Charmaine is lovely, professional and a great hairdresser. The COVID procedures that were introduced in the salon were great, keeping both of us safe whilst having our usual natter! Would happily recommend Charmaine to anyone, especially if you’re a fellow curly haired human. Great service and amazing value.

I have been using Charmaine's Hair & Beauty since I moved to Newbury 8 years ago and I highly recommend it. Charmaine has always done a fantastic job of cutting and colouring my hair, and she has cut it into a new style on a couple of occasions when I wanted a change. The prices are very reasonable, particularly compared to certain other over-priced hair salons in Newbury. I always enjoy chatting to Charmaine while she does my hair and i'm looking forward to going back once lockdown is lifted and she is able to reopen. Charmaine takes Covid-19 very seriously and the safety measures she implemented made me feel comfortable about visiting the salon.

I spent the day with Emily doing 1 to 1 training on nanos and tapes and it was so much fun. I was a complete newbie, but Emily makes you feel instantly relaxed, takes it at your own pace and gave me plenty of time to ask questions and go over anything I was worried about. She shared so much information and I came away feeling so excited to start my journey and start my own business. She's given me confidence and I love that she'll always have my back going forwards as my mentor should I need any further help down the line 🤍 xxx

Visited for the first time last week and loved it. Rachel listened to what I wanted, asked all the right questions about what I did and how I need my hair to work for me. Having not had a haircut for 6 months she had a lot to work on but I’m delighted with result. I’ll definitely be going back - and it’ll be a lot sooner than in 6 months.

My treatments were eyebrow shape & tint and half leg wax. I was a new client for Josie and she shaped my eyebrows just as I like them and tinted to the correct colour. Very little redness after which is unlike me, so great job all round! Would definitely recommend!

I had a massage in Josie’s home salon. It is quiet, excellently appointed and Josie gave me excellent treatment. It was a calming, healing hour. It would not be suitable for disabled people as the room is upstairs and parking is not available in her road but on free 2 hour slots in a nearby road. I was told of this before my visit.

The perfect hot stone massage in the heart of Newbury! First off Josie was absolutely amazing. She was very friendly, polite and professional. In her private salon, Josie created the perfect relaxing atmosphere. There was spa/relaxing music in the background, dimmed lights, perfect temperature. The massage was very relaxing, especially now in this grey weather, a hot stone massage is what i needed. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Kellie for my hair colouring and cut and Nicole for my eyelashes and eyebrow tints and massages for over 11 years. I'm still getting compliments about my hair colour. Nicole styles my eyebrows in such a way to make me feel better than I did 20 years ago (I'm in my 40s now). The massage I had today was perfect - felt very floaty afterwards. I've sent my friends for massages with Nicole as I wanted them to experience the same. Thank you!

I have been going to Kellie for quite a few years now. I love the way she colours & cuts my hair. I always come away so pleased with the results. She now has her own salon in the centre of Newbury which I visited for the first time today. A lovely spacious salon which has been very stylishly decorated. Always made to feel welcome & a great selection of reading materials along with a good cup of coffee. Reggie the local celebrity sausage dog often makes an appearance with Gina who also works with Kellie and he is such a poppet curled up in his bed minding his own business but keeping an eye on proceedings A great salon and one which Kellie & her sister have worked so hard to achieve and open so customers can enjoy it, while having a relaxing time being pampered.

Kellie is an absolute professional, and she is more than excellent at her job. Kellie takes a personal interest in her clients, and she has an incredible eye for detail. I have been seeing Kellie now for many years and I have always left her salon overjoyed with the result. She looks after my hair and has taught how to manage coloured hair so that I can get the most out of my colour and style. I honestly can’t recommend her enough - and her new salon is a fantastic experience. Everything that you need to indulge all under one roof.

I cannot recommend Claire highly enough for a Swedish massage. I am a massage therapist myself and struggle to find someone who really does a great massage which is firm but relaxing and gets to all those tense areas! My whole body feels lighter and more relaxed. Thank you Claire!

Visited Twist yesterday for the first time. I had a beautiful colour and cut. Brown low-lights and blond high-lights have blended with my greys and natural hair colour brilliantly. My new bob feels lovely and suits my face shape. Lovely atmosphere , I could tell all the staff are happy and proud to work there.

Fabulous experience at the courtyard salon, Elcot Park. Andrew was amazing. I've had social anxiety for many years, I had been doing DIY hair cuts for 8 years, Andrew made me feel relaxed, comfortable during my appointment, fantastic chatter and most importantly felt amazing with my hair-do when I left.

I was recommended Lauren and oli from a good client of mine. I had a cut and blow dry with oli on my first appointment. He was excellent and friendly and I left very pleased. A few weeks later I had a full head of highlights with Lauren. She discussed with me what I wanted to achieve. Was very knowledgeable and the result was the best colour I have ever had. My hair was beautifully and carefully dried by their assistant who was also excellent. You are made to feel very welcome and comfortable and I'm so grateful to have found a real gem in Newbury.

I just wanted to share that I had the most amazing reflexology with Jill. The welcome from all the staff is so warm and kind and you are always made to feel part of the family. I can really struggle to relax but Jill was fantastic at putting me at ease and making me comfortable. The treatment used wonderful products from Neal's Yard, I felt so incredibly relaxed as well and the feeling lasted all day. I can't thank you enough.
