The Best Dentists in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom (2025)

My first check up was yesterday. My initial contact to try to register, I walked in to ask to register as an NHS patient as my previous Dentist was not in Bishops Stortford and needed one in the area. The reception staff were all so helpful and booked an appointment for the following week to register and have a check up. On my first checkup the Dentist was so lovely and explained everything and talked through my X-ray. Thank you for accepting me as an NHS patient. I have not had any treatment as yet but know I will feel at ease with the Dentist when I have any treatment.

Great from start to finish. Very polite staff, easy going and they actually take their time to explain everything to you. Not rushing you like other dentists.

Fantastic. Yusuf Patel agreed to fit me in with only a few minutes notice, he was great. Everyone was so lovely, happy and friendly. Nobody knew that I have had bad experiences in the past at other dentists that meant I’ve been too scared to go, so first time in 10 years and they really put me at ease.. I’m so grateful thank you!

Really, really lovely practice. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, the practice is clean and welcoming once inside and the dentist that saw me (Dr Shah) really relieved a lot of my anxiety about the dentist. She answered all my questions, explained in detail about what she saw and just was overall kind. I also spoke to the manager who was very informative and kind as well. Highly recommend

This is the best practice with the best dentists. I've had some negative experiences in the past which leads to nerves but having Arnie as my dentist has calmed me so much. Lovely man than I trust so much that I can now go in knowing I need treatment and not be a sweaty shaking mess. Even my needle phobia is catered for with them making sure that I never see the syringe and being offered cream to make it more comfortable (I didn't need the cream because I trust them but it's appreciated.) I will always recommend this surgery and dentist. Thanks again guys.

Sofia is a truly caring and talented dentist. I would highly recommend her for adults and children alike. She is calm and professional making patients feel safe and heard.

Arnie is always friendly and explains everything in great detail (for those interested). I always enjoy a chat too as we have similar interests. He went out of his way for me in fixing a previous tooth I was not completely happy with which was really appreciated. Top service, lovely dentist, 5 Stars!

Professional, friendly and caring staff. I've visited this Practice many times before and it improves every time! The Practice expanded and 3x additional Surgery rooms have been added on the 1st floor. I met with Sonia, Lampros and Emmanouella. Talented and enthusiastic team.

I have been coming to Castle Dental Practice for over 10 years now. Issa is my dentist. He is the most kind, supportive, caring, professional, most beautiful soul who I am so incredibly blessed to have caring for me. I had many issues over the years with my fear of dentists. Issa and his team of dental assistants have gone above and beyond in making my experiences as manageable as possible to the point I no longer fear being seen. All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Nothing is too much for them. They are always so efficient at getting me seen and taking care of me. I can’t thank Issa enough for everything he has done and continues to do for me. If you are looking for a dental practice to join - then this is the one to come to. Thank you to you all.

Firstly I’m a very anxious patient after a previous bad extraction at another surgery resulting in a hospital visit ! So when I needed another I was very reluctant. Issa reassured me that Dr Mokhtari who visits from Addenbrookes would be the man to do it. This took place yesterday. It was a very difficult extraction, over 1.5 hrs but he was calm and reassured me the whole way through, keeping me pain free and as relaxed as was possible ! Would 100% recommend if you need this doing and glad I trusted in Issa for this procedure.

Sam is without the best dentist I have ever encountered. I had neglected my teeth for years due to a real fear of dentists. Sam is extremely caring and professional and I cannot recommend him highly enough having done both multiple extractions and fillings for me in the past few years

A well run, clean and organised dental practice. Dr Issa is so friendly and gentle, taking his time to explain what he is doing. Today, I had a hygienist appointment with Rachel who was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to explain what she was doing as well as techniques and products I could get to improve my oral health. I am so glad I use Castle Dental. Really pleased.

Find all staff especially Suki, Chloe and Nadia absolutely fantastic. Never had any issues, really put you at ease. I've had a few teeth pulled in the past but no one as good or quick and painless as Suki. Bravo to you all

As always totally happy ! Anita ( my dentist) is such a lovely , caring and professional lady and takes every step to help me to relax . Like most people I find the dentist very daunting, but I have less anxiety now about visiting since I have joined this practice. Katie , was absolutely lovely !!! She carried out my hygiene work and used the new Airflow system , which not only tasted very nice , but was totally pain free . Mr Amey , the practice manager is a really nice guy,so helpful, approachable , kind and truly professional.. I can't go without mentioning the reception staff who are absolutely lovely too . Big welcoming smiles as you walk in . I travel 45 minutes to get here , so that tells you a lot about my experience as a customer . 10/10 always ! Thank you to all . Karen Bruce

Today I had my new patient check up with Chee. She made me feel at ease as I have a phobia of dentists. Both Chee and her dental assistant were very understandable and patient with me when I had dental treatment after the check up. Thank you Chee for restoring my confidence to visit the dentists after years of not being able to because of nerves.

Having used another dentist in BS, and being unhappy with the general advice and service, my wife encouraged me to use Bupa. I was seen today by Garima and her assistant. Friendly with great communication, I really could not fault any aspect of my visit, all of the staff are very professional and welcoming, I now know why my wife and kids actually enjoy visiting this practice! I had a great free Invisalign consultation with Tasha, she looked after me, talked me through the steps and the options to choose from. I've since been seen by Shivani who was excellent! I felt in very good hands and I'm looking forward to continuing my treatment with her.

Everyone at Damira is always patient and kind.Padma is particularly gentle whilst advising the most suitable treatments and my dental health has vastly improved over the few years we have been registered with them. I used to hate going but not now. Going to the dentist is still not my favourite outing but I feel safe in their hands and l trust them to do their best for me. Jean Moore This was a clean and brighten up. I asked Padma how I could get rid of the heavy stains on my teeth. This was the treatment I had yesterday and it took her only about 15 minutes to transform my old lady looking teeth into a much healthier, cleaner looking smile.I have never smoked but tea and coffee stains were so unattractive but now my teeth look clean for the first time in years.If you have worries or a problem they listen and help.
