My son was struggling with A Level Chemistry having only got a C in his mocks. He needed an A to get into UCL to study medicine. We needed a tutor to improve my son’s exam technique and get him enjoying chemistry again. Seth was incredible at breaking concepts down and really helping him understand and then apply his knowledge correctly. My son got his A and is off to UCL this September. Thank you so much, I cannot recommend Genius Tutoring Services enough.

My daughter had a poor start to Triple Science GCSE, her teacher was newly qualified and sacked by the end of Year 10. So, come Year 11, there was a lot of ground to cover. Elliott was recommended by a colleague. From the very first Zoom meeting, he has been exceptional. Immediately he identified Nell’s gaps, strengths and weaknesses and was able to deliver engaging, coherent and meaningful sessions to meet her needs and help her make progress. He has excellent subject knowledge, is super organised, encouraging and supportive. His delivery is warm and enthusiastic…Nell didn’t once complain about having a session with him (a miracle), her confidence grew and dare I say it, she even looked forward to his sessions! Elliott kept me in the loop regarding next steps for Nell and emailed exam papers and advice as her exams approached. Whatever grades Nell achieves will be largely down to Elliott. My only regret is we didn’t find him sooner.

Kenza is a fantastic French tutor. We have known her professionally and personally for many years and she has been amazing. She is patient and understanding and has been excellent with both of my children. I would not hesitate to recommend her for both children and adults who wish to learn French.

Kenza is good at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of her pupils and tailoring her teaching to help them improve. During the last four years when I have been studying French with her help, my confidence has improved enormously and I know it would have been a slower process without her help. We are new to the UK. My daughter never learned English. After she joined Kumon she start to say words and now it's been 6month, now she is talking to people with confidence(still need to improve). Even her teacher at her school said she improved so fast. Thanks to Kumon in Guildford, we had very nice experiences with it and all staff are very nice and teacher are so patient. My two children have had Kumon maths lessons from the age of 7 and 4 respectively. They are now 15 and 12. Kumon has been a massive part of their success. Not only are they considerably advanced for their age at maths, the confidence it has given them has boosted their performance across all subjects. All three of my children have taken maths, at Kumon in Guildford. We started for various reasons and have ended at different times. My last child has now been doing it for three years now and is two years ahead of where she should be. This was evident in home schooling in lockdown when we were completing year eight maths and she is in year six. Kumon has continued through lockdown with zoom lessons. I could book an individual lesson if stuck and could contact through Whats app and text. Work was easy to exchange with little notes of encouragement. My daughter is determined to finish the program. Ultimately she says she wants to take maths and further maths at A level. Even if this isn't your aim, Kumon will give you a great understanding of maths. Times tables will be known instantly which will help in all aspects of life. The Guildford group is welcoming and when we are allowed to meet again, easy to find. Nicky Gale.

I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again. All-over, I'm so happy with the tuition provider.

Hi, we used Jillian in year 11 to help Sam with his Maths ready for GCSE’s. He found her to be very supportive, calm and liked her teaching methods. He became much more confident in himself with her support and it was definitely the right thing to do! I would thoroughly recommend Elena as a maths tutor. She taught my daughter in such a way that my daughter went from classing maths as her ‘worse subject’ to it now being one of her favourites! Elena can never have enough time and patience for her students and this creates a pressure free zone of learning which really allowed my daughter not to be fearful of this subject but to embrace it.

David is a fantastic maths tutor. He tutored both my children and helped them get the grades they needed for studying their chosen subjects at college. He made sure they understood all the basics before moving on to more complex concepts and always explained everything very clearly. He is very patient, supportive and encouraging. I was the first child David ever tutored, I cannot express the gratitude I have for this man. Not only did he figure out how my brain worked and tailor our lessons to help me grasps concepts, breaking things down in ways I could understand, he also helped figure out how to motivate me. He came each week with determination, patience and empathy. I would not have become a Leeds university graduate without his tutoring. I couldn't recommend anyone more, you won't find anyone as good at tailoring to individual educational and emotional needs.

David has supported both my children individually in maths over many years, my son from yr7-11 and my daughter subsequently from year 4, who is now in year 10. He has been fantastic! My son said David was “Very good at structural revision. Good at teaching step by step and also pushes you to achieve the best you can.” He managed to encourage my son to realise how he could do really well in the higher maths GCSE and in fact he achieved a grade6 which for a dyslexic was fantastic! My daughter says “David is really good at letting you learn the way that suits you rather than forcing you to do maths a particular way”. She’s determined now she has the confidence in herself, to also take the higher paper. As a parent I feel relaxed that David will support my child for long term achievement. They’ve always liked the way he uses the iPad so they can write on the screen and he sets useful homework to practice what they learn each week, if you want that. We are really happy with David’s support.

My son thoroughly enjoys his sessions with Mia both in person and online. After just a few sessions we have noticed the improvement he has made, particularly in his English writing. Mia taught my child Sophie when she needed extra help after school. Sophie really enjoyed and looked forward to the sessions and developed a great relationship with Mia. The sessions were great fun and planned around Sophie’s favourite characters which really helped engage her. It was fantastic to see how quickly Sophie gained confidence in herself and her work . Mia kept me well informed about Sophie’s progress and gave me ways I could help her more at home too. I would highly recommend Mia to help any child. She works extremely hard and really cares about what she does.

Mia taught my 5-year-old daughter for two months online and during that time my child’s progress was remarkable, especially her writing, maths and art skills. My eldest daughter now 11 started Maths Kumon in year 4 and it set her up for starting secondary school as she was so advanced having done Kumon for 3 years. My other two children also do Kumon and as I was so impressed with the Maths programme they are doing English as well. My youngest is 7 and has recently started both subjects. My advice would be to start as soon as you can. The Kumon levels build with your child's ability and is closely monitored by Carole. My children get such little amounts of homework from school that I felt a little 10 minute Kumon booklet a day, would help support them. It is an investment of both parents time and of course the children, but you do get an answer book, so marking is easy! My youngest daughter wasn't happy at school and she is a different girl now as she has grown so much stronger academically and I'm sure this is down to Kumon building her confidence and giving her the building blocks she needed. Carole is a fantastic teacher and supports the children at every step of the way, she is so good at motivating them and working with the them along their Kumon journey. I would definitely recommend Kumon to all parents.
