Really cute little cafe in Hackney Wick. A nice little hidden gem. We came here for a work breakfast and they were fine with us working there for a few hours, some cafes stop people using laptops but these guys were so relaxed it was great. The breakfast was nice, I had the bacon bap with the ‘thingie’ sauce which was good. The only downside was it was really oily. Every time I took a bite it dripped so much oil. Other than that it was great. Coffee was really nice too.
Absolutely love this place! Food (and coffee!) is good with lots of vegan and veggie options, including vegan desserts. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Space is magical with lots of bright light, good spots to set up a laptop, and a lovely garden to hang out in. They do events too, most of which sound really interesting (though I haven't made it to one yet).
We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my husband’s 30th at Thingy Cafe. The team were incredibly helpful and accommodating and made the event very smooth. The catering was fantastic - delicious burgers, fries, Mac and cheese balls and the team kindly ordered in beer, did a bespoke negroni cocktail and brought a lot of fun running the bar so well. We are so thrilled we used Thingy Cafe for this party and could not recommend them quick enough for anyone else looking to hire a space or an event. This space is absolutely perfect for events and everyone at the party said it felt intimate yet spacious and was an ideal venue. It really shows off East London in all its golden glory.
It’s genuinely cozy, a laptop-friendly space, perfect for work. Heads up for the kiddos – bring your headphones because, at first, there were quite a few, and they’re not shy about making some noise 😂. So, it’s kid-friendly too! The chicken sandwich was delicious, reaching ‘Mammma Mia’ levels 🤌🏻. The waitstaff were incredibly polite and helpful in selecting drinks or lunch. By the way, there’s a hidden option: you can customize your lunch or drink on your own on some level. 😬 ♥️🙏 my love and I loved it 😬
I am organizing an event here, and very happy with how accommodating they have been. I've been dealing with Maya and Elizabeth and they have both been great. The space is spacious with an outdoor area too. The food is good and service quick. A great vibe in there too.
