The Best Beauty Salons And Hairdressers in Lee On The Solent, Hampshire, United Kingdom (2025)

This is the third time I’ve been to ‘U and G Hair and Aesthetics’ services with Ummi (saloon owner, hair professional and Lee-On-Solent’s best business personalities. She is a Star). Per her guidance/ recommendation, I made an appointment to have my braids removed, hair shampooed and conditioned. Prior to starting, Ummi explained the process, what was going to happen, the time and the cost, ensuring I was comfortable with what was going to take place. Once she could see I was have, she went straight to work like an athlete coming out of starting blocks. I could not believe how quick and an efficient she was and quickly braiding my hair in no time. I’ve added before and after pictures (six in total). I have to share I’m really pleased with the end results. Very pleased with the service I’ve received. I will definitely be using her hair dressing skill again and most importantly, I’ll be recommend to friends and family.

I have visited U&G hair salon several times, Ummi really listens to what you require and I have been pleased with the results. The salon is beautifully designed with a relaxed feel, which comes from Ummis friendly and professional approach. As yet, I have only had my hair cut and blow dried, I will treat myself soon to some of the relaxing beauty treatments on offer.

My 11yr old mixed race daughter with full on afro hair has just had her first appointment with the lovely Ummi and these visits will now be regular and the only person and Salon we will use in the future. Ummi is amazing and managed to detangle and get my daughters unruly hair in to a manageable state to now have braids which will be done next week. No mean feat I can tell you and not being great with hair myself I am so relieved to find someone I trust with my daughters hair after poor experiences in the past at other salons who really don't understand mixed race hair. I totally recommend Ummi and her team for any hair needs but if you have mixed race children and are struggling then please do not hesitate......make an appointment or pop down for a consultation. Friendly, welcoming, patient, great facilities......I could go on.......just WOW. Thankyou so much Ummi......see you Wednesday.xx

My autistic son had a meltdown as soon as the hair stylist started cutting, and she was amazing. Managed to cut the majority of his hair, when he got too distressed she listened when I said he needed 2 minutes. She was so calm, kept her composure, and I was so impressed at how well she managed to cut my sons hair. Would definitely recommend for neurodivergents.

My son is only 2 years old so haircuts for him are a rather traumatic experience to say the least. However, his very first trip to Cuts and Clobber has left him with a gorgeous haircut. The girls are so lovely and patient as well as skilled at what they do especially with my son shaking his head and screaming! Thank you so much for such a fab hair cut for my son. We shall definitely be back.

I took my 4 year old here for her birthday, she didn't end up getting it cut but the lady did braid her hair and sprayed it with colour, it was £22, however, my 4 year old loved this experience amd got a certificate at the end, shame she didn't get her hair cut for that price. Good place to take for a first cut.

I took my daughter (2 years old) here for her first hair cut and they were fantastic. The hairdresser was so kind and caring that my daughter felt comfortable and at ease. The hairdresser listened to my thoughts on the haircut and cut her hair beautifully. To top it all off, my daughter's hair was styled at the end and had some bows put in which made her feel very special. Thank you so much.

The World of Beauty is an outstanding salon. Serena and Michelle are lovely ladies who are so smiley, cheerful, positive and know their clients very well, offering a top service. Serena always does an excellent job on my nails and I always leave feeling very happy and pampered. She has created a warm and inviting space for ladies ( and chaps if needed) in her wonderful salon. I cannot recommend it enough.

Making the decision to change my dentist and join Forever Young Dental practice instead, was one of the best decisions I've made... Becky and the team are superb at their work, and her experience as a dental hygienist and other teeth fixes are some of the best I've had experienced so far, she has done an excellent job.. The team is warm, friendly, professional and their prices are very reasonable. I feel lucky I have Becky as my dentist now.

Had the best experience today having new eyebrows. I can’t wait to return for more treatments. I’m going for eyeliner next. I felt totally confident that I was going to be happy with the finished brows because Nikee put so much time effort and passion into creating them. I feel like I’ve been on a spa day it was so relaxing. I can’t stop smiling at my new eyebrows.

I have had issues with my teeth for years, since seeing Bex my teeth and gums have been great, in fact they have never been so good. Bex is very calm and professional, her advice on my cleaning technique has proved invaluable. I would highly recommend her

Amazing service and a lovely salon, had a cut and blow dry today for the first time at Blonde and Boujee and was very impressed staff are all lovely Pheobe gave me the best head massage I've ever had! Lauren cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and was very knowledgeable and helpful will definitely be back! Highly recommend 💗

I had the Japanese Hair Spa with Aimee and it was the most relaxing experience I’ve ever had. She gave me insight to my scalp condition before and after the treatment. During the treatment I was so relaxed and the head massage was bliss. My hair was so soft afterwards too. I would highly recommend this treatment.

My regular hairdresser. I started going here as I wanted to have a style that wasn't short back and sides, but felt that I wasn't listened to at my regular place. Sarah here really listens to what I want to do with my hair and also gives me great advice on what can be done while also suggesting things to ensure I get the style I want. I like the atmosphere and chilled out vibe to the place and look forward to my regular visits each month.
