A lovely little micropub, immaculately clean and with a good selection of real ales. A tiny garden out the back, seating and tables outside on the pavement. Very impressed so what’s not to like? All the beers were an eye watering £5.75 a pint. Crikey. My favourite tipple is Goachers Fine Light which I can get for £3.60 and £4 in town. I still enjoyed my beer and will return but spend less.

This is a proper community tap / micro pub. I grew up this village and moved away. This kind of place didn’t exist then… but it’s great. I’ve only visited once but will be back. Holly was behind the bar for most of my visit and did a great job as hostess - pouring beers and generous with her conversation - but Paul, one of the co-owners, was there too, and was also very friendly. I met a number of regulars, who spoke enthusiastically about the live music that was due to start soon after I left, based on their previous experience. The beers were all well kept and there was a decent variety (several pales, a stout and a pilsner), all at fair prices to this customer’s eye. (I live and drink in London now so am used to paying considerably more.) My only quibble would be that there was no cask - but maybe that’s something that could be added. In the meantime, I’m going to mark generously. And while I’m not going to claim, disingenuously, that I wouldn’t have left the village if there’d been something like this when I grew up here (the lure of the West End, the lights, the gigs, the LIFE was too strong), I will say this is a hugely positive addition to the village and well worth visiting if you live nearby and have not yet been.

Enjoyed my first drink here , sitting in the garden after the Christmas lights switch on . Great service and good atmosphere
