Kirujan is by far the most effective tutor we have ever had (and we had quite a few). Bright, professional, kind and attentive, Kiru made sure that our son arrived confident and well prepared to the entry tests of a selective and prestigious independent school in Cambridge (Y9). Our son passed the tests with flying colours and this is certainly also thanks to Kiru’s targeted teaching and positive approach. Natalie has been a brilliant maths tutor to our daughter over this academic year. Natalie has a very calm, warm manner and takes time to plan engaging and well-paced lessons. Natalie took time to set manageable homework tasks and gave helpful feedback on my daughter’s progress and areas to focus on. My daughter never complained about logging in to online lessons with Natalie and definitely benefitted from Natalie’s patience and interactive ideas. Natalie’s experience as a class teacher meant that I was confident that the lessons were focussed on the curriculum yet adapted to an appropriate level. I would definitely recommend Natalie!

Elizabeth (Lizzy) has been a wonderful support for our son who was really struggling in a traditional school setting. His confidence was low and desire to learn was adversely affected. After being advised by a local primary school teacher in the North West of the UK, I contacted Owl Tutors for their services for my daughter as she had secondary school examinations. From the offset, it was clear that each of our goals were in synergy as they dealt with Gabrielle as an individual with her specific needs. They quickly matched her up with a tutor who, in a short period of time got my daughter up to the required standard to pass all 3 of her examinations. Karen was a wonderful tutor for our son Edward during an emergency period of EOTAS. She really met him where he was with different elements of his learning and helped start to address the very significant gaps arising from the poor educational standard at his previous SEN school, slowly building his confidence and self-belief. Her gentle but determined style helped him start his recovery from a period of school trauma and help ease his anxiety. Karen adapted her approach to suit, motivate and inspire him. My daughter had a poor start to Triple Science GCSE, her teacher was newly qualified and sacked by the end of Year 10. So, come Year 11, there was a lot of ground to cover. Elliott was recommended by a colleague. From the very first Zoom meeting, he has been exceptional. Immediately he identified Nell’s gaps, strengths and weaknesses and was able to deliver engaging, coherent and meaningful sessions to meet her needs and help her make progress. He has excellent subject knowledge, is super organised, encouraging and supportive. His delivery is warm and enthusiastic…Nell didn’t once complain about having a session with him (a miracle), her confidence grew and dare I say it, she even looked forward to his sessions! Elliott kept me in the loop regarding next steps for Nell and emailed exam papers and advice as her exams approached. Whatever grades Nell achieves will be largely down to Elliott. My only regret is we didn’t find him sooner.

My son was struggling with A Level Chemistry having only got a C in his mocks. He needed an A to get into UCL to study medicine. We needed a tutor to improve my son’s exam technique and get him enjoying chemistry again. Seth was incredible at breaking concepts down and really helping him understand and then apply his knowledge correctly. My son got his A and is off to UCL this September. I can’t recommend Genius Tutoring Services enough. I needed a tutor for my son’s A’level RE as he was having difficulty formulating his essays. Elliott searched around and found the perfect tutor, Anna Bodziony. She was kind and patient and boosted my son’s confidence no end. He was just scraping a C grade but with Anna’s help, achieved a B. He’s now off to Exeter University to study Computer Science. Thank you Elliott Hind for all your help.

We have been extremely satisfied with Simply Tutored in all aspects. From our initial contact and communication with them to explore their 11+ tutoring, we have been nothing but impressed with their punctuality and professionalism. This has then continued to be reflected in the quality of tutoring provided in these classes and the guidance given by the tutors to support these. We found Anil to be very personable and approachable and would answer any questions we had throughout the whole process. He is highly experienced and has provided some great insight along the way for us all. Our daughter has thrived through the tutoring provided by Simply Tutored and, importantly, she has really enjoyed the classes. The classes have not been viewed as a chore, but something that she has looked forward to each week. The classes are clearly designed so that they challenge and stretch the children, but are delivered in such a way that they are fun and engaging. Our daughter has made good friends as part of attending the Simply Tutored classes, which also speaks positively to how the classes are structured and delivered. Importantly, we are writing this review prior to receiving any results from 11+ tests (so we are not just writing so positively on the basis of test scores!). Irrespective of what the outcome of the 11+ tests may be, we have been extremely impressed and satisfied with Simply Tutored and we see that it has really benefitted our daughter and will no doubt stand her in good stead for the future. Simply Tutored has been excellent for my son’s Maths tuition. He opted for 1:1 tuition over zoom which was his preference, and since starting the sessions, his knowledge, understanding and confidence in Maths have improved considerably, as has his expected GCSE grade. The tutoring team have been excellent at keeping us updated with dates and scheduling and are easy to contact and quick to respond, as well as being friendly and accommodating throughout. I really can’t recommend them enough for anyone wanting to give their child the opportunity and boost they need to achieve the grades they’re capable of. My son got the offer from his 1st choice super selective grammar school, I’d like to give a huge thanks to his tutor, Dan. My son was below average in writing skills, speed and vocabulary before we approached Ivy for help in the January of Yr 5. After just a few months of tutoring with Dan, I could see his rapid improvement in writing. Dan taught creative writing in a disciplined and systematic way. He knew exactly how the examiners mark the answers, and how my son could get the highest scores in the English paper. Dan also helped my son’s other areas such as written comprehensions and VR. Oh I forgot to mention he had the sample papers of our target schools! When it came to my son’s real entrance exams in September, my son was fully prepared- not only he passed the exam of our 1st choice grammar school, he also passed all other exams we applied, and got full marks in some of them!

I enjoyed my meeting with Yusuf and can see potential in our work together on my PS. My only issue is that I think he is too focused on the philosophical side of PPE as he suggested I read another philosophy book for my PS when I already mentioned one. Especially since for one university I’m applying to economics and politics (bath) as it doesn’t have PPE. So therefore, I would prefer if my PS is more well-rounded of all three subjects.
