Breakfasts are really filling tried to tackle the mega but failed due to having a steak at same venue the evening before. Couple of days later I opted for the standard which was plenty. Friendly staff good choice of dishes and right next to a canal so brilliant views. If I'm up this way again will definitely return.
Booked a table for Christmas Eve, arrived early and was shown to our table. Steak was cooked perfectly for my husband and I really enjoyed the veggie one burger, finished with hot crumble and custard. Staff are friendly with a good pub atmosphere. Good value for money.
We do local breakfasts quite a lot.
I personally find this to be the tastiest breakfast. Especially the bacon and the butter!!
On today's visit, I saw several additions to the breakfast menu. Tough decision! But I accepted not getting any bacon or toast and trying the Waffels benedict. I was not disappointed at all! It was full of flavours and perfectly cooked.
We were served by Sam, who was very pleasant and helpful.
Ps. I pinched a bite of bacon and slice of toast off husbands plate.
2nd time we've eaten here in a couple of weeks.
Tonight 3 of us had some lovely food
The Mixer Grill was great and I struggled to finish it.
Very good service too, used the app which worked fine and drinks/food brought over swiftly.
For a 'chain' pub this is very good. The pub is in a great setting and there are also some lovely canal walks right outside the door.
