We had a lovely meal and the food is fabulous. The room and acoustics are really noisy, making it really difficult to hear conversations even when the restaurant is only half full. We think it would be so good if the management would look into what they could do to improve this, as it would make the experience so much better for customers. Another restaurant we know did this and the difference was amazing.
It's a while since we have been to Valentino's Wakefield which is a pity as it was truly amazing! When we arrived at three in the afternoon on a Sunday we had the place to ourselves, but after a while it did start to fill up.
I don't recall what everyone in my party had to eat but for me it was Fish Bites (very tasty) for starter and my main course was Pollo Valentino's. Perfection! I had to skip dessert due to lack of space, so I settled for a quiet cup of Earl Grey tea!
The atmosphere at Valentino's is also worth noting as being somewhat special. The guests are made to feel comfortable, there is no rushing about, no pressure to order. Everything seems somewhat casual and laid back yet in the backbackground the team at Valentino's are working tirelessly to deliver a first class service.
There is only one Valentino's Wakefield and for me they fully deserve a 5+ star rating. If you have never been there, give it a try!
Food and service weren't amazing but it was Christmas eve, maybe everyone just wanted to go home 😂
It took a while to get us seated and we didn't get served at the bar while we were waiting for our table because they only had one member of staff behind the bar and he had a backlog of drinks to make, so we just stood around for almost 10 minutes. When we finally were about to be served, the waiter asked us to follow him to our table so we still didn't get a drink.
The food was nice but nothing to shout about. We all said we wouldn't rush back again, but it might suit other people more than it did us.
