Emily has really helped my daughter with her french GCSE preparation. Distance learning can be difficult but the way Emily approaches the lessons means that each lesson is effective but also interesting for my daughter. Her confidence with french has grown considerably

Emily is a fantastic language tutor. She has been teaching our 7 year old french for little over a year, and now Wednesday afternoons is our child’s favourite activity of the week! Emily is very enthusiastic and from our experience great with younger children. We would highly recommend this service for any parents looking to further / introduce their children to languages.

Emily is by far the best tutor we have ever had. She was so focussed on what my son needed for his GCSE syllabus, and always so supportive and encouraging. This gave him the confidence he needed, especially for the oral exam. Her sessions with him were well thought-out and really helped to boost his progress. He was very dispirited when he started with Emily, but she built him up in such a brilliant way. Emily’s fantastic teaching increased his final result by at least two grades!

Elliot has been a huge help to my children sitting their GCSE sciences. He is engaging in all aspects, the kids love him and find his teaching style hugely beneficial. He is also so helpful with revision techniques. I cannot recommend Elliot more highly.

I can’t recommend Genius Tutoring Services enough. I needed a tutor for my son’s A’level RE as he was having difficulty formulating his essays. Elliott searched around and found the perfect tutor, Anna Bodziony. She was kind and patient and boosted my son’s confidence no end. He was just scraping a C grade but with Anna’s help, achieved a B. My daughter had a poor start to Triple Science GCSE, her teacher was newly qualified and sacked by the end of Year 10. So, come Year 11, there was a lot of ground to cover. Elliott was recommended by a colleague. From the very first Zoom meeting, he has been exceptional. Immediately he identified Nell’s gaps, strengths and weaknesses and was able to deliver engaging, coherent and meaningful sessions to meet her needs and help her make progress. He has excellent subject knowledge, is super organised, encouraging and supportive. His delivery is warm and enthusiastic…Nell didn’t once complain about having a session with him (a miracle), her confidence grew and dare I say it, she even looked forward to his sessions! Elliott kept me in the loop regarding next steps for Nell and emailed exam papers and advice as her exams approached. Whatever grades Nell achieves will be largely down to Elliott. My only regret is we didn’t find him sooner.

Bénédicte is patient, professional and supports his development. Initially I was wondering how a young child could learn a new language but Bénédicte is able to help familiarise him with different sounds and words. She is very patient and supportive. We are both very happy with these lessons!

I am highly impressed by Kumon Addlestone. My six year old son has been studying English with the centre for less than a year and his progress has been phenomenal - particularly his handwriting and reading. Cara, the manager, is attentive and conscientious. Following an initial discussion with myself, she assessed my son and picked up very quickly his strengths/weaknesses and tailored the starting point of the scheme to him. Since then she, and her team, have kept a close eye on him, reporting to us when they feel he is ready to progress up a level and supporting him with a calm and highly effective style. My wife and I are both trained teachers and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Kumon and, in particular, the Addlestone franchise to any parent who wants to support their child's English skills. Kumon has been invaluable for my daughters education giving her confidence as well as improving her knowledge of both English & Maths. With her learning disabilities the learning style really suited and Cara worked with us to find the right pace for her to manage and always ensured that she was comfortable and understood what she was doing before progressing. David tutored both my son and daughter who struggled with maths. He adapted his teaching to meet the learning needs of both children, he was patient, explained everything, made the lessons as fun as possible and as a result both passed their GCSE math.

They’ve always liked the way he uses the iPad so they can write on the screen and he sets useful homework to practice what they learn each week, if you want that. We are really happy with David’s support.

I was the first child David ever tutored, I cannot express the gratitude I have for this man. Not only did he figure out how my brain worked and tailor our lessons to help me grasps concepts, breaking things down in ways I could understand, he also helped figure out how to motivate me. I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again.
