A very good carvery at a very reasonable price. Ample vegetables to accompany. We have paid several visits over the years since it opened and never been disappointed. A good selection is also available on the main menu. A Weekday visit, we have found is more to our liking as not too busy. The tables are slightly more crowded in the main dining area makes it slightly less enjoyable when completely packed. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. There are QR Codes on the table where you can add an app to your phone and with your table number order your food. However, mobile signals are often weak at this location, making difficult. It wasn’t a problem as you can still order old school by going to the counter. Customer service has always been the best.
Not been for a while and was pleasantly surprised at the much improved efficiency, especially the speed of service. Beef and Ale pie was cracking with the addition of onion gravy. Bar service superb and I even heard a barmaid asking if anyone was waiting to be served!!! Keep it up Chris and Katie and team. Will now return more often.✅✅
Visited today as a spur of the moment treat. Managed to get a table despite not booking & it being very busy. Fantastic service & great selection as always. Even grabbed a cake to go as we were far too full from lunch.
One of the best, most reasonable places around. The staff are such friendly people, and the atmosphere is good. Definitely worth a visit. We always leave full and ridiculously happy.
