from the early days and their empathy for you and your pet is first class, with follow up calls for your pet's wellbeing and progress after treatment. They keep up to date with the best of the new treatments ie K-lazer and medication for the best outcomes. Will always highly recommend Natterjacks

Unfortunately we had to say our last goodbyes to our elderly pug on Monday. After a rapid decline in health over the weekend, I was offered an emergency appointment only 2 hours after I phoned. My vet was Louise. She assessed the situation and ran through all of our options in order to help our loyal companion. We had to come to the decision when we got home that the kindest option for Elsie was to let her go. There are no words that will express the gratitude that I have for Louise, for making what was the hardest day of my life so far, bearable. She made it so peaceful, so calm and managed to make it a comforting experience all whilst validating our decision and emotions. By far the best vet I have ever dealt with over the years and I will always look back on this experience and say “Thankyou Louise” and I am sure that Elsie is out there somewhere equally grateful for making her last few moments so tranquil. Thankyou. Thankyou. Thankyou.

I first went to St Mary’s in 2012 with my cat who needed surgery following a car accident, the care from David and the team was second to none and I’m happy to say he’s still living life to the full. Fast forward 12 years, I recently had one of my cats put to sleep here and the care and compassion David showed me and my cat was so appreciated as I was heartbroken to lose my boy. Today I returned with my Labrador for his vaccination and check up and again, David shows such a care for animals and tops it all off with a gravy bone - for the dog not me. Also to the reception team for their kindness to me this month. I always feel the care and respect my animals receive is fantastic, thank you.

When we met Alba (surgeon) and her assistant, I was super impressed by how polite and thorough they were. I feel more than reassured that she will carry out the surgery on my hound to a high standard. I will report back after this is done shortly. The practice has plenty of parking, along with a number of disabled bays. The appearance of the practice is maintained to a high standard. Oh, and I nearly forgot there is a free tea and coffee bar with biscuits available 😋

Recently took my cat here after a referral from my vet. My cat looked ok and was eating and my vet picked up an irregular heartbeat. The day I took him I was not expecting to be told he either needs putting to sleep that day or a procedure to help him as it was worse than we thought. We chose the procedure. Alice the Specialist was lovely and talked me through everything throughout the whole process and other members of staff I saw were also friendly and helpful. I now have my precious boy back thanks to Alice and her team so can't thank them enough for giving me more time with my little boy.

Went in today with my beloved doggy; Roanne couldn't have been kinder, more attentive and thorough. So grateful we have Janine and Roanne on our doorstep - they are both wonderful vets, highly skilled and empathic. I normally hate leaving my doggies at the vets but when the other one was ill last year I was relieved to have Janine there to support us and feel 100% confident leaving my dogs at this practice. Vets Now Bournemouth

Station Rd, Wimborne Minster, Bournemouth, Wimborne BH21 1RQ, UK | Veterinary Care
P: 01202 073858

Rating: 4.5 (572) Price Level:

My 15 year old cat, who we already knew had an ongoing illness, suddenly became much worse today. Being a Sunday and tomorrow Bank Holiday Monday, I was referred to Bournemouth/Wimborne “Vets Now” Emergency Hospital. They were wonderful! Yes, they were busy with many incoming emergencies but that was to be expected. After a while we were seen by an extremely compassionate vet who made a examination of Bamboo and came to the same conclusion, euthanasia was needed to avoid any further suffering. The whole process was explained clearly and without fuss which I appreciated. Medication was prepared and we proceeded to let Boo-cat go gently and peacefully to sleep. I put all future arrangements in the vets hands, as individual cremation and return of his ashes could be arranged at the same time. When you first take on responsibility for the life of an animal you hope for fun and happiness together for many years. The happiness you gain from their companionship and trust has to be repaid at the end of life too, by being aware of their pain and giving them a peaceful end to a life well lived. A huge “Thank You” to everyone at ‘Vets Now’ Wimborne this evening, who cared so well for me and for my lovely black cat who was such a good boy for so long. Good memories Bamboo. Be at peace xx

If you’re ever worried about your pet out of hours this is the place to take them. Receptionist was so patient and lovely with me, as I was crying over the phone. Upon arrival she was so nice and understood that our staffy Izzy was nervous of dogs and arranged for the vet to collect us from the car. The vet took decisive action and was upfront and totally honest about costs, chances of survival and what would be best for us. He gave our staffy a dose of steroids that no doubt got her through the weekend ready for our usual vets on Monday morning. She has since been diagnosed with immune-mediated hemolytic anemia, and she is incredibly poorly. We’re still not sure if she will pull through, but the vet was also very honest about a blood transfusion and the cost of at least £5000. He put our minds at rest in that we are doing everything we can and he saved her little life over that weekend for sure. The charge was very reasonable, which was on a Sunday with steroids, antibiotics and anti sickness. So so glad we took a chance on them. Thank you so much and thank you for being human, we have found other vets, especially emergency ones quite the opposite.

Emergency out-of-hours service. Staff lovely and immediately took my dog to examine and then informed us of possible causes. To be truthful we thought we had lost her! Clean environment. Just one opinion, our dog was not insured and final bill was horrendous after a 12 hour stay overnight. Next day we picked her up to take to our normal Vets. I know you cannot put a price on your animal's health but can understand why so many people dump pets as they can't afford the cost of Veterinary fees nor the insurance. Thank goodness for credit cards but we will be paying for this treatment for the next year or so.

Always came back chilled and never had a stressful vets trip. I now take my little rescue Bluey here, and after another great and easy trip today, I’ve got a very chilled cat at home! All the team are so lovely and accommodating and Always very welcoming and friendly; I couldn’t fault them at all. Mark especially goes above and beyond to help our furry friends. He even found some fascinating information about my cat’s heterochromia, and helped me with finding her a good sunblock for her white ears and nose in the summer months. Having recently moved to the area, it was so lovely that my dog was at ease in the surgery and was attended to in such a way he remained a wagging all the way through our visit, he wasn’t stressed at all, which was a great improvement from our previous vets. A happy dog makes a happy owner, thanks to all the staff involved. Would definitely recommend to others.

Love spring corner, have been bringing our cats here for years, and even through some tough visits, the whole team has been extremely welcoming, empathetic, and showing real care and concern for animal and owner. Some very slight downsides are a lack of seating in the waiting area, and it can get really busy and noisey around the reception area, especially for later in the day appointments so maybe avoid these times if you have a shy or nervous pet. Also, the phone lines can get very busy, be patient, as the desk team is working really hard to help as many people as the can. That aside, we wouldn't go anywhere else.
