Gavin is an excellent tutor. He helped my son prepare for English 11+ exams. Gavin is very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He engaged really well with my son and I felt that my son progressed very well under his guidance. Gavin also takes time to have a discussion with parents after each tutoring session, which I found very helpful. I would definitely recommend Gavin to anyone looking for 11+ tutoring

We would thoroughly recommend Gavin as a tutor. He helped to prepare our son in a relatively short period of time for the 10+. We are pleased to say that our son was offered a place at our first choice of school. Gavin is an experienced tutor and is able to focus on identifying and plugging gaps as well as imparting useful exam techniques. Our child enjoyed his sessions with Gavin and, more importantly, Gavin was able to keep our child engaged and focussed on his lesson. Gavin's positivity and encouragement is to be commended and he was always happy to share feedback with the parents on progress rather than rushing straight out of the door. My son really struggles with Maths so I am very happy that he really enjoys attending his sessions with Komal. The classes have really helped with his confidence and he says Komal helps me understand maths and explains at a slower pace than in school. I cannot thank her enough and we are so glad we found her! Having decided we would like the help of a tutor for our daughter for her GCSEs we were a little lost, but thankfully found Tahir! He is a lovely, calm and patient tutor who on a 1 to 1 basis was excellent our daughter. I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again. All-over, I'm so happy with the tuition provider.

My daughter loves her weekly maths session with Celia and it is great to see how much her confidence in maths has grown in a short period of time. My daughter came to NumberWorks Surbiton saying she hated maths, because she found maths very difficult to follow at school and thought she couldn't do it. However two terms in and she loves NumberWorks so much that she's asked me if she can carry on attending next year, even if I don't think she needs to! At NumberWorks she has been able to work at her own pace, with help, support and encouragement whenever she needs it, and consequently both her understanding and her confidence have grown significantly. Celia is great at making sure what she's working on stretches her just the right amount so she is learning and progressing but it also feels manageable for her - she always comes out with a smile on her face and feeling proud of herself.

From the very first trial session with Celia, my son loved his time with NumberWorksnWords and always looked forward to going. Initially, we enrolled for both maths and English to help him gain confidence with his learning whilst continuing to challenge him. After a few months he felt more confident in himself and wanted to sit the 11+ exams. Celia and her team make learning fun in a relaxed environment. We especially loved seeing and hearing about his progress regularly. My son is now in Yr6 and will be starting his secondary life in a local grammar school!

I cannot recommend Kip McGrath Epsom enough. My daughter was taught by Steve who is a brilliant teacher. The structure used is perfect for children preparing for the 11+ as the work is computer based and tests a wide range of areas within the curriculum. If a child is finding an area tricky this is easily identified and the teacher provides support and further questions are the set in that area to consolidate the learning. The way the exercises are structured is dynamic in how subjects should be taught. My daughter genuinely looked forward to classes and her results substantially improved after starting Kip. They also offer a reward system so the more work you complete, the more points you get which equals prizes! My daughter has just completed the 11+ and her Kip lessons have been invaluable. I highly recommend Steve, Emma and the team at Kip McGrath Epsom.
