I’ve been going to Dontev for a couple years now and every time April does my hair and it comes out lovely. I get my hair coloured blonde it is always just what I asked for. All the staff are amazing and create such a lovely atmosphere for the salon. Couldn’t recommend enough!

April consistently impresses me with her exceptional hair coloring skills. The results are not only long-lasting but also leave me feeling confident and rejuvenated after each visit. April consistently demonstrates a high level of attentiveness to your desired hair style and never fails to deliver exactly what you envision. I will never consider going to any other hairdressers!! I’ve been going to Dontev hairdressers for what must be 10 years now, with a big shout-out to Lyn who, over the years, has helped me find the best style and colour to tame my then wild frizzy uncontrollable hair, also almost every visit, Lyn takes the time to show me a new vintage-style up-do to practice at home! Going to the hairdressers is my ‘me time’ and during each visit, Lyn gives a very professional yet personal service, I enjoy our chats putting the world to rights and always leave feeling like a new woman. The salon is a very calm, relaxed environment and it’s evident how much effort the whole team puts in at Dontev to make it an excellent experience for every customer during their visit, which is a dying art – so bravo Team Dontev for flying the flag for excellence in customer service. It goes without saying that I would highly recommend Dontev hairdressers and the wonderful Lyn as my trusted hairdresser of many years, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been going to Dontev hairdressers ever since it opened over twenty years ago. Staff are unfailingly polite and friendly which makes such a difference. I would like to give particular praise to Lyn who has cut and coloured my hair for many years now. Lyn goes out of her way to accommodate suitable appointment times and is always upbeat and cheerful regardless of how busy she might be when I go in. Lyn styles and colours my hair to my liking and I have complete confidence in her professional skills. She’s definitely “a cut above” for me!

Louise's salon and the service she provides is second to none. The salon is lovely, perfectly clean and very tranquil, I always leave feeling very relaxed and pampered. As Louise only has one client sitting at a time, you have her full undivided attention, which for me makes the experience all the more enjoyable and relaxed. Louise is an excellent stylist and is very attentive, as well as being a lovely person. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my extensions, they always look amazing, so natural and perfectly colour matched. This is my time out for me & yes it’s just a trip to the hairdressers buts it’s for me . Louise is there for you and as it’s personal it’s a special relationship to both of us . I get an honest answer and come out feeling great . A bonus is a drink and head massage , what’s not to like . I've been their customer for a long time. They're very friendly and helpful. Xavier was my hairdresser. He's always listening to what I'd like. Also he's helpful with his advice. And he's a very nice guy, always cheerful. They create a very good atmosphere there. And they have competitive prices. Give them a try.

I had been with my old hairdresser nearly 8 years however the travel out of Ashford was too much with my life and job. I looked at online reviews for salons in Ashford and Gorgeous stood out as both highly rated and 10+ years in business. I arrived early but immediately the atmosphere was amazing. When I was seated and explained what I wanted, the wonderful owner knew exactly what I was asking for and was extremely knowledgable. My hair came out looking amazing and so soft..! I took a chance to find a new hairdresser and I got lucky first try. HIGHLY recommend.

Friendly,lovely to talk to. I've got my hair done there for gosh knows how long and everytime they amaze me. Got my hair recently done here and I did not know what I wanted all I knew was I wanted blond fading from the brown and they took that and turned it into something amazing. I love it so much and they do variety of hair.

I go every month for treatments and have had other treatments there too, the staff and owner are always so love! Great prices and great service

Such a welcoming friendly place. I am a man who has very curly hair and came for chemical hair straightening. Left with long, sleek straight hair and couldn't be happier. The girls are so helpful when giving advice for someone like me who didn't have a clue how to look after long hair properly. Very satisfied with the service and results. Brilliant! I highly recommend this salon. Karine restyled my hair for me yesterday, and I could not be happier. I do not usually go to the hairdresser's; I dislike it. However, Karine was so friendly and knowledgeable that I immediately felt at easy. She took the time to talk to me about what I wanted, she explained all the possible options for my hair type, and she walked me though everything that she was doing. Really good place for a man's haircut. Better prices than other barbers in Ashford and one can pay by card. They even have a loyalty card. They do take their time but one comes out with a really nice haircut.

From December 2023: It was my first time coming to this salon today, the staff are all really lovely. My hair hadn’t been cut for 15 months and it needed sorting badly as I got fed up with it being so long and knotty etc. I am really pleased with my hair, not sure of the lady’s name but she did a wonderful job. I will be returning and will recommend this salon to family and friends ! X

Took my 9 year old daughter for her first proper salon experience she has a cut, blowdry, and style. So she was well and truely pampered and it made her day thank you very so much.
