We asked Chris to replace our banister rail. He turned up when he said he would to measure and estimate and again to complete the work He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Good quality materials, a job well done.

Chris did a great job for me. Made bespoke cabinets for my living room and then I had him back to put new decking in my back garden. His work was excellent both times, and very reasonable in terms of cost.

I asked Chris if he could fit a couple of doors for me. He made some really good suggestions as well as having reasonable rates. Chris is a brilliant carpenter, really reliable and always leaves the job clean and tidy. I am really glad I found him and am looking forward to finding more projects for him.

Chris has just completed a couple of jobs for me including redoing the opening mechanism of my garage...which now opens with ease. He turned up when he said he would and left the work area tidy. I will definitely be calling on Chris for my next job.

C S Carpentry and Construction have undertaken two carpentry jobs for me - both of which were completed to an incredibly high standard by a professional and polite team. They fitted bespoke wall units/shelving and built a pagoda and privacy screening in my garden. At every stage I was consulted on what I wanted exactly and as the work progressed that the outcome they were creating was the vision I had in mind. I cannot fault the quality of their work and their advice on how my idea could be further enhanced with particular finishing. I would thoroughly recommend the business and will be using them again in the future for any carpentry work I might need completing.

Steve did an excellent job. Great communication, reliable, clearly a neat and tidy worker and quality craftsmanship. What I really appreciated though is that he went above and beyond the job in hand and made efforts to repair the worn brick around the door being prepared and even helped prepare the door for paintwork I am going to do. Really appreciated these extra touches.

Another successful element of works complete. remaining doors and lining replacement. Also boxed out new bathroom to hide pipes and allow tiler to complete, included access panels.

We’ve had the pleasure of engaging Steve’s services for a number of years now as we chip away at the renovation of our Victorian house. He’s been brilliant - he built some bookshelves for us which everyone compliments when they visit our house, he also built a pantry under our stairs, and most recently an airing cupboard in an odd space in our top landing. Steve listens to his client but also has lots of great suggestions. His style is sympathetic to the period of the house. He is courteous, shows up on time, gets the job done with minimal fuss or mess, responds to messages promptly. 10/10!

We booked with Lee to build a coat rack with some left over worktop from the utility room and some hooks taken off the coat wrack I bought but the hubby broke trying to fix to the wall! Can not even begin to tell you how chuffed I am with the results…I love it and will definitely be using again in the furture!! Can not recommend enough xx

We are thrilled with the bookcases, desk and complete kitchen that Roan designed for us;, and to Heaver and Lynch for their installation. We decided to use Thoroughly Wood because of the responsiveness of Roan to our needs and the quality of his and Heaver and Lynch's work. Using a local firm appealed to us. They responded positively to our design requests and nothing was too much trouble for them. We can't speak too highly of them.

Booked them 10 years ago. Moved and needed my study to be fully bespoked. Looks amazing. Only problem is that study looks too good for the house. Chose walnut wood- best choice. Roan was very helpful from start to finish. Cost is same/similar as other well know shops BUT they use MDF with veneers on top! Thoroughly wood uses real wood- no MDF. Great company,
