Thanks to Paul and Christine at Better Tuition, my son passed the Trafford grammar school entrance test for all four Trafford Grammar Schools this year! My two daughters started with Sharon at Kumon in 2021 after missing a lot of time in the classroom because of COVID. It took them a while to get into the swing of it, having homework everyday but very soon they started to exceed where they should be at school and grew more confident in their approach. As their confidence grew they started to really enjoy it! Sharon and the team have been wonderful and really supportive, even helped my eldest in her year 6 SATS. They are now both excelling in Maths at school, scoring way above average in progress tests.

Our kids started with Kumon at the ages of 4 and 7. We were just coming out of COVID and like most children, their learning was negatively impacted by it. We signed up for Maths and English. In my experience, Kumon has helped them learn the basics and has given them a strong foundation, especially with their times tables. They are now smashing the Times Table Rock Star tasks set by their teachers at school. We also noticed a significant improvement in their reading abilities as they were able to move through their reading books at school very quickly. For me one of the standout features of Kumon is the emphasis on self-discipline and independent learning. This has helped my kids' confidence in tackling challenging tasks at school(feedback we received at parents evening) and at home when doing their homework. I must say that Sharon and the team are dedicated and play a pivotal role in the success of the program. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and also the personalised feedback reports that Sharon sends to us regularly are significant to the overall positive experience. They are just generally lovely and very professional people! I also love how they celebrate their achievements, Sharon always has a box of prizes which encourages and motivates the kids when they move on to the next level. Lastly, as a full-time working parent, I appreciate the flexibility that the Kumon Urmston Centre offers, allowing the kids to attend classes at a pace that suits our family's schedule and multiple extracurricular activities that the kids are involved in. I wholeheartedly would recommend Kumon to parents, it is a valuable investment.

My daughter joined Kumon 9 months ago but had a 4 months period of serious illness and missing classroom time. Sharon and her team were very supportive during this time. I did not think my daughter would catch up on her learning because of the nature of her illness. I had also noticed a change in her focus and attention. Sharon was amazing with her! She did not overwhelm her, she gave her enough work to get her confidence back. During days when she was tired, Sharon was so encouraging and occasionally said ‘she was doing better than she expected’. Now, her confidence is back. She has benefited immensely from the daily work that Sharon has set for her. She is excelling both in Maths and English. Her confidence in reading has grown considerably. Kip is an excellent facility with warm and welcoming atmosphere. Teachers are well qualified and the manager is a wonderful chap, who go above and beyond his job to support not just the students but the parents as well. My daughter enjoyed her lessons and online exercises for her 11+ exams. She made a great progress with the learnings and content provided. I observed her, applying practical and mental maths in outdoors and super markets, which is really great to see. The lessons are well prepared with increasing level of difficulty, not too quick neither very long. Children like challenging their selves and gain self-confidence with every successful attempt they made with their lessons. Thank you to all the staff for all what you are doing, best wishes!

My son joined Kip McGrath since Year 4. He could not catch up on English at that time as English is not his first language. He enjoyed the lessons. The staff are very accommodating and understanding. The lessons are well structured and work on areas that each child needs. My son improved a lot on both English and Maths. I'm extremely proud of what he accomplished and can happily say it's due to the help of Kip McGrath.

Assessment Experience We recently took our son to Kip McGrath (Eastway, Sale) for an initial assessment, and I have nothing but positive feedback to share. 1. The centre is aesthetically pleasing and offers a welcoming environment conducive to learning. 2. Ash, who assisted us during the assessment, was highly professional, attentive, clear, and welcoming. We immediately felt we were in capable hands. He interacted wonderfully with our son, displaying encouragement and curiosity. It was evident that they genuinely care about their students, leaving us with a very positive first impression. 3. The instructions provided were clear, well-organised, and concise. We understood the entire process and felt well-informed throughout. 4. We appreciated the complimentary coffee from the neighboring establishment. 5. We were extremely pleased with our son's assessment results. Ash delivered the feedback in a positive and reassuring manner, clearly demonstrating his investment in our son's progress. To our surprise, we learned that our child does not currently require tutoring, and we greatly appreciated the honest and straightforward approach without any pressure to engage further. Ash’s integrity in this situation was commendable, and we valued it greatly. We would certainly consider Kip McGrath for future needs. My son is eager to return, and while we have decided to hold off on tutoring for now to save money, we feel confident that we have not been misled. Overall, it was a truly positive experience. My son has been attending the Tutor Connect tuition centre since January. He finds the notes are really good, the teachers breaks down the topics very well and explains and simplifies it in a way is much easier to understand. My son definitely finds it a help to him. I have used and continue to use Learn North West for both my boys. We’ve done mock exams, summer school, dyslexia tuition and KS3 group sessions. All the team we have come into contact with have been really friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Helen and her team are just wonderful. My daughter felt so supported throughout this entire 11+ journey/process. It is so much for a 10year to undertake but Helen and the team make it easy. The group sessions made tutoring fun and supportive. My daughter has made so lovely friends and hopes to see them again in the future. She felt prepared for the 11+, not only academically but emotionally. They are always only a text message away for any advice or support you need as a child or a parent going through the 11+. Helen and her team have been fantastic throughout the 11+ preparation for our daughter. Initially, we were sceptical about choosing group sessions over one-to-one tutoring, worrying that it might not offer the same level of attention. I can't thank the ladies enough with all the help that they have given my son over the years.
